Great job. House looks great.

Note: Owner had "Angie's list" form to complete upon job completion. Homeowner completed form and was told that THEY would submit this to Angie's list for a review. That was 3 months ago and Provider has failed to input this response. Quote requested - owner took pictures from road and did not approach the house stating that he thought the house was a rental. Not the case but he did not ask. Nor did he ask us to be present for the quote. Owner was not on site for initial day painting. Midjob, crew left and didn't return Called owner to inquire where painters were and he wasn't sure why they left the job site. A few hours later, he called to state they got tied up on another job and would return the next day. Quote was to include all necessary caulking, loose boards and nail pops. Review of house showed that caulking was poorly done, areas completely missed, wood not repaired, nail pops not done. Garage door had old caulk showing that wasn't repaired, windows had missing caulk. VERY poor prep. A list was made & reviewed each area of concern to repair / repaint / fix. Since this is their profession, didn't feel we should have to point out each and every step of caulking & prep work. We were told by the painters that if it was prepped / painted before (or not), they didn't change it but matched what was done previously. Painters ran out of paint and had to go get more during job. Owner arrived on site towards the end of day. Reviewed each area of concern with him. Items noted were touched up, caulk fixed and in some spots, he asked them to repaint them before they left. The color selected for front door was NOT exact color match as requested but "close to what you wanted" in Navy Blue. It wasn't that far off so we let it go. We were told that we would have "plenty" of touch up paint incase we noted any other missed areas. We were left with a good portion of the front door paint but the exterior paint, we had just about 1" of paint in a gallon bucket. After the painters left the job site, were inspecting the left touch up paint. Little did I know until later that night when I looked at the color that it was a SAMPLE paint (interior) from Sherwin Williams. I called Sherwin Williams to confirm that samples are NOT exterior paint and should NOT have been used on a front door. This was confirmed by Sherwin Williams. In addition, our garage door did not have a 2nd coat applied and you could still see the original garage door color thru the paint. It appeared to have stripes on it. Calls were then made to the owner to correct this immediately. When this was noticed, we walked the entire project again looking for any other missed paint spots & areas of concern. Since we had issues with the job so far, we needed to ensure it was completed. Painters arrived to correct the front door paint, repaint the garage, and touch up noted missed spots (using up all the left paint). The started to paint the front door but noticed immediately the paint color was WAY off. It was a royal blue vs the navy blue used before. Painter had to go to the store again to exchange out the paint before returning to paint the door. They still forgot to paint the metal above the doors / windows and the side trim. It was a stressful process after the first day because we felt that we had to watch to ensure things were completed. For consumer, we expect the professionals to know what is needed for prep work, how much paint is required, ensure the paint is covering the surfaces, ensure the RIGHT paint type and color is used. Unfortunately, this job didn't start off that way. It ended up corrected but not without a lot of owner hands on.

Ron of Guy Painting responded and provided us with a quote for the work very quickly. His quote was very detailed and well prepared. After getting several quotes we selected Guy Painting to do the work on our home. Ron's bid was not the cheapest we received but we felt that Guy Painting was going to do what we needed and get it done the way we wanted. Window repair took about three days and the painting another 3 days. Painting crew was very friendly and they did a great job. No smudges or blobs of paint where they shouldn't be. They also cleaned up after themselves at the conclusion of each day. The only negative during the project was that we didn't feel I always knew when the crew was going to arrive. I understand that they have several projects that are going on simultaneously and that could affect both the day and time when they were going to be on site. I would suggest a simple phone call alerting the customer to a change is all that is needed. Overall we are happy with the work and will definitely consider using them again for our painting needs.

Guy painted the exterior of our home.....THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. The color and workmanship was well worth the price.....which by the way was in line with other estimates. We are extremely pleased and would recommend GUY PAINTING to others in a heartbeat.

I was impressed with owner Ron Jones from the minute I met him. I had attempted to contact the company through Angie's List and gave my email address. Ron sent a reply, but I didn't get it. When he didn't hear back, he just stop by the house to give an estimate. He was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I gathered several estimates, and his was very close to the lowest with the pre-season discount. My gut said to choose Guy Painting and I'm glad I did. Ron originally told me to expect painting in June. I was pleasantly surprised to hear from him in mid-May. The crew was excellent at calling to confirm when work would be started including changes for weather delays. The crew began work early and worked late. They were hard-working, quiet, polite, and respectful. Neighbors even commented that they couldn't believe how quickly and quietly it had gotten done. Ron himself came to do a walk through before I had even had a chance to do so. He walked me around and showed me what needed to be touched up so I could nit pick and find anything else with a more trained eye. Every single person I came into contact with was great. We also had our deck and pergola stained. It was the first time it was stained and it is a BIG deck. After the first coat, I questioned whether it was enough. Ron immediately said it wasn't, even though the estimate was for only 1 coat, and had his crew put another coat on it without charge. I honestly couldn't be happier with the results and with Guy Painting. It's like a whole new house!!

Ron was not the lowest cost provider, but was still very competitive. I talked to five painters, and his price was dead in the middle. The highest priced company was ridiculous....perhaps they did not want the job. Ron was terrific. The rain offered some challenges and delays but that was not their fault. The painting crew was always respectful, cleaned up every day, and took pride and care in the work. OUTSTANDING JOB!

Working with Guy Painting was great! Guy Painting came out to our house and provided a free estimate on the work that we were wanting done and provided great examples of the work they have done. Then coordinated a time that worked with us to have the work performed. From start to finish - working with Guy Painting on this project was excellent.

They came and scraped it down, primmed the trim and put a finishing coat on the trim. They did a good job. They missed one spot so I called them back and they came out the next day at no extra charge to go over the spot.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The schedule was delayed a couple of times primarily due to the wet whether around the time. While communication and responsiveness were all good with the Guy's painting, I did experience some difficulties with one of the sub contractors. In the end, it all worked out and job was done before the real winter was here..

They were prompt and provided great communication. They did a final walk through with me to make sure that I was satisfied.

Overall they did a great job on the exterior of my home.

The availability was very very good. I called multiple companies and this company came out right away. They weren't the cheapest, but the service was much better compared to the other calls I had made.

They did an excellent job. They are clean and speedy. The salesman was good too.

It was excellent customer service. Ron Jones was tottally on it as the representative/sales person. He always returned our phone calls, and he came right out. It took other companies days to respond to us. Overall, it was a great experience, and there was never loss of communication. I would reccommend no one else!

Everything went great, they were very prompt, courteous and efficient, The did an amazing job, we would use them again and recommend them to all of our friends.

Mr. Jones was very courteous, punctual, professional and friendly. His employees did excellent work, friendly and will be contacting him in the near future for some interior work. They were extremely clean throughout the process and cleaned up after job was finished. This is my first time using this Angie's List and I joined just for fact that I was compelled to do so becasue I was so pleased with the companies work.

My overall experience with Ron was FANTASTIC! His crew was friendly and very thorough. I was impressed with the attention to detail and follow through. The whole process went smoothly! Ron was on-site daily and communicated the status of the project. I thought they did a great job and would recommend Guy Painting to anyone.

They did an amazing job painting. They were respectful, on time, and did not leave a mess. My house looks amazing. It took them 2 days to finish the project. They put down drop clothes before they started painting. They did some drywall repair and sanding around a window. The painting consisted of all the interior walls and majority of the trim work. Ron answered the phone on the first phone call and came out a few times, providing me with a free quote. I contacted him in August, but I chose to wait to have the job done in September.

When we decided to get the outside of our house painted we met with 4 different companies and Ron (his name is actually Ron, not Guy!) gave us a very good feeling and first impression. His quote was competitive with the other's but I would say that the first main reason why we decided to good with him is that it "felt right". And God were we right!!! His crew was extremely professional, Ron himself has been very helpful throughout the color decision process (I changed the color for our front door three times and never did he made me feel like I was annoying with my multiple changes of mind!) and the final result is just perfect! Guy Painting is a company we will for sure do business with for our next major painting project!

It was wonderful. I went very smoothly. He was very personable, very professional, friendly and attentive. He was also responsive and easy to contact.

They did a fabulous job. Ron, the owner, was very thorough in making sure the job was set up right. There may have been a little miscommunication with one of his managers who was setting up things but once I talked to Ron he took care of it all. There was not an issue after that. They cleaned up their work and I was pretty happy with the work. For painters, they were very professional and respectful. I have 5 kids and they made sure they did not bother them during nap time. They always called if they were going to run late.

Ron came out and gave us the estimate. VERY nice guy (and also a big Notre Dame fan) which was a definite plus in my husbands book. There was no pressure for the sale at all. After signing the proposal and picking colors, Ron offered to have the painting done on July 4th, which I thought was very nice. The guys who came to do the work were great as well. Very funny and efficent workers. They did excellent work overall. I would recommend them to anyone and defiantly use this company again.

Originally, got a flyer in the mail from Guy Painting, offering a 10% discount. Contacted Ron Jones, the owner, and he came out to do an estimate. Work was scheduled to occur roughly 10 days from the estimate. His crew came out on the first day and power blasted the exterior in the evening. The next day the crew arrived early in the morning to complete the job. They replaced a piece of rotting wood in my screened-in porch. The crew almost forgot to do it until I mentioned it, but I caught it in time and it was no big deal. They finished late that day and it looked great. The painting they did was top-notch, and the crew was friendly. I'll use them again in the future.

Well. Overall process took longer than expected but quality was good and price competitive.

Excellent crew! Very efficient and finished quickly with quality work! Have recommend to two friends already.
