from start to finish this process of attempting to choose replacement garage doors with Garage Doors of Indianapolis was horrendous. the initial appointment at our house was late. the sales rep forgot to bring all of the style books with him. he was more interested in talking about my "toy" in the garage. eventually when we got the style nailed down, he quoted a price that was more than 2x the price of competitive quotes on extremely similar products. it was unbelievable. don't waste your time here ... you are better of with Overhead Garage Doors.

This report is mainly about their responsiveness. I ended up being very pleased with their responsiveness. At first,I was a little frustrated when I called and got put on hold, then a minute later somebody else picked up the phone and when I said I was calling for service, she put me through to the voice mail of the person who originally put me on hold. I would have rather waited on hold. But I left a message and fully expected to have to call back, based on the crappy service I have been getting lately. But Virginia called me back promptly and said they would get a person out the same day. About three hours later, I got a call from the dispatcher saying the tech would be there in a half hour. When I arrived in 20 minutes, he was already in the driveway. He was quick and knowledgeable and, overall, I was very happy with the service I got.

Service man was nice enough. He repaired two doors, changed a cable on one side of one of the doors, replaced a roller and got the door back on track. We rarely use this door and after two uses it came off the track again and the roller broke. They could not come out right away so we called another company who showed us that the last tech did not use the same length cable which could have been reason for failure. I have a problem with Garage doors of Indianapolis because he didn't seem to take the time to look the whole door over. The tech was out he said they schedule for techs to only be on site for 15 minutes. I think he was running out of time so didn't do a thorough job. The new company worked on the door for almost an hour and charged less than Garage Doors of Indpls. Lawrence Garage Doors is the new company that seemed to do a much better job and took pride in their work.

Everything went well. They came out the same day I called.

Overall, six months after the repair, the garage door fails to open or close automatically during cold weather. The owner refuses to stand by their work, expecting me to pay nearly full price for another repair, which should have been performed 6 months ago. This cost and inconvenience has caused me to stop using their unreliable and unprofessional services.

Everything went fine. They gave very good service. They seemed to be very knowledgeable about what they were doing and were able to diagnose the problem right away. It was a very prompt service and were able to send a person over the same day of my call.

They did a good job. They were punctual. They were here when they said. They did their work quickly and efficiently, shorty after we scheduled them. They lived up to everything they said.

They were wonderful to work with. They were very responsive and practical. They offer good and timely service.

Began at showroom about two weeks ago. Salesman discussed options and then arranged home visit to confirm size, check for issues, etc. After home visit, set installation date (less than one week later). Day of installation company called at 8:20 to advise that tech would arrive between 10:30 and 12:30. He appeared at 11. Total project took about an hour and a half. Finished product looks great. Tech cleaned up the garage and area quite well.

It went very well. Andy was very nice and professional. The charges were reasonable considering the circumstances. Andy even explained each part of the door as he worked on it. This actually isn't the first time we've used this company, and it likely won't be the last.

They did the work very well. They were professional and responsive. I thought that they did a good job.

They have good service. They are here on time.

Overall, it was a good experience - timely attention from the phone center, repairman and the salesman. Calls were made to let me know when to expect someone to come and they were all very punctual. I would definitely use this company again.

They were prompt and efficient. They came back and made an adjustment the next day because I asked them to, at no charge. I would recommend them.

It arrived about 5 weeks after ordering. They installed it without telling me, putting it up so fast I couldn?t believe it. When I called them to inform them it was not the door I ordered, they took the position that it was exactly the door I ordered. I even have the paperwork for it. They have refused to fix the color and design. I put $1900 down and owed $1900 for the remainder, which I paid to maintain my good credit. I informed them that I couldn?t deal with it and asked them to come stain the door the color I want. They keep saying they are going to come out and never do. I spoke with the vice president who informed me that he would have an individual come out and they never showed or called.

Service tech performed the door maintenance/adjustments quickly and professionally. He came a little later than expected, but I was happy to get the door repaired within a day of calling for service.

I cannot thank this company enough for the great service and the beautiful garage door. We decided to replace the 58 year old door on our ranch home - the color matches our stone exactly - I am so pleased. Patrick Henningsen is a super Sales Consultant - great communication!

It went great and went a lot quicker then I thought it would. They had two techs installing the door and worked steadily until they got the job done. They cleaned up afterward.

Installed garage door opener as scheduled. Technician did not install keyless entry as he did not have parts on his truck. Technican did not provided only one remote as the other one was not programmed correctly. He advised keyless entry would be installed next day. Called to confirm time of installation and office advised that time was not possible as day was full. Set up new time for keyless pad installation for next day. Technician was a no show. Had to call into company to have individual walk through programming remote. Only pay for services installed.

They installed 20 windows for us in our home. They used a good brand of windows. The frames are constructed out of fiberglass. The men who installed them clearly understood what they were doing. They finished the job within 2 days even though the weather was cold and there were quite a few windows to install; very efficient workers. After the job, they cleaned up beautifully. Everything looks better when they got done. I'm very satisfied with their service.

I discovered the broken cable on Thursday afternoon and immediately call GD o I. Their techncian came out about two hours later and performed the work described above.

I was able to reach someone after hours who was able to schedule us immeidately. I had called a competitor first and got an answering service who had someone call us back in the morning. We went with Garage Doors of Indianapolis because we could schedule immediately, and they happened to be running a sale on the exact service we needed, which was a great bonus. On time, fast, on sale, what more can I say?

I have had experience with other garage door people in the past and it was terrible- so I was not looking forward to this visit. The repair person was on time, well dressed, had all the necessary equipment and had the door repaired in very short order. Then, since he said he had to charge for a minimum service call anyway, he cleaned and serviced the door and gave me tips on prolonging the life of the door and the mechanical structures. Then when I asked about having a keypad installed he offer to do it on the spot but offered me the alternative of buying one for less money at a home center and told me how to determine what to buy and how to install it. I will only call this company in the future and recommend them.

The cable broke about 8:30 pm (with 2 cars trapped in the garage) and we called GDI about 10 minutes later. The service person showed up shortly after midnight and had things fixed in about half an hour. I don't think you could do much better than 4 hours, start to finish. GDI charges $99 plus parts for service during normal working hours and an additional $40 for after hours service. We'll use them again.
