Garage Doors of Indianapolis

They always come out right on time. They quoted one price for the garage door and came in lower then what they were estimated at. I've gone into their store to buy parts and they are always very nice. I plan on using them again soon to do some more work.

They arrived on time for the installation. The installers were very professional. After the work was done they removed the old garage door and opener and left our garage and garage area very clean. They did a very good job of explaining the features and the functionality of the garage door and the opener.

They were very efficient, and professional. The job was done fairly quick. It has really improved the heat retention and sound reduction in the garage.

On a very bitter cold Friday evening we discovered our non functioning garage door. It was too late to obtain services without paying for overtime services. This business was very quick to respond to our call and to tell us that they kept regular business hours on Saturday and that they would be out the following morning to repair our door. As promised they arrived on schedule and quickly had the door repaired. The service people were very courteous and were quick to discover our problem and repair it in a timely manner. This was the second time I have used this company and both times found them to be knowledgeable and helpful.

On a Sunday afternoon, my garage door opener just died on me. I could hear it running but the chain was not moving. After trying some things on my own, I realized the issue was probably with the gears. I submitted an on-line request Sunday evening. GDI called me first thing on Monday morning. Even when I couldn't leave work early to meet the technician, the work was done without me (with the agreement that they would not do work if it was a significant investment). Excellent service all the way around!

We needed to use the emergency service since it was on a Sunday. The representative was very professional and called to let us know his status about when he would be arriving. Will definitely call them again if we have trouble with our door.

Called GDI on Monday morning and scheduled a same-day service visit to assess my issues with the opener. I decided to have a new unit installed the next day and the job was completed before noon on Tuesday.

This was not an emergency call. I called and asked for service the next afternoon and received it as promised. They called in the morning and gave me a 2-hour time window, then called to give me a 15-30 minute notice of arrival. The tech, Rob, was prompt and professional, and did the job quickly, putting the door back in almost-new condition. Before he left, he asked if there was anything else he could do, other than what I requested.

Great. I called on Thursday late afternoon, and they came the next day, which was good because my car was locked in the garage(when a spring is broken it is nearly impossible to get the garage door open...unless you're The Hulk!). They were able to give me a quote over the phone for the springs, which I liked. The technician arrived on time, was friendly and efficient. He had the springs replaced in about 20 minutes! The only negative comment I have is that when I called on Thursday, they couldn't tell me a time they would arrive on Friday...they couldn't even promise morning or afternoon. They do not put their routes together until each morning, so I didn't know until about 9:30 am what time they would be here(I was actually hoping they would be here by 9:30!). I actually ended up calling them in the morning to find out the time because I was getting antsy and needed to schedule my day.

Responded well to my call. Were good about changing a date when I needed to. They were good about changing the appointment time when I had to do so.

We took advantage of a holiday special price. Their Representative came to our house and brought brochures. He gave us recommends for a standard door that was economical. He kept it realistic. The installation went well. They arrived on time and did the work quickly. They differed to us in any decisions and they made sure that the door worked.

They were professional. They came at the time they said they would and called before they came. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly. They did a nice clean-up.

The sales folks (who I only spoke to on the phone) were very knowledgeable and experienced. Definitely recommend.

My garage door would not open. This company came out, replaced the broken spring and did other door maintenance. The service was great!

Very attentive to the problem. Very cordial. Had a coupon from the newspaper. Don't know what savings (if any) there was.

It was great. The cost was exactly as the estimate was. They came on time. Very courteous and explained what they were going to do before they did it.

About 7PM the Friday after Thanksgiving, we were leaving the house. Opened the garage door, and it screeched and became badly skewed, falling off the tracks in places. Called GDI; answering service said they'd pass call on to a technician. Anthony called back immediately; said he was on another call, would be here at about 9PM, and noted there'd be a $165 after-hours service call cost, plus materials. We agreed. He arrived about 8:30PM. Efficiently fixed the broken cable and put the door back on track, all within an hour. When I mentioned that his quick service at such a late hour deserved a good report to Angie's List, he re-did the invoice to reflect the $10 discount. We were very grateful for such a prompt response to fix our problem. The cost was high, but that's understandable considering the time of service. Anthony was much more cheerful than I would've been, working at that hour.

Great service. My garage door spring broke at approximately 5:15 on Tuesday night. After getting the run around from a different service company, I contacted Garage Doors of Indianapolis. I received a prompt call back that quoted that pricing for that night or the next morning. I asked about getting a first thing in the morning appointment and was told they couldn't guarantee it, but that it should be possible. The next morning I received a call telling me they would be here between 11 and 1. The tech showed up at approximately 12:25 and promptly replaced the spring, lubed the door and was finished very quickly. Price was as quoted.

Work was completed in a timely manner, no problems as the service person came before he started job to check it out and make sure he had the right type of stripping to complete job.

Originally we had scheduled service on the previous Saturday. That Saturday we received a call to inform us that they did not service the Lebanon area on Saturdays. During the week I received a call to follow up on the service we received. When I informed them of what happened I was promptly connected with the Sales Manager. After talking with me he said that he would get back with me within half an hour. About five minutes later he called me to assure me that someone would be out Saturday to service our door. He even gave me his cell number in case I had problems to call him personally. Saturday morning I received a call around nine to schedule the service. The Service technician was here about ten and had the work completed in less than an hour. He was very professional and did a very good job.

I have used this company numerous times before. I have never had a problem with the company. They came out and did the estimate as scheduled. That was good because my garage ended up having a special need. The ceiling was lower than usual and they made it work. They are very reliable and based on my previous experiences with them I definitely will use them again. Everything went off without a hitch.

The door went up, but not all the way. I thought a spring had broken. They came out within a couple of hours and had it all repaired. They took time to look for other pending problems. They were concerned about the age of the system and suggested that for my safety I not enter the garage when the door was rising or falling. They checked the safety cables on the springs. On a later occassion my remote would not work. I called them and they told me how to check that the remote and box on the opener were in sync. They, for some reason, were not and I was able to fix the problem myself.

I called and they came out the next day. They had to special order my door because it was an odd size. The man door was replaced within a couple of days, however, and the man that did it was a seriously wonderful craftsman. The old door fell apart when it was removed from the concrete block structure and not a speck of mess was left for me. In fact, the man swept up my garage floor in places that he didn't make dirty. Wow. The new framing was installed so precisely that it was comparable to work that would have been done inside a house. Just beautiful. The door is hung perfectly. I really appreciate that. The new garage door arrived in about a two weeks and they called and scheduled a time to arrive and two guys came and within 2 hours, it was in and all the mess was gone. They double-checked the fit and mechanisms and touched up spots in the paint that were not even visible to me. Great job.
