Guy Painting is fantastic from start to finish! From the initial phone conversation with Ron Jones, to the follow-up visits from Alltus, who explained everything so well, we felt confident that we would be in good hands when it came to the actual painting. We were right! Michael, the project manager, was so responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable; he visited our home everyday to make sure everything was on track. Then, when we considered having more trim painted beyond the original quote, Michael and Alltus worked quickly together to respond with a very reasonable quote that would include the additional trim. Had they not been so responsive, we may have missed the opportunity to do the additional trim before the walls had already been painted. The painting crew, Jose, Velma, and Gene, were also terrific! They were so friendly, accomodating, methodical, and extremely attentive to detail. I cannot say enough about Guy Painting and the entire team, from the initial sales team to the finished product. They will definitely be painting for us again in the near future :) They?re the best!

They have been doing their follow ups too. They were very responsive. They do follow up with us regularly to stay in touch with us and even to extend the quote they made. They have been very responsive. I did not actually talk to the person who came and made the quote, but they have a person who follows and he has been very professional, very friendly, very fair and very responsive. We have been in regular contact through e-mail.

We had weather problems that caused a delay but overall a very positive experience and a really great painting team! Couldn't have been nice or more professional.

The contractor called the day prior to the carpenter's work on the exterior. Carpenter said that work would start o 4/17, but actually did the work on 4/18 which was Good Friday. I was off work on 4/18 and would not have scheduled work to be done on that day if I had known when the work was planned. I tried to ask the painter what the plan was for actually painting the exterior, but could not understand him. The painter was out on 4/21 to caulk and prep the exterior. He left several buckets in the back yard that filled with water when it rained. If I had known that was the plan, I would have asked that the buckets be moved to another area so my dogs could not drink the water in the buckets. I didn't realize the buckets were left until the next day. I tried to contact Ron Jones by e-mail on 4/21 and by phone on 4/22. No response to either contact. Poor communication overall. The actual painting was well done, but I would not use or recommend this contractor due to the poor communication.

I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the painting. We'd recently purchased a house that looked like it'd not be painted in quite some time (paint was literally flaking off into the yard). We had a solid color with an accent and it looks amazing. They really took their time to scrape and prime properly, so I hope to not have to paint again for a while. There were a few communication issues, one of which led to the house being power-washed and then left bare as we went on a three week vacation. I would highly recommend email as the best form of communication. The final cost, due to the amount of replaced wood, was double the initial quote. I doubt this is an issue with most painting jobs and five out of the six companies I asked for estimates gave similar prices (only one correctly estimated the amount of wood needing replaced), but it might be good to keep in mind if your exterior is also in poor condition. I think the most positive aspect of working with Guy Painting was that any issue I had was quickly resolved. I'll admit to being a bit picky and the few times I found something not to my expectation there was a plan in place to resolve it immediately after I brought it to Ron's attention. Update: We found a few issues after several months (found one of the windows painted shut and missing calking on the chimney). They scheduled someone to come out and fixed the issues we had. When my wife was asked to open other windows to make sure they'd not also been painted shut, some of the weather stripping stuck to the paint and the stripping came off. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND and came back and replaced the weather stripping! I really can't recommend them enough!

The experience was great. The owner, Ron Jones, tested paint colors with me until I found the colors I wanted. His painters then went to work power washing my house, caulking where needed and then painted the exterior of my house. Ron Jones even repaired my shutters before they were painted. The painters were very friendly, punctual and even stopped by on a rainy day to tell me they wouldn't be painting that day. I will use them again for interior painting.

Ron Jones and his crew were amazing; the attention to detail was unlike any previous painting experience. The foreman, "Hector," was fantastic and extremely professional. The crew worked 12-15 hours daily, completing the job 5-days. The work was impeccable...I would highly recommend "Guy Painting" for your home or business. Outstanding group of very hard workers!

Quoted price and then house was power washed. One week later, they called to schedule the days to paint.

We were pleased with the professionalism of the original visit to provide the estimate. Initially encouraged that the work could be started prior to the initial 3-4 week estimate, we were very disappointed in the communication and punctuality of Guy Painting. Here is a list of the details: - carpenter didn't call when he said he would - carpenter then didn't show up on a day he said he would which required me to miss an extra morning of work and didn't call to give a reason for not showing - carpentry work eventually completed and we were pleased - told by project manager that painter would do interior painting on a certain day but when they arrived they were unprepared to paint so clearly the project manager and painter hadn't communicated about what work would be done at that time - this required me missing another half-day of work - was told they would start the interior work at 9am on the different day so I took off a half day off work but painter didn't show until 11:15 citing 'traffic' as the cause for his delay - when the painter finally didn't arrive he hadn't purchased or brought any of the paint as was the expectation since all paint colors were sent via email (both project manager and painter) 2 days prior to job - Therefore, he had to leave to get paint which took another hour; paint job not started until after 12 and not completed until 4pm which required me to cancel another half-day of work - I contacted the project manager in the morning to express my disappointment, he actually came to the house to apologize which was appreciated. However, he also told me he would talk to his supervisor to see if they could do anything 'to make this right'- I believe meaning a price reduction, but I never heard back. In the end the work was completed and we are mostly pleased with the quality of the paint job, but every step was a huge hassle for this full-time working family. I had to unnecessarily miss a day and a half of work because of the workers didn't show up when they said they would and were unprepared even when they did show. I would recommend Guy Painting coordinates all the phone calls and scheduling instead of the sub-contractors to streamline the process and make the sub-contractors more accountable. ****Update: The day my review was posted I received a call from Ron (owner) who apologized for the poor experience outlined above. He assured me this is not typical of Guy Painting and notified me that he had made some changes in personnel at his company as a result of this (and a few other recent situations). Ron had some additional interior work completed by his company at no charge and that experience was extremely professional and well-orchestrated. Michael, the interior painter, communicated well and did an outstanding job with repairing drywall and painting. He and his assistant were courteous, punctual, and prepared for the job. If I knew with certainty I'd have Michael again I would use Guy Painting in the future. ****

Workers showed up on time and were very courteous and properly dressed. Carpentry was done well. Pressure washed exterior and scraped as needed. Finished on time with excellent results. We would recommend this company to anyone. Management did not follow up on the work to see if we were satisfied. Initial inspector missed several places where repairs were needed and did not respond promptly to my questions about this. These are minor problems that the contractor said he would rectify on future jobs.

The painting was done well but the contractors were not responsive and not thorough.
