Garage Doors of Indianapolis

We had some requirements for our new opener and this company was able to find a unit that met those requirements. The installation went smoothly and they worked with our schedule. It was such a good experience and I can't say enough good things about them.

I was very pleased with them. The people that helped me out were very professional and courteous and were very knowledgeable about their product. I would use them again if I had to.

They are great to work. They came back recently to repair the gutters do to the storms. It was no additional charge for them to come out and repair the gutters. I would highly would recommend them.

The service was very good. He was very personable. He told me the prices up front. He told me how long it was going to take. He was polite. He asked if there was anything else he could do to help. I liked that.

I will never bother with this company again.

They are very professional and nice. The remotes for the garage openers had stopped working and they came out and we found out someone had pulled them out of the wall, they were very helpful. It was not at all there fault but they stayed and helped us fix the problem. They had to reinstall them in different locations, which was not there responsibility.

This was the first time I had used their services. When I called to make the appointment they said it would be an eighteen point inspection but that is not what it was. He was here about ten minutes and sprayed some WD40 and said everything looked fine.

Their overall work was great. They installed it, they let me try it out, they explained everything to me and the price was very good.

I called for repair Thursday afternoon and they said I would receive a call the next morning to give me an estimate of time of arrival of the repair man. I had not received this call by 9:45 so I called for affirmation that a repair man would be there. They had not set a schedule yet so they called back around 10:00 and said the repair man would be there between 4:00 and 6:00 PM and would call 1/2 hour before arrival. There was no call by 5:45 so I called them. The new estimate of arrival was 7:00 PM. The repair finally arrive at 7:45 with no 1/2 hour warning call. The door was repaired satisfactorily.

They were professional and very prompt and did everything right and it was an easy purchase. I would recommend them. They did everything I asked and did it well.

They were friendly. They were really easy to work with. Their prices were competitive with everyone else. I called Angie's List to see if they were a quality company. I was satisfied with the job after they came out to fix it. They came out for free the second time.

He was very helpful and I was very impressed that he was able to help us. They really saved us a lot of money by not replacing the whole motor.

I wish I had been a member of Angie's List last fall and seen May 2007's report. Almost the exact thing happened to us in October 2007. They did not clean out the gutters that had gotten debris in since it was fall. The covers were not put back on correctly and pieces were missing. They never completed the work and we now have overflowing gutters.

The owner of this company stopped to give us an estimate. It just happened that the door got stuck on the track and he fixed it at no charge. I thought the gesture was a class act and he instantly endeared himself to me. The bid was competitive and we were happy with the overall experience.

My garage door wouldn't open. I called them, and a human being rather than a machine answered the phone. They had a man at my house in less than two hours. He was able to reset the garage door circuit board and tune it up in less than half an hour.

Overall, it went fine. I called about 4:15 in the afternoon, they happen to have somebody close by and called him and he arrived about 20 minutes later. From start to finish he was probably here about 25 minutes.

They came out several times and could not diagnose the problem at first. They replaced a compositor and a couple of other things that worked for a time. The problem was the spring was deteriorating and the door did not have the kind of lift that it needed. Eventually they did get it fixed. They were prompt and on time; they came when they said they were going to. We would hire them again, mostly because they know our garage door.

My mothers garage door opener had stopped working and I made an appointment for it to be replaced. The installer left a mess when removing the old opener. He left wires hanging that were long enough to touch the hood of her car when it was put back in the garage and did not remove the old transmitter. They sent a service man out 2 days later to clean up the poor installation. Then 2 weeks later, the entire assembly that attached the door to the opener broke loose. That service man said it was put together without lock washers and was not tighten properly. Garage door opener works fine now but a very poor installation job.

It didn't I went to another company instead.

We are very happy with the work. The only problem that we had was that they called the wrong number initially to let us know they were coming to do the work. Once we sorted that out, they were great.

They did a great job. I have used them for all of my garage needs.

Called to see if they could replace existing garage opener because current system did not have the safety mechanism which we felt was very important. Also, needed 2 openers instead of the one that came with the unit on the condo we purchased.

The product seems fine; the customer service was a disappointment. The estimator was nice and helpful, but when it came time to schedule the installation the scheduler was difficult. We played phone tag to find a day and I left a message for her to let me know when on that day they might be coming. The scheduler said she would call me the morning of the installation to let me know. I told her this was unacceptable that she should at least give me an estimate. I had to be insistent and a little bit rude to get a concession - she finally said "as close to noon as possible." The day of the installation she called to say the installer would arrive between 10:30am-12:30pm. He arrived at 12:PM. The installer was there until 4:45. About 1/2 hr. after he left I went into the garage to put things back (we had moved things to make room for the installation) I found nuts, bolts, snips of wire, splintered wood on the floor and driveway. He had done no cleanup before he left.

A few door contractors were contacted and visited before selecting Garage Doors of Indianapolis. Experience and product knowledge were most impressive. The cost was somewhat higher than other quotes. Their reputation, product knowledge and past work to install our overhead garage door many years ago were main factors of selection. Measurements were taken and work was scheduled. A phone call was received when the door was ready for installation and the two installers came on time, were very efficient and did a very satisfactory job.

Our experience was very satisfactory. They were very reasonably priced. They gave us a coupon for $10.00 off. He was very efficient and pleasant to work with. We have used this company before and will use them again.
