Haley's Painting

I sent pictures of the work that needed to be done and when the two men arrived, they were prepared to work. I showed them several drywall repairs and four ceiling repairs. They worked for about 2 hours and completed all the work that I requested. The work on the ceilings was so good that you can't tell that anything has been done. The drywall repairs on a stairway was particularly difficult to repair (it involved some wainscoting) and they were able to fix it as good as new. I would certainly use them again.

Just OK. Two concerns we had with the experience: 1. There we two individuals at the house. An older gentleman and a younger one. Once showed them what needed to be done, we let them do their work. at one point during the day, my wife saw the younger gentleman who was working in our master bathroom come out of the master close which is in a different part of the bedroom. While we could not find anything missing, it was inappropriate and uncomfortable to have this happen. 2. After they had left, we found paint splatter on the vanity cabinet in the basement bathroom that had to have been from when they did the work. This should have been caught and cleaned up.

We originally wanted the wallpaper removal but because of the demand from the big deal, we were able to remove the wallpaper ourselves before the scheduled date. Once the paper was removed, it was easy to see why it had been wallpapered in the first place. The walls were a mess and in dire need of repair. Jeff and his assistant first arrived on time at our home address. We had neglected to indicate that the job was at a different location than our billing address. Given the correct address, Jeff found the jobsite in a very reasonable amount of time considering the time of day and traffic. Once Jeff surveyed the job, they went right to work. They stayed longer than the required time and didn't leave until the job was finished. Well over the 2 hours required by the deal considering the added travel time. After they were done and the repairs had dried, all I had to do was a little sanding and it was ready for primer. Jeff even suggested what type of primer to use. The painted walls look great.

I saw that there was a special on Angies List for drywall repair so called Haleys for an estimate. He told me then that the special had already expired but would still come out and give an estimate. The estimate he gave me was very good and I dont think any of the other specials could have beat it since most of those deals said no ceilings included. We needed the job done quickly and he was very quick to respond with an estimate and then started the job a few days later. Jeff and his worker came on time and worked the whole time and finished the job by in a half day. They textured the ceilingto match the rest of it really well. Since they were good at that job we got an estimate for the painting and he gave us one that night to use a sprayer and do the walls and ceiling. A week later Jeff and his worker came out and did the job. We had to do minimal moving of furniture as he woked around it all and made sure everything was covered and cleaned afterwards. Price was good, quality of work was good and everything was done in a timely manner.

Two painters for a full day as part of an Angie's Big Deal offer. The painters were very professional. They arrived on time and worked diligently and neatly. I was not expecting to get as much painting done as they accomplished in one day. Very satisfied with the amount of work and the quality of work.

The work was fine. I only gave it a B, because I expected quality work and thought "above-and-beyond" would be an A. They did leave a little patch-mix dust on the floor near the sink where they got water. Hence, a B. We had damaged the drywall where an old TV wall mount was removed. There was another repair needed where our son's heel hit the wall near his bed during a flip onto the bed. The third area was a popped corner where two walls met and the metal corner guard under the mud had bent/bulged a little bit (due to the house settling, I believe). They arrived a week early (unexpectedly), because of a paperwork error. It was not a problem for us, and I had them go ahead and patch these areas, since they were on site. They added a screw to hold the corner guard more firmly in place, and put a coat of mud on that. I had also scheduled painting of that corner area, so they added another thin coat of mud when they returned one week later. That dried while they went to work on our paint job, and it got painted later in the day. Looks good. You cannot tell the corner had ever popped.

I originally repsonded to a special listing I received as an email from Angie's List at the end of January. I paid for the special on-line and contacted Haley's Painting. They responded to my email promplty - they told me that they were scheduling the work for Mid-March. We settled on March 12th at 8:00am. I took the morning off from work - but they didn't show up! I called them and left a message - they did return the call by 9:30am - they did fit me in the schedule. They were friendly, professional and did a great job. They cleaned up after they finished. I would highly recommend their work

I responded to one of Angie's List big deals (or whatever it's called) to purchase up to 4 hrs of drywall repair. These two small jobs have been out there forever needing done and this was the perfect chance. I purchased it and contacted them to schedule. Apparently Jeff got a LOT of response to this offer because it took awhile to get it scheduled, but we did and today he came and did the work. He showed up when he said he would be here and was EXTREMELY professional. His van was nice and he was dressed professionally in his white painter's outfit. He assessed the jobs and started to work. He used drop cloths everywhere and completely cleaned up after himself. He did multiple passes with the various muds (using a fan to let it dry some between coats) and topped it off with a thin coat of very light mud. Almost perfectly smooth with no sanding yet. All I have to do is give it a very light sanding once it dries and then prime and paint and I will be done. It was obvious he does a LOT of this work and knows what he is doing. Not some part time guy who used to do drywall trying to earn a few bucks. I couldn't have been more pleased with this job. It was the perfect opportunity to get these two small jobs knocked out, and at a price no one else could touch (or want to mess with). I visited with Jeff and he has a crew to do larger jobs, and I would not hesitate to call him again. Before he left, he had me inspect the work and made sure I was happy with it and gave me the chance to let him know anything I wasn't happy with. But it looked great. HIGHLY recommend.

Jeff went out of his way to work around our schedule. Their work was very high quality, their cost was reasonable (drywall approximately $200; interior painting approximately $800), and their service was professional. Drywall repair was completed in 1/2 day; interior painting was completed in 2 days. We will definitely call them again.

After a confusion on the scheduled time for the job, they came out and did the job and completed it in the given time frame.

I sent them some possible dates and they did email me in a timely manner saying they would need to call me with different dates, since none of those worked. Apparently they were swamped with too many Big Deal orders and were then unresponsive. I called them to let them know I had used some one else.

I was very impressed with this company. When I initially called Jeff to schedule the painting I explained I had purchased a Big Deal and that I would love to get the painting done quickly because I am having out-of-town guests coming to stay. Jeff worked with me to get me scheduled promptly. He called me when he was on his way the morning of the work, arrived exactly on time and got right to work. He worked so efficiently I was able to go get more paint and have them paint a second double-bathroom (large bathroom with tub and toilet in one room and two sinks in the other). So, a large guest bathroom and a double-bathroom painted in 8 hours for $399! Jeff and his partner were friendly and professional (my husband even commented on how nice Jeff was and my huband never comments on things like that). I will definitely use them again. I know I will be paying more because the first work was done with a Big Deal coupon but they are worth it.

The provider worked overtime to complete the project on time...even over the weekend time with no additional cost.

This was follow-up work performed by Jeff following his removal of several layers of old wallpaper, which was performed using an Angie's List Big Deal. Jeff returned to perform the above work, thus finishing the bathroom for us. He arrived on-time and spent all day (approx. 7 hours) performing the work. We are very happy with the results...our bathroom looks like new. He also painted the ceiling, which was not in his estimate, since he felt it would look nicer. It certainly does! He cleaned up nicely. The price for the job was $450, but we added a $50 tip, mostly because he painted the ceiling for no charge.

He did remove the wallpaper just fine. I had purchased an Angie's List deal for 4 hours. I was not sure how much he could get done in 4 hours and I had two rooms that I was hoping to get done. Once he explained the process and looked over the type of paper (from 1971 and weirdly thick) knew it was going to be more of process than I realized. However, once I realized he was definitely only going to get one room done I was hoping it was at least going to be paint ready. He, of course, took exactly 4 hours to get the paper off but there are still some scuff marks and left over glue areas that will have to be smoothed before I can do anything.

We purchased the coupon for four hours of drywall repair and wallpaper removal with the intention to paint once the paper was removed. It turned out that the wallpaper was attached the old-fashioned way (not pre-pasted) and very difficult to remove, so the decision was made to paint over it. Another choice would have been to re-paper the repaired areas. However, please note that this company does wallpaper removal but they do NOT do wallpaper installation. The painting has held up well so far. It was done very neatly with no mistakes or mess. The work ended up taking a full day, so it still cost quite a bit.

Jeff arrived on time, went straight to work, completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up everything and was very courteous.

This all started because i had a Groupon for four hours of wallpaper removal. Jeff came in and removed all of the wallpaper in the four hour time slot and did such a good job that i asked him to quote the painting job for that same room. a large room. also pain 7 doors in that room with contrasting trim color. He sent me a quote via email that same day. I agreed to the terms of the quote and we scheduled the appointment. Painters came in and smoothed out the walls in the master bedroom which had previously been wallpapered so there was glue etc that needed to come off and then got right to painting all walls. They used one color for the trim and another for the walls. I bought the paint myself but Mr. Haley offered to get it for me if I preferred. He was very helpful in advising me about types of paint and where trim colors would be best used. And he was so right. He and his partner arrived, smiling and cheerful, exactly on time that morning and started to work immediately while I worked in my home office. They arrived at 8AM and were completely finished with this large room by 2PM. They were quiet, professional, and cleaned everything up when they left. The room looks amazing and is now my favorite room in the house. I have another room that needs to be done and I will be calling Jeff when I'm ready.

Jeff arrived on time, smiling and professional. I showed him where the work was needing to be done and he started right in. He worked until the whole thing was completed. Wallpaper removal. About four hours, total. He did such a great job, cleaned up, moved the furniture back that he needed to move to get to the wall, and took care with all of our things in the room. I was so pleased with the whole thing that i asked him for a quote to paint the whole room! I am looking forward to working with Haley painting again!

Jeff Haley was on-time and very professional. He worked non-stop for the full four hours and removed all of the old wallpaper. He cleaned up the mess nicely. We look forward to his estimate to finish the walls (drywall repair, seal, sand, and paint).

Mr. Haley and his assistant arrived each day on time and started right to work. They completed the work on time with no problems or complications. Both were friendly and courteous. We were totally satisified with the complete job.

He did an excellent job. I'm very happy with the results.

Our family bought Mr. Haley's services for painting this spring through Angie's List. We were not ready for him in the allotted time, but he was kind enough to accommodate us in spite of a number of delays. We found Jeff Haley to be very professional, neat, and thorough. Both he and an assistant worked nonstop for 7 hrs. and managed to paint both our living room and dining room top to bottom with high quality results. This was a very good value. We were very pleased with his work, trustworthiness, and pleasant manner. We would highly recommend him to friends and the general public. He does excellent work and demonstrates his experience and knowledge through his diligence and the quality of his painting. Jeff recommended some products to us that we used in other outside painting jobs which were great! We enjoyed having him work with us and would not hesitate to call him again. Jeff and his helper arrived on time. We discussed the colors I had selected and honed in on one. While I went to pick up paint, they prepped the room. The ceilings are 15' high and Jeff and his helper did a great job. They were also able to get some of the bathroom painted as well. Overall they were efficient, professional and did a great job.

We took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal with Haley's, who painted our ceilings in the living room and dining room. They had enough time and paint to do the kitchen ceiling too. They checked for nail pops in the walls and ceilings and repaired with "mud" and paint where needed. Jeff Haley also noticed some soot marks near the ceiling and said those were caused by burning candles. He said the soot problem could be alleviated by using a warming plate rather than lighting the candle. Their work was so good and they cleaned up so well that we offered Jeff Haley the opportunity to estimate painting the living room and dining room walls. They got right to work and finished by the middle of the afternoon. There were two men on the job, and Jeff asked only a few questions for clarification purposes. We highly recommend Haleys Painting and would use them again.
