Garage Doors of Indianapolis

Very good. They installed the door new approximately two years ago. This was just a checkup. They greased, tightened and replaced as needed. Great experience.

They did a good job for the most part. Service time and speed of work was good in my opinion. Larry in sales is nice and helpful. Installer was nice and professional. Price was about 200 more than others. Yet they could get it done when I needed and accepted credit card. I was disappointed that the area was not cleaned up well enough for me. I came home and had to sweep up a bunch of door shavings from the driveway. Even after sweeping in the dark there were still some there. So I understand they are hard to clean up. Yet I feel they could have done a better job. Secondly, the door controls seem to be a bit weak. Larry gave us some advice on how to improve the range yet still have to be in the drive to open (better than nearly touching as was initially).

When I called the company, the phone was answered promptly, and service was provided in a friendly and efficient manner. An appointment was made for the following day, just a few days before Christmas. I was called that morning with a time estimate. Although the repairman arrived a couple of hours after the outside estimated time (it was his 8th repair for the day, and he had 5 more to go), he more than made up for it by his efficiency. The repair was completed in 20 minutes. There was no pressure to pay for more than needed to be done. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Ryan, the sales representative, was prompt and courteous. The company phoned ahead to confirm the time the installer would arrive. He did a great job - removed the old garage door and old tracks, installed a much heavier, better fitting door, and also installed a new garage door opener that we had already purchased. All work was promptly completed and there was not a trace of debris left behind. A very good experience with this company!

They did a good job. The things I liked: 1. Good price. 2. Their salesman did a good job explaining options especially gutter cover products which might work well with out heavy leaf and pine needles. 3. They got the job done in 1 day. 4. The new gutters look good and are draining very well. There were a few problems: 1. They told me when I signed the contract they were running about 6 weeks out. It was 13 weeks until they did the job. 2. After 6 weeks passed, I had to call them every week to get an update on when they might come. 3. They made a huge mess in the yard. In removing the old gutters, the contents were dumped in the grass, bushes, and flowerbeds, including roofing nails, old gutter spikes they cut and much more. In putting up the new gutters, they left sharp aluminum scraps, shavings, and screws all over the yard. Aluminum can t be picked up with a magnet. 4. They missed the schedule so bad, I wasn't able to get my trim painted as planned with the gutters were off.

Overall it went ok. The original person I talked to came out to do the estimate within several days. We placed the order within a few days and were told installation would probably be 3 weeks later. Hadn't heard back after two weeks. Felt like we had to do a lot of the checking in with the company. No one ever pro-actively called us to inform us of the exact installation date or time of installation. On the day it was installed, it was nice to come home to new garage doors, but no one left any instructions on how to get into the garage using the wireless keypad. The installer had left the remotes & the owners' manuals inside the garage, but we had no way of getting inside (as there is no separate side door entrance). We had to call the company to find out the code. The installation though itself is excellent. We are happy that it was done before any major snow this winter.

I contacted Garage Doors of Indianapolis. At 11:37 a.m. and was assisted by a very courteous representative of the company who made a dispatch on my behalf. About 5 minutes later I received a call from the dispatch indicating a technician would be at our home between 4-6 p.m. I received a call at about 3:15 p.m. indicating the tech was on his way. All work was satisfactorily completed by 4:30 p.m. at a reasonable cost. I'm very impressed with the same day service. The Gentleman who came out was named Tom. He was nice, not intrusive, and answered the few questions I had. We're very happy with Tom and his professionalism and with the work completed by Garage Doors of Indianapolis. We will use them again if necessary.

The representatives from Gutter Flo came out and were here for 5 minutes and "finished" the job. asked them if they put on the apron, and one of the guys that was actually up on the ladder doing the work told me that he did. This was a lie, because there was no apron ever installed. I later called back and told the lady that answered about the issue. I assumed since they were only there for 5 minutes and they never put on the apron (and the fact that they lied to me) that they were not going to bill me. When I got the bill, I called and spoke with I think it was Jim and explained to him the problem. After he verified that they indeed had not done the apron, he took off the charge for the apron, and came down on the rest of the price. The misrepresentation of the facts is unacceptable.

Each person I dealt with from the initial phone contact, through the dispatcher, and the two different workmen, was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. They fit me in so I could attend my appointments, they reminded me and arrived when they said they would. When the new item was installed, it had to be attached first via an extension cord to a wall socket to make it legitimate. But the workman called an electrician who has installed wall sockets and he agreed to come the next day in spite of a full schedule.

Although a company representative said they would call the following morning to tell me when they would have someone out, nobody called. I called in the late afternoon and shortly after a tech came to fix the door. Fast and friendly repair.

I called the company to help me with my door that broke. I wanted to know the pricing of a new door in case I wanted to do that and not just fix my broken spring. When I called I had to speak to two departments. One for the broken spring and another about setting up a sales call. When they sent me to the sales department they told me someone would have to call me back. This was at noon time on Monday 11/13/06. About 30 minutes later I received a call and the gentleman told me he could come out Tuesday evening to talk to me. I told him that would not work but he could come that evening Monday, instead. he said he didn't work then and he would see if someone else could come out and he would call me back. The call never happened so I went to a competitor and purchased a new door.

We have an older home with a heavy garage door. We thought it was going to be the motor but it turned out to be a spring. Since the garage door is older, he had to order the part. They were very honest, courteous and only fixed what needed be fixed. The price was reasonable and the work was completed in a reasonable amount of time!

The tech was on time, very friendly, and worked fast. He answered the questions I had about the door and gave me some ideas for what I wanted to do. I am very pleased with the work and would hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

While the crew showed up a little late (approx 30 minutes), the experience overall was excellent. They spent about 30 minutes on the adjustments and repairs and were able to salvage the lower panel that was damaged instead of selling us a new one.

John Swarr came to the house to measure for a new garage door. He was punctual, professional, and courteous. I expect to give him the job.

I only had one spring replaced as it is likely that we will need a whole new door in the near future. The repairman did give us a quote for a complete new door as well. The door operates properly now with no problem.

When I purchased a house the remote control garage door opener was not available. When I called the company to come out, they suggested I could save money by following their directions to determine which remote was needed. While on the phone, I climbed up on a ladder in the garage and read numbers off the opener. I then went out on West 96th and purchased the remote. The man also gave me advice about correcting squeaks and reducing air flow at the bottom of the door. He was oriented to customer service and was very accommodating.

Did a really nice job, very friendly and nice workers. I called on Monday and they came out that afternoon to measure the door, then came back Tuesday morning to install the insulation on the door. Changed out a hinge and put on new weatherstripping and basically did a great job on our garage door. Will use them again in the future.

Once the electrical issue was figured out for an older house, everything went well. I am glad I had replaced my old garage door and garage opener.

Fast service. They are very good. I am pleased with everything.

Spring/coil was broken on our garage door, called at 7am and they were here by 9:30am. Friendly service technician, fast service and reasonable price!

They quoted a very reasonable price, gave me the Angie's list discount, called to advise the time they were coming, and arrived on time. They did the work very quickly and professionally. The service tech was very helpful and even changed the way the spring was installed in case we had another spring break later.

I called, and they led me to believe they would be able to come out for a service call, but they didn't come, and they originally told me by late afternoon they would come out around 3-6, and I had to be at work at that time which they knew ahead of time. I have already made arrangements for someone else. I was highly disappointed.

Mike helped me. I lost his card so I don't have his last name. Recognizing that I was going to need to replace my garage door opening unit soon he gave me the part I needed for my door free of charge. It was probably only a $3.00 part, but the gesture was nice. On top of that he gave me advice on how to get my unit working again temporarily. He even returned my call when I got home and was a bit confused when I was working on the unit. I will undoubtedly need to replace the whole thing soon anyway. When I do, I will be going to Garage Doors of Indianapolis!

The repairman was polite and diligent. He replaced the motherboard 3 different times WITH THE SAME REPLACEMENT MOTHERBOARD, and it finally worked on the third time. I still got to pay for his 2 hours of labor. Their opener should not have failed b/c of its limited usage. When discussed with the corporation, they refused to negotiate their charges b/c their product had been installed over a year ago.
