Haley's Painting

The project went pretty well overall. Jeff removed a tissue paper covered with wall paper paste from the bathroom walls by scraping it and then mudding in the imperfections in the wall. He also removed old tiolet paper holder and towel rack and drywalled those areas. The bathroom was then repainted. The scraping created more dust than I was expecting. He cleaned up after the job, but the dust really settled into baseboards and six panel doors. We are happy with the job that was done. The price was good.

Jeff is the company owner and does the painting himself. He is very professional and does great work. He is always punctual, has a positive attitude and is wonderful at his craft. He is a very hard worker and takes pride in his work. Other painting companies seem to hire their workers which can be hit or miss, but with Jeff, he is the one doing the work and I highly recommend him for any painting need.

He did a wonderful job. He was prompt and professional and courteous. He cleaned up after himself and we were very pleased with the work he did.

Total Amateur Hour. Didn't even know you had to wait for caulk to set, which it says right on the bottle, which therefor didn't dry right and he had to redo. Wasn't going to roll it unless I directed him, paint strokes everywhere on these new expensive windows. Brought a helper who had no skill. Could have done a better job myself. AVOID.

Fine. The provider showed up on time and completed the work in a short amount of time. The quality of the painting is flawless.

Jeff did a fantastic job. He was responsive to calls, scheduled our work when we needed to have it done, and was on time. He was very personable. He did an excellent job painting and was extremely efficient. I was impressed with how quickly he was able to get the work done and cleaned up. His price was reasonable. We are in the middle of several major projects in our house, and we appreciated his professionalism and ability to accommodate our project schedule so that we stayed on time for other jobs. It went very well. Jeff's work is professional. We liked him from his first visit to the house. He rapidly provided a reasonable and clear estimate, was responsive, was easy to work with in terms of scheduling and arriving promptly. Besides being an excellent painter, he covered all the work surfaces, was neat, and cleaned up everything before he left.

It went very well. The work was completed in 2 days. Several years ago we hired 2 different people to remove the wall paper in both our bathrooms then paint each bathroom. The walls were damaged from removing the wall paper and needed a lot of repair before they could be painted. Even after all of that, the painted bathrooms don't look as good as the work Mr Haley did. I provided Mr Haley with the paint color and he picked up the paint. All I needed to do was remove all the breakables then put them back when he was done. He took care of everything else.

It was okay. The only thing is they just seemed to work slow. They came at 9 o'clock and left at 3:00 or 4:00. My husband and I both work so I had to take off multiple days of work to get the job done. I thought like if they would have started out at 7:00 and left at 5:00, they could have done it in one day. Other than that, it was pretty good.

Mr. Haley was recommended by a family member, showed up on time (even early per my request!) I was a bit concerned at how fast the job was done, but it looks great, they cleaned up nicely. I had to leave strangers in my house as I had to work, but I felt no hesitation at all with Mr. Haley after reading his reviews and meeting him in person. I'd definitely hire him again, and likely will!

Very nice and responsive. Not perfect

Me and my wife bought a house which closed mid-month. We were trying to close out our lease by the end of the month and had originally set up an appointment to have our walls primed with another company, but the appointment fell through so we had to find another painter quick. The job was a 12x14 bedroom, a 12x5 hallway, and a 15x14 living room that were all painted light colors which needed to be primed in accordance with our lease. We had two estimates done and the one from Haley's was by far the most cost effective. They came out the day after I originally called, and set up a time to paint the day after that. The painter showed up promptly and the job took a little over three hours to complete. We had a great experience all in all.

We have used them twice. They were really good and really nice, easy to work with time, and they did a good job.

They provided the paint. The paint had no VOC so it didn't have much of a smell. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They put all my furniture back. They put drapes between the rooms so I would I have some privacy during the work. They were very good and very polite. I would have no problem hiring them again or referring them to my friends. The only thing is that they are not bonded.

After contacting Jeff regarding the paint job, he came to my home to look at walls and what all job would include. He sent his plaster guy the next day to make sure they would be able to match the textured swirl in my ceilings. He sent me the estimate for the work the next day or so. I got a second estimate, approx $6000, and opted to hire Jeff. His estimate was $1800. Jeff's estimate did not include the fireplace or the trim around windows and doors. That was an additional $190. Jeff was very professional and punctual. I actually left Jeff and his workers in my home during the day while I left for work. I had no issues with any aspect of working with Hanley's Painting. Jeff and his crew did not work on weekends. He started work 7:30 AM and they worked until approx 2PM, which I had a cut off time of 3pm. He started on Monday and finished the following Tuesday. They job could have been completed sooner if I didnt have the 3pm cutoff and they worked on weekends, but as the job has ended, I am very pleased with my walls and ceilings.

I purchased a Big Deal from Haley's painting for $400 for two rooms painted. They contacted me right away, once the deal was purchased (and were actually very responsive prior to purchasing the deal). He even called again the day prior to confirm the appointment. They showed up right on time and didn't take very long to get done at all! Overall incredibly impressed. I will definitely be using them again to paint other rooms of my house.

It went well. Mr. Haley was very punctual and communicated well. They moved my job up on the schedule because of a last minute cancellation, which actually worked better for me. He wasn't sure if they could get it done in one day but they did. This included fixing the poor drywall repairs we had made, primer, and 2 coats of paint. They paid attention to detail and were conscientious about keeping the basement door closed so my cats wouldn't get in the way. They even left the extra paint for me in case we needed to do any touch-ups in the future.

It was fine. They were very punctual and the price was good. They sent 2 people out to do the job. They cleaned up well and the scheduling was good.

Purchased Angie's Deal for two painters for eight hours. They arrived promptly and were very professional, hardworking and personable. They did a great job and we were very pleased with the results. Would hire them again.

While the deal was offered, I bought a $119 deal from Angie's list for up to 4 hrs drywall repair. The deal expired in July 2013.The company did NOT attempt to contact me via phone or email to schedule the appt, and, as a busy professional also taking care of my 87 year old mother and raising 2 children, I have not contacted them either until February 2014. It is my understanding that while the promotion expired, the money paid to that company does not expire i.e. they may charge more to do that exact work that they were going to do for less during the promotion. Since the work I needed to have done was ONLY a repair of the garage's dry wall damage ( 23X30 inches), I thought that they could still do the work at that time for the $119 that I had already paid. After I contacted them they initially scheduled an appt. to do the work but on the scheduled day they refused to show up, do any work or give me a refund. Therefore, I am asking for a refund of what I paid to this company.

Not so good, not horrible but just not so good. I just didn't like the work. I would just give them a 'C'. It was for drywall repair and wall paper removal and I used them for both. It was the first Friday in January. I did not like the quality of the drywall repair and I didn't like that they did not clean up after they were done. I am trying to find a nice way to say that because the guy was a very nice guy, I just didn't feel like I could use them again because of the way they left the room. The people themselves were nice. I wish that they had done a better job but I just contracted with Danny's Pro Painters instead, because of the work they did. I had them before and found them through Angie's List and reused Danny's because this other one just turned out to be poor quality. They had one guy and a helper for four hours. It's eight hours worth of work and it seemed high for what they were able to accomplish in four hours. Tat's probably not a good way to purchase drywall repair and wallpaper removal. It needs to be done by the job, not by the hour. They were fine on punctuality.

He was great. He was really flexible on scheduling and worked with us on timing. We had them remove our wallpaper in a two rooms. We have since extended our relationship and he is currently removing the rest of our wallpaper and doing some other prep work (mudding, sanding, and priming) prior to us having the whole interior of our home painted. We will likely have him quote on the painting as well.

Did a good job, finished ahead of schedule.

They did a great job and were very friendly. I contracted with them for additional work.
