Garage Doors of Indianapolis

Basically I requested a garage door tune-up; however once Craig looked things over, he recommended I replace the rollers as they were showing wear (and he took one and showed me what he meant); also weather stripping at bottom of door had shrunk over the years which left dirt, rain, snow, come into the garage. Craig replaced that at a reasonable price. I had another company out to look at my door a few months ago and they tried telling me everything needed to be replaced; folks, it always pays to get a second opinion. I never felt as if I was being ripped off with Garage Doors of Indianapolis.

They came right out and took care of the problem. I believe they came out the same day or the next day. They finished in an hour to an hour and a half.

Tech was fast and professional. Only issue we had is we were told we would get a call with ETA between 8-10am. No call. Tech showed up at 10:45am.

The experience was very good. They have always been a good provider. Never had any trouble. Always on time. Very courteous, and also ask if I need anything else.

I tried to do this same job last year, but the company apparently never ordered my doors and they did not follow back up with me in regards to the job, despite having my down-payment. I ended up canceling this job and getting a refund as I was leaving town for a while. After going into the store to discuss my needs, the salesman came to my house the next day to get measurements, discuss the job, schedule the installation, etc. This all went very well, but I never heard another word from them until I called a few days before the scheduled installation to ensure the doors were in stock and to push the install back a few days. The person I spoke with wanted to know why I thought the install was to be done on the specified date when they had not called me to schedule it. After explaining to him that it was scheduled on the date it was sold, he agreed to reschedule me. I then called back a couple days before the new install date and left a voicemail to make sure the doors were in (since the first guy could not tell me), and to confirm the install. I received a quick response, but was unable to take the call, and the message just stated that we were still on for the install, but didn't confirm whether the doors were in fact in. On the voicemail, I was told that someone would call me sometime the morning of the install to let me know when the installer would be at my house, since they couldn't even give me a window (like 8-10 or 8-12, or 12-5). The installer arrived right at 8am on the scheduled day, and then at 8:10 I received a call telling me the installer would be here between 8:30 and 9:30. While I appreciate that he was punctual, a call before-the-fact, not after-the-fact would have been nice as we still needed to do a bit of moving stuff in the driveway and garage to be ready for him. After about 4 1/2 hours, the 2 new doors/openers were finally installed, and working properly. Overall I was very satisfied with the actual installation, but they are not proactive at all in keeping customers apprised of scheduled jobs. In my opinion, they should give the customer a call a few days ahead of the schedule install date to confirm the installation, and then call the day before installation to give a window of time when the installer will arrive, hence the lower score for professionalism.

I purchased the big deal as our garage door opener wasn't performing correctly. The technician came out and let me know that the gear would need to be replaced and that the labor was covered as part of the tune up / service call. After the repair was completed they wanted to charge me an additional $99 for labor and told me that I should have requested as service call instead of a tune up (they are both the same cost). I argued that they should be one in the same and was able to get get the additional charge waived. I would use the company again but you need to be very clear with the technician as to the correct charges and hold them to what they quote.

Technician was polite and punctual. He noticed the noise and vibration from garage door opener. He made necessary adjustments so door opens smoothly.

On time, professional, good service.

Excellent! I called at 12:30 on a Saturday and they were at my house by 3:30. Charles was the technician and he was excellent. Very professional, very knowledgable and just an all-around great guy.

Garage Doors inspected the door and saw the motor, springs and door were in good shape. Oiled springs and checked pull motor. Squeaking was caused due to work plates & rollers, which we paid to have replaced. Door is in MUCH better shape now.

They did a great job. I had 2 other quotes and theirs was the lowest quote and there was a friend of mine that used them too. It was very well done. We had a reschedule once but other than that, there was no problem on our part. In fact we had a delay on our end and they worked through that delay, so I'd say that they were more patient than we were.

They called immediately after I bought the deal to make sure I was not in an emergency situation. I was very impressed by this. They were also able to work around my schedule and came late. I liked them and the price was good. I really enjoyed working with them.

They did everything as promised. They were prompt and I highly recommend them.

Badly! Called at 9:30 AM for garage door repair. Was told would be out TODAY. Called again about noon to see if they had an idea of time of day. Was told tech in area had ran into a difficult job & taking longer than expected. Received a call at 1:15 PM, saying tech was on his way. I called back at 3:30 PM and asked where the tech was? I was told again tech in area had ran into a difficult job & taking longer than expected, he would call sometime between 3 & 7 PM when he was on his way. Decided I was being jerked around and would see if another company could do the repair. Checked Angie's list for another garage door company. Found an "A" rated company with all positive reviews. ( See Prefection Garage Doors review) Called this company at 4:30. At 4:38PM I called Garage Doors of Indianapolis to cancel my service request. At 6:05 a Garage Doors of Indianapolis tech called and said he was on his way. I told him I had canceled the service call and another company had fix the door and left already. In response to provider's response: When I call the company at 9:39AM I was NOT told it would be between 3-7 PM before they could get to me. Had I known that I would have called another company right away. As stated I called the company at noon to check on arrival time and was told what is stated above. As stated at 1:15 PM their dispatcher called me and made the statement as written above. All calls were made and received on a cell phone with telephone numbers & times recorded. I had called only Garage Doors of Indinanpolis until 4:30 PM. Their tech never arrived at my house because he called to say he was on his way and I told him then the job had been done. So he never came house. Because I had expected more timely service and gave Garage Doors of Indianapolis the benefit of the doubt I missed two appointments that day. Finally, I'm very disappointed with the spin the company put on their response to try to make it look like I the customer was at fault for expecting more timely response. Again had I been told up front that the earliest they could get there was between 3-7 I would have called someone else. Maybe they knew that.

It is under warranty so there is no charge. The service has been good but it is the third garage door opener. The people putting it in are very kind but the motor they are using is not of quality. They are prompt and friendly.

The technician was late. The appointment was scheduled for between 4-6p. The technician showed up after 7p. He was drenched in sweat and very apologetic. Said the job before mine was really difficult and caused him to run late. I was the last stop before he headed home for the eve.

Both my garage door openers were fried when a neighbor's tree fell into my yard and took down all the power lines along the alley. The repairman was prompt and thorough as usual. These guys are all so good they not only repair what's damaged, they also check to make sure everything is working properly before they leave.

They fixed the issue and did a good job.

Everything was fine. They might have been a tad high but they provide good service.

They did routine maintenance the garage door. They were professional and did good work. I was happy with their service.
