I had an excellent experience! I took a pair of shoes I have had for 5 years into the store because the sole on both of the heels needed replaced and where the elastic met the leather on the side of my right shoe needed to be stitched. I took them on a Thursday afternoon. Originally he told me I would have to pick them up Tuesday afternoon after work (Sunday and Monday they are closed). We were going out of town for the weekend so I wouldn't be available to pick them up on Saturday. Seeing the disappointment in my face, he told me he would squeeze me in Friday so I could pick them up Friday afternoon and have them for the weekend!!!! I was super excited! Sure enough, Friday afternoon I received an e-mail notification that my shoes were ready (what a NEAT feature by the way). I ran over to the mall to pick them up and they looked perfect! He even gave me a complimentary shoe shine! My shoes look GREAT! I will always go here for any shoe repair I have in the future. :) A+!!!!

I found them on Angie's list. They do nice job. It was a good pair shoes after the repair and you will not even know. The employees were very efficient and I was in and out, that's what I liked about them. I dropped the shoes and picked them up a week later and they were available soon. Their price was good and they were on time. I would definitely use them in future.

I brought my black leather purse in to the store and the gentleman at the counter said it could be re-dyed/polished. It was ready in a week. The purse looks brand new and I have been using it. It hasn't faded or become discolored but continues to look deep black, shiny, and in perfect condition. I though 45 dollars seemed pricy, but there are pockets and zippers on the outside of the bag and so I'm sure the process wasn't completely straightforward. And, it really does look like a new bag. It's hard to find people who do this kind of work.

They are nice and courteous. They do a good job and have reasonable prices. They also went above beyond when resoling a pair of my husband's shoes. They could have simply resoled them, but they also polished and refurbished them.

When I noticed I needed the diabetic shoe repaired I looked on Angies List. I was looking for a place where I could wait for the repair as I needed the shoe asap. I saw the Kimmel listings and all of the indicated they were not on time in repairing. I knew they would not be what I wanted. Hakky in Castleton was great. Fixed it asap. Just inside mall by Houlihans. Easy access and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were courteous, competent, fair, and right on time.

Dropped off on Friday, picked up on Monday morning. Repaired and polished to a mirror shine. Great service.

Gino's work was great. My shoes look brand new. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. If I had one request, I wish I could have gotten them back a little more quickly. I took them in on a Thursday and they were ready the following Tuesday - however Gino did mention he's been really busy lately. But the quality of the work is terrific!

I had a pair of old loafers that were in need of 1/2 soles and heels. The person at the counter discussed my options for soles (1/2 or whole, leather or other). The only glitch was that when I went back to pick them up on a Saturday morning, the store was not yet opened (even though it was after 10). I was in a rush and couldn't wait. The next time I tried, they were there. The inconvenience is mostly that I live far away. But there are not that many stores that do good work on shoes, so it is worth going. It's hard to believe how expensive shoe repairs are these days, but I have checked other places and think the prices here are reasonable and to be expected.

The shoes were repaired with precision. They even glued torn leather without an extra charge.

THE MAN IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EVERYONE IN THE STORE HAD POSITIVE COMMENTS. THE SHOE WAS DONE ON THE DAY HE PROMISED.

They did excellent work. The shoes looked like new when they were done. The work was done in a timely manner and they were very professional.

The experience with Hakky shoe repair was very pleasant and the work done was outstanding. The gentleman who waited on me was very nice and told me what he could do for me without costing me a lot of money and not making it worth keeping the shoes. He told me when they would be done and kept his promise. When I picked up the shoes they were in great shape and looked better than when I first bought them. The repair job was outstanding and I couldn't even tell there had been a problem with them. I would recommend Hakky to anyone who is in need of repairing shoes they don't want to throw out.

Gino was very helpful. He put some of the insoles in my shoe and even try walking around them in the mall. He was trying to help me pick one that was quality without me spending too much. If necessary he said he would have glued them in to the shoes right there on the spot, but they stayed in and my back has been feeling a lot better.

Very nice young man. Apparently, with a brother, owns this as a franchise operation. Agreed that half soles would be sufficient and cost about $10 less than full soles. Also polished the shoes. Took about 3 work days.

Excellent as always! They also did an outstanding job dying a pair of shoes to match a friend's dress for me. I recommend them to everyone. The owner is very easy to work with and always tries to please.

THEY WERE EFFICIENT, ECONOMICAL, COURTEOUS.

I guess the jist of it is that I was better off NOT dying my faded suede shoes. The suede looks slick, stiff, and feels icky. I was hoping to get a couple of light gray spots turned back to black. I would have been better of using a magic marker on those spots. I really regret that I listened to the pitch from the Hakky guy that these would ‘look great’.
