GLOVER'S TREE SERVICE

Went well. They cleaned up and did work as agreed.

They took down three trees. I was pleased. They were medium size trees. They did some grinding but it wasn't done deep enough. They were quick and fast. I was going to have the trees trimmed but on three different quotes just to get trees trimmed it was $1200 to $1500 so I'll take them down for $800. I wouldn't give them an "A" cause they didn't grind the tree but they were in and out of here in no time. In a matter of an hour and a half. It wasn't even two hours. I just don't think they grind the stumps down. They should have but maybe they didn't know. I don't know. They had all the equipment and they had gobs of men. They were in and out in no time.

They provided a quote a day or two before they did the work.

Professional and responsive. I had a recommendation from a lot of people.

I called them on Monday afternoon. They were here at 5 PM to give an estimate, and they were here the next morning at 7 AM and did a great job.

They showed up on time and went above and beyond doing a very good job.

they provided additional information we requested (verification of insurance). They worked quickly and did a good job cleaning up afterward.

They did an excellent job, and were reasonable.

Very smoothly! Monty came to look at the tree and give us an estimate the day after we phoned him even though it was Sunday afternoon and almost time for basketball games to start. The following day he showed up with his crew right on time and got to work. Our next-door neighbor also had a very old, huge tree that had died so they were taking that one down also. At one time there were 12 men working quickly and efficiently. It was interesting to watch how well they coordinated their efforts. They were all finished in one afternoon! We have quite a few aging trees on our property so we probably will be having Glover's back here for future work.

It went well. Monty and his crew of 10 arrived on time and within 3 hours everything was finished and cleaned up. They were really well organized, friendly and professional.

I went outside to tell the owner that I was not asked permission to use my driveway. And before I could finish the sentence out about having to work today, he started yelling at me. So, I in turned went to my neighbor, who also is my landlord cousin, he came down as well and asked them and they also have not moved. I would have been fine if they made an arrangement with me. I even called them thru the number on their truck and the lady on the phone from the office was also rude to me. Very unprofessional. I don't understand how he built this company if this is how he talks to people. No professionalism at all. They got my driveway blocked!

They did a wonderful job! Clean up and everything they did was fantastic. I had them drop it for me, and then I did the rest of it. I cut it down to smaller sizes and donated it to some people who desperately needed heat. They did most of it, though. Those guys were pros. They didn't drop it on anything, or crush anything underneath it, and the clean-up was excellent. They know what they're doing.

Monty was very responsive and returned calls and emails in a very timely manner. His crew arrived at the scheduled time, removed the large maple tree and stump and thoroughly cleaned up.

I recieved a coupon in the Mailbag mailing Glover's Tree Service and after checking Angie's List about the company I called to get an estimate for trimming some tree limbs at are laying on my roof and getting into the gutters. I called the number on the coupon and left messages on two separate occasions but got no response. I then called a different number that was shown on the Angie's List entry and left another message. Mr. Glover returned my call later that day. We schedule to meet between 4 pm and 7 pm the next day. I left work early the next day to make sure I was home when Mr. Glover arrived. He never arrived and I have not recieved any communication regarding the job.

Mr. Glover and his crew are amazing. They cut down and removed two bald cypresses (70 to 80 feet tall and about 3 1/2 to 4 foot diameter), one large maple tree, and topped a river birch. They came in the morning and were finished in the early afternoon. I considered this to be a hard job because of the largeness of the trees and the fact that all the trees were surrounded by gardens; they did minimal damage to the gardens. They did a complete cleanup. The cost was fair and reasonable and there was no nonsense in the quoting or about what needed to be done. I would recommend Mr. Glover to anyone in need of tree service.

We were very happy with the work. The large tree that needed to be removed was between our house and garage. We knew it would be very difficult to remove. The men did an awesome job keeping botht structures safe. We had a several quotes on the removal but Monty seemed more professional he let us know in detail what needed to be done and what the cost would be...no surprises. Others said the price could go up if they ran into problems or if we wanted the bigger logs removed. He was great, no added charges. They cleaned up great too.

Monty used excellent judgement in shaping the tree. It is the best it has ever looked after trimming. Service was excellent. All trimmings cleaned up and shredded.

Monty came out immediately and the nest was gone. I have used his services for decades for any tree services I have needed. Monty is excellent to work with and a great guy.

He was slow to return my initial phone call but once he arrived with his crew they worked efficiently The job required more than one day. They came back after a few days and continued the job. One final tree needed to be cut off. I made it clear I would not be sending a check until the final tree was cut and I received a written bill. The price was very reasonable and Monty does have excellent knowledge.

Went very well. They did everything they said they were going to do and did it well.

They were friendly and professional. The tree looks great! They were so quick and quiet that I didn't even know they were here.

Workman arrived on Tuesday evening - I called on Monday - and in 2 hours had limb done, cut up, and yard cleaned up. While in the tree he cleaned up some smaller dead branches and made sure all the obvious broken limbs from the storm were cut out. Workman was polite, worked hard, knew what he was doing and met the standards that I expected. I have used this company before and would use again. I highly recommend them for the work they do and the rates they charge.

The owner is Monty Glover. This is the third time I've used them this year because I have a lot of trees. They're very efficient and I feel like he comes promptly just to look it over and see what is needed and to give you a price. When I called him he came within the few days of my call to give me an evaluation. This was couple weeks ago. So I said, "This ins't an emergency. You can come whenever just put me on your list." He doesn't have to call ahead because it's all outdoor work. The last time he took a tree out for me I wasn't even at home. He did an excellent job and cleaned up everything; perfect. So I didn't have any problem with him coming even if i wasn't here. He came with a whole crew and I bet it didn't take them an hour. They had to climb up into the trees, I had about 3 trees that required that because the dead limbs were high and they got rid of everything that was dangerous. Then they trimmed my ornamental tree really nicely and got limbs off my roof. I thought they did a really good job. They were professional, friendly, they came, did their job and then they left. He was nice. That's how he is as far as I can tell with the 3 ties I've used him this year. His price is very reasonable. He gave me an estimate that was $300 but when he came here I some other things for him to do so I anticipated that I would have to pay a little more so I thought his price was reasonable.

He is rude and he uses foul language. He is all-in-all nasty person. And the neighbor feels the same way. I would never use this man; I would never recommend him to anyone. And when we were quoted a job for a certain amount, he overcharged. He started it and then he said, well, this is going to be $400, and we were quoted $250. And at the time it needed to be done, which was grinding stumps. And he has been this way twice. He cut down some trees here a number of years ago, maybe six years ago, and he came back to grind the stump and he hit the cable for the cable TV, which was no big deal, but he cussed me up one side and down the other and I said, that's not an issue, Insight will come an fix the cable. And he was just rude and verbally nasty. So, he took his machine and left and then he came back the next day and came to my door and said, I want to be paid. And I thought my husband had already paid him because I was out of town. So, I called my husband to find out how much was due to him and he told me and I wrote a check and he snatched it from my hand and he turned around and left. And there was no reason for him to be this way. Well, he used to cut down trees and grind stumps for real cheap price, and that's why everybody used him. And now that people were using him, he raises his prices without telling you and he is nasty. I mean, he is not pleasant at all and there's no reason for it.

I called to request an estimate and was told I would be contacted by Monty to schedule the estimate. I never received a call and Monty just showed up in the middle of dinner. His price was fair and in line with other quotes I received. I called and left a message requesting someone contact me to schedule the job. No one called. I eventually called back and got the job scheduled for 5/31. On 5/30 I called and specifically asked if the predicted rain that was coming would effect the job. I was told it would not and the job would be started at 8am the next morning. At 11am, after no one showed up, I called to inquire about what was going on and was told because of the rain I would need to reschedule. This is a problem as I took time off work to get this done. After asking about evening and/or weekend services so that I wouldn't have to miss more work she said they wouldn't make an exception and I would need to work within their schedule. I then said "d***" and apparently offended the lady because she hung up on me because she didn't have to "listen to that language" I can understand not being able to work in the rain and that is exactly why I called yesterday to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. They may do good work with a fair price but their customer service is atrocious. I'd rather spend more money than deal with these folks again.
