1/4 " gap between wall counter in some spaces. dent in sink. Waiting to have splash guard done so poor application is disguised. It has been five months since original contact with this company. Should be completed by now. I feel I should get a reduction in price and a free backsplash.

Job looks very unprofessional. Waiting on them to come back and correct issues; but I am still expected to pay. They give me limited choice of days they are available. Will be over 6 months before job is finished. Gaps between counter and wall. I want to get my kitchen back together!! Feel like a partial Refund is in order.

First I'd like to point out the positives with Granite Transformations. All there staff is very friendly and conduct themselves in a professional manner. When challenges arose the installer, whom I had the most dealings with, seemed genuinely apologetic. I met with a salesperson on 4/15/2016, and after negotiations agreed on a price. For anyone whom is looking to get an estimate from Granite Transformations be prepared to negotiate. Also, they play the "If you don't sign today we can't guarantee the price" game, not even 24 hours to think it over. What I liked about the company was it did not require much demo, I had to remove my sink, they said it would take two visits to complete the work, one to create a template and one to install, and my salesperson said there was NOTHING that could change the price we agreed upon, even when pointed out some areas that could be challenging. The sales person's response was their installers were professionals and had seen it all. There would be no problems. I guess I was naive to belief that. I also have friends whom had used Granite Transformations and had a good experience. The first visit was scheduled a little over a month from when I signed the contract, late May. The associate arrived on time and got his measurements in a couple of hours. The installation of the counter top and sink was then scheduled for 6/10/2016. On the day of installation the associate arrived on time, started working and after about 3 hours of work told me there was a problem. He said my counter tops weren't level enough to put the new glass counter tops on. I was a little confused why they couldn't have figured that out, first when the salesperson came to look at the counter tops, or secondly when they measured for the template. The associate talked to his boss and the only solution was removing my counter top and building a new one to place the glass counter tops on. They said this wasn't factored into the price and it would be an extra $200-$300. Despite what the salesperson had told me about NOTHING could change my price I was/am very understanding about how difficult jobs can be in my house, the house is almost 100 years old, so I said it was ok. The associate did not have the materials needed so we had to reschedule the installation for 6/27/2016. On 6/27/2016 the associate returned and began to demo, rebuild, and install the glass counter tops. When he got to the sink he realized the sink that I choose, Granite Transformations gave me two choices that would work, actually would not fit. So now this is the third time someone has seen my counter tops/sink, salesperson, first associate that took measurements for the template, and the installer, and none of them really bothered to make sure they could actually do what they said they were going to do. They didn't have a sink that would fit in stock so had to order one. Someone would get in touch with me when they were ready to finish installation. Two weeks went by and I had not heard anything so I emailed the scheduler on 7/14/2016 to find out when they could finish. Keep in mind two days before the final install was supposed to be completed, 6/10/2016, I removed my sink per Granite Transformation's requirements. I received an email back the same day indicating they would be available to finish on 7/25/2016. That's about 7 weeks without a kitchen sink. On 7/25/2016 the installer returned and finished the job. The end product looks good, but is not perfect. There is one seam that is very noticeable. The installer said it's the best they could do with how old my counter tops were. When payment came due I was optimistic that given the time frame it took because of, in my opinion, oversights by Granite Transformations I would only be charged the balance on the original $5000 in my contract. This was not the case and the final total was $5,300. If I had to do this all over again I would not use Granite Transformations.

I saw them in their showroom, and asked for an appt., they said someone would be out June 16th and there was a no show. They called and said someone would be out on 6/18/16. Today they called to cancel and reschedule for next week. When I asked them to confirm as this not the first cancellation, they told me they could not guarantee someone would be here, and that they think there would be an hour or 2 hour delay. I think this is important to know if you are taking off of work. Their customer service is really strange, you would think that they would

We liked the in home presentation. Seeing the product in our kitchen really helped in making g our selection of counter top. The installer was very professional and arrived on time. The only thing we had a problem with was the time it took for the company to contact us about the time they would come out for measurements. After not hearing anything for over 4 week, we had to call to see when the would be out.

Both times the sales person showed up on time. And both times, the attempted to pressure me into making an immediate decision and signing a contract. When you choose to not sign a contract right then and there, they become irritated and leave abruptly. However, I really liked the product so when I received an email from Mr. DeWitt about best pricing of the season so I called to see what the price would be now. I was told I would need to speak to a sales person again; however, she never called me so I sent her an email to which she basically replied why do you want to do this now, we have been out there twice already. I replied with my reasons as to why now was a good time for this project and again no response. So I contacted Mr. DeWitt and the district manager for this area. I was basically made to feel as though I had to earn the privilege of their product when I spoke with the district manager whom was supposed to be looking into the file and getting back with me, which of course never happened. If you want a high pressure, overpriced, rude company than this is it. Otherwise, find a more reputable company that understands the need to not only shop around but also to treat potential customers with respect.

In order to even schedule an appointment, I had to jump through hoops and speak to several different people because the company wants all decision makers in the home available for the appointment. My husband works quite a bit and this is near impossible not to mention he really does not care what is done so long as I am happy with it so why the company thought they needed to have this policy and give me such a hard time about making an appointment is beyond me. Once we got the appointment scheduled, a saleslady came out who was very nice and friendly and explained all about the company and its product. However, once she measured the table and showed me the samples and told me the price, this all changed. I told her that $2000 was more than I was looking to spend on this project especially since I had seen numerous other granite companies with flyers for granite for $39/sf (theirs was coming in at approximately $55/sf) and she became very rude and short stating she did not know what I was expecting and their product is better which is why it cost more and then left. I do understand that their product is different than 100% granite but I also understand that there is less waste with their product so I find it hard to swallow such a big price difference and then to add rudeness to the situation only makes things worse.

We were advised as to an exact instillation date both verbally and by e-mail. Their instillation techs Chris and Jay arrived on time with all materials to complete the job. Our home is a converted barn with some portions completed prior to 1900. As a result any structure of this age presents some interesting instillation issues of anything. Chris and Jay were both knowledgeable and professional. As a result they were able to complete the project as per estimate and overcame any minimal instillation problems. They cleaned up any mess that was made, provided us with care instructions plus contact numbers and names should any unknown problems arise. The finished project exceeded our expectations.
Description of Work: We selected Granite Trans. from reading some of their lititaure and from Angies List. We went to their show room and inspected some of their mock ups and materials. After reviewing the exhibits we decided to continue. Their salesperson Cathy, called within a day or do, made an appointment and arrived at the designated time. After seeing the materials in our home we decided to proceed we signed a contract and were given several approximate dates when they would measure the site, develop a template and install the completed units. They kept us informed as to progress and with follow ups during the entire process. All work was preformed either on the promised date or before.

They came out with the sample material so I could see it in the kitchen. It is amazing how different the products look with the lighting and other materials in your room. They set up the time and showed up promptly to take measurements and then for the installation. The did our whole kitchen in one day. My only complaint was that the day they were here it was raining. They did the trim cutting in the garage which created a LOT of dust. If I would have known that I would have tried to figure some other way for them to cut the pieces on a porch, etc. But there was no mess in the kitchen - no moving everything out of cupboards, drawers, etc. The price is comparable to a medium priced granite or quartz installation. But in our case we would have had some major remodeling to make it happen. And the installation was easy. And the product is very easy to care for.
Description of Work: We were looking to replace our countertops with granite or quartz. However the island in our kitchen had a large overhang that wouldn't support the weight of the full stone slab. Granite Transformations came in and laid their composite stone over the countertops. The installation went very smoothly and it looks great.

The manager that visited our house started out very friendly and explained the work that would be done in our kitchen. She started to give us a quote, but then asked us our budget. She then told us a price that was just over our budget. She continued "crunching numbers" and told us if we signed immediately, she would be able to drop the price by $1,000. This was the first company that we met with for a quote, so we didn't have anything to compare the quote to. She showed us a book with pictures of door styles and colors that we could choose from. She also let us know which styles would be in our price range. We let her know that we were not comfortable signing today and that we would get back with her at a later date. She then let us know that her offer was only good for today, but we had 30 days to use the offer that was $1,000 more expensive. After 30 days, she couldn't guarantee how much it would cost. We told her that we would at least like to think about it for the day and to do some research, we were concerned about installing doors that were not solid wood and she only offers the thermofoil doors. She seemed very put off that we would not sign right away and let us know that our kitchen was in desperate need of repair and that we really needed to make a quick decision. After leaving, she called me back about 45 minutes later and said she had spoken with her boss. He was willing to come down another $1,000 if we signed immediately because she explained to him that we were a "young couple without a lot of money who desperately needed their kitchen redone." I asked her if we could talk it over and call her back, but she insisted that I put her on hold or call her back immediately. We called back and said yes, so she said she would come back to our house for us to sign the contract. After getting off the phone with her we talked it over and spoke to some family members who are familiar with contractors. We decided it was not in our best interest to be pressured into something without fully doing our research, so we called her back. We apologized for being indecisive, but asked if we could just have more time to think about it. She said we could sign the contract, which would still allow us 2 business days to change our minds. That wasn't quite enough time for us, so we decided against signing the contract. She let us know that she was the general manager and it is not convenient for her to make multiple house calls in one day as she was on her way back to our house. She assured us that we would not find a better price and that we should not wait any longer to get the work done. Despite her pressure, we stuck to our guns and told her no. She basically let us know that we would regret our decision and call her back to get the work started, but the price would go up. We talked to several other companies for quotes and NO ONE was high pressure or pushy like this company. We would never use this company for that simple fact and I'm quite appalled at the way we were treated. This is our first home and we are a younger couple, but making us feel bad about our budget and trying to force us into low quality, high pressure work is disgusting. Our first home improvement project was something we wanted to be educated on instead of rushing into the first good deal we came across. I will admit that the quotes were below the other companies quotes, but I would rather pay for high quality wood and friendly service, than get a deal on low quality products and TERRIBLE customer service.

It was very expensive. It was several thousand dollars, probably between $7,000 to $8,000. It was okay. Our frustration was in that we didn't think they had enough people working for them in installation so they can't correct things very quickly. We used their sink and we don't think they have installed them before because we had to have them out, then plumbers out and then them again so it went back and forth for about 3 weeks. The people are nice enough and the quality of the product is pretty decent. When we would call, they would say they only had one person and he was scheduled for a ton of installations so he couldn't come to do the work we needed. My husband actually sealed one of the places to get it done. It wasn't a big deal but when you spend that kind of money you expect more. The countertops are really nice. The installation problem was kind of problematic. They don't do the plumbing part so we were playing tag team with another person for stuff they didn't do so it kind of got a little bit crazy. It was pricey. They say that it was less expensive than granite but it was still high. The people were very nice and conscientious when they got here but it was hard getting them here. They did not have the experience with the sink. They are really nice people but they were overworked. They were concerned about the work but couldn't do anything about it because they were all scheduled with installs and they weren't sure when they could get somebody out. One time they didn't show up at all but they did call. but we had already set up our time for them. They were very professional and very interested in helping the customer.

[removed member name], First, I'm glad you that you are overall happy with the company and the product. I'm sure the Nero Galaxy looks great in your kitchen. Second, I do want to take a moment to clarify that the price you mentioned was higher than what you were charged.... and the price was for a kitchen and a bathroom and two sinks, it wasn't just the kitchen. When you factor that into the price, I think it is much more within a reasonable range. I know your comments were taken from a phone interview with an Angie's List representative who was asking for details on-the-spot and your response was probably an on-the-spot estimation. I only wanted to clarify since your comments are made public. I thank you for your business and hope to hear from you again on your next project. Greg DeWitt - owner

Cathy arrived right on time and spent over an hour answering a myriad of questions, including calling the home office for confirmation regarding one particularly technical question I had. She quoted a very good price and was extremely flexible and patient. Unfortunately, a personal crisis arose preventing me from initiating the work. I look forward to being to work with Cathy again in the future

They were just wonderful! They came out and took measurements and figured how much granite I would use and provided a price. They then came back out and measured again and 4-5 weeks later they brought the pieces in and placed them over top of my old countertops and didn't make any mess at all! Everyone I dealt with were very informative and very friendly. I would highly recommend them!
