They installed a new garage door for me.

Estimate was not received and work was completed once I returned home. The work that was completed was on the opener and not an estimate for the door. There was a bill waiting for me without any authorization of work. The opener works fine, but the door needed to be replaced. I do not understand why work would be performed without authorization.

Same day service, which was great. The people on the phone were helpful and courteous. The technician was knowledgeable & was able to quickly diagnose the problem & replace the failed part.

In January, gutter was replaced, however, a hole was left in the corner siding where the gutter meets up to the corner of the house. Additionally, black marks, scratch marks and chips were made in the siding by the ladders and tools. I called and spoke with someone at least four times during the month of Feb. and was told someone would come and look at the damage. By the first of March, I began calling again - always being told someone would check it out, but they never did. Someone finally left a door hanger saying it had been fixed when it had not! I've been calling up to 2 and 3 times a week and being told it would be ''checked out'', but never getting a phone call back. I spoke to Mr. Rickets early-on in the process of trying to get this resolved. This week I spoke with Jim Russell and he said he would check it out. I've spent a month and a half and I'm not feeling like I'm getting anywhere. Perhaps I am being too nice?

On 2/25/07 which happened to be a Sunday morning, our garage door would not open due to one of the springs breaking. We got another ride to church and when we returned we called the answering service for emergency help. Within 30 minutes our call was returned. Within an hour after that a young man named Jeff came and was able to replace the broken spring. He asked if we wanted the other spring replaced and we agreed. He was finished within 45 minutes. Although he looked very young, he knew what he was doing and did fixed the garage door in an efficient and professional manner. Although the price was a little high for weekend service, it was well worth it to be able to get our cars out of the garage and the door operating correctly.

EXCELLENT. MR. LARRY ADAMS CAME OVER ON SCHEDULE TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND EXPLAIN WHAT WAS NEEDED, WHEN IT WOULD BE DONE, AND ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS TO MY SATISFACTION. I WAS CALLED ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE THE INSTALLER SHOWED UP, AND HE WAS HERE ON TIME, AND DID THE JOB PROFESSIONALLY AND EXCELLENTLY. ALL OLD MATERIAL WAS CLEANED UP AND HAULED AWAY, AND THE INSTALLER DID A GREAT JOB OF EXPLAINING THE OPERATION OF THE NEW SYSTEM, AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS.

I was very pleased with their response and work.

The workman arrived promptly (before noon on the morning I called) and quickly determined why the door was not operating when I used the remotes or the door switch. He made the adjustments in less than half an hour. He was knowledgeable and very pleasant.

It went great, it took only 15 minutes. I do not thing they gave us the Angie's List discount.

They were available to come the same day, although they could not narrow down a time. It ended up being late afternoon, with a call 20 minutes before saying they were on their way. It ended up being spring adjustments needed and he checked everything and did maintenance on the door, tracks rollers, etc. He checked both remotes and replaced batteries in the one. Discussed the wear observed and gave estimates of life expectancy of the parts. I was happy with the service done.

I am glad they work on Saturday and address the problem within the same day. The service man is very professional and prompt.

One of the pulley cables on our garage door broke late one evening. The next morning, I called for service and the technician was at our house and had it fixed by lunchtime. When I mentioned that we had also been having trouble getting the door to close in the cold weather, he adjusted the torque sensor on the opener at no extra charge. I was very happy with the service, and will certainly use this company again!

I called in the morning and they were to my house and completed the repair before noon. I did not have to take off work for them to complete the work.

My garage door opener broke on the morning of a major snowstorm. I called the company expecting to schedule an appointment in the next day or two at the earliest. To my surprise, they told me that they would have a tech out that day. He arrived in the early afternoon (in the middle of the storm) and completed the work in about 30 minutes. He explained the work and even inspected and oiled the garage door to make sure that it would run more smoothly. He answered my questions and was courteous. The garage door opener and garage door now work perfectly, and the price was even a little lower than the guess the person gave me on the phone. These guys get an A+ for going well beyond doing good work.

They did not fix the problem at all-ultimately a second company had to come out and completely replace the door opener motor and they indicated previous spring adjustment by GDI was incorrect and opener motor circuits were dying. GDI had previously claimed door had an obstructed, then claimed a bad sensor (incorrectly replaced sensor at $160). They corrected the problem by refunding $160 spent on incorrect, unnecessary repair. Corey (company representative) was very helpful and cooperative in resolving the issue.

I haven't done anything more about it, but I appreciate a company that will help us to help ourselves first. Now that it didn't work I will call them and have them come out.

Received service within 2 hours of initial call. Technician was extremely helpful and courteous to not track through the home. In addition to replacing the spring, he noticed that a hinge needed to be replaced. He also assisted with programming the on-board garage opener in my new vehicle. Will definitely continue to use Garage Doors of Indy in the future if necessary.

I was grateful for Angie's List referral. It made the replacement of our broken garage door faster and I felt confident we were working with a quality company.

They fixed the problem the same day. They were very prompt and courteous. Great service.

It was very efficient and did a fine job. Looks and works great. They were very punctual.

Initial work was done while I was unavailable and my spouse supervised. Installation went fine, except worker proclaimed the door "didn't pass the balance test," which it didn't. It also wouldn't stay up unless the garage door opener held it up. Called firm to complain, and they were a real pain about coming back to fix it. Sent someone else, totally uninterested in fixing the door. He did adjust it so that it stayed up, but it still didn't pass the balance test when he was done. Eventually I called another company to adjust things correctly. Still don't understand the fuss this company made. It took the new company 5-10 minutes to adjust the springs.

Job 1: Very good experience. Job 2: Went really well. Only short-coming was the service person did not have a light bulb to put in the new opener.

Scheduled an appointment to evaluate garage door stability and installation of garage door opener. Technician arrived within scheduled time window and advised that he believed door could be used as is and could install garage door opener. Technician advised he could install garage door opener two days later. No time window was confirmed. On scheduled day, call customer service and found out time window. When technician attempted to install opener, he advised that he could not complete the job as garage door needed to be replaced. Felt that based on his experience level, he should have advised that the installation of the garage door opener with current door was questionable. Advised that we would have to call customer service and speak to sales personnel. Two days later, contacted salesman, and he came out and gave a quote. Asked for discount for two items being installed, and decided to go with this company. Door installation was completed by technician with no incident.
