Garage Doors of Indianapolis

It was a good experience and we haven't had a problem with them. They were prompt and came when we called them.

He watched the door go up and down once or twice. Sprayed lubricant on the tracks of the door (from the ground). He did not get a ladder out. Never tightened a bolt, never looked at saftey sensors, never evaluated spring tension. I have had one of their guys come out before. He was great and went above and beyond. Walked me through the problems with my doors and fixed/adjusted everything. (This was over a year ago and it was not related to a Angie's list coupon like this current visit was) Is there a way that they feel like they shouldn't do much b/c I used a coupon this time? For 15 min of my time and a 5 dollar can of lubricant from Lowe's I could have done a better job and saved myself $59 x 2 doors. Update: -Customer service called to set up a time for a manager to make a return visit and repeat /inspect the service.

Garage door was randomly opening several times and since it was considered "old" it was deemed necessary to replace the opener. I did not consider it safe to have the door opening while I was not at home. Called Garage Doors of Indy and they promptly gave me a time they could do the replacement. They were right on time and had called ahead to tell me when they would arrive. The repairman seemed very knowledgeable about the replacement and all seemed to go well.

The service was fair. But they did give a little trouble about traveling as far as they did for my service. However the technician that came to my home was very punctual and professional.

When we returned home Thurs. evening from choir, the garage door would only go down 3/4's of the way. Checked the sensors to make sure they were clear, but still would not go down. Used the unlock pulley to get the door down, & locked. Called Garage Doors of Indpls. this morning after re-checking the sensors, and no obstruction blocking it and nothing else we could do ourselves. Called at around 10:30 A.M. and Brian was here by 12:30 P.M. Brian had the problem solved within the first 10 minutes as a faulty part that had been replaced in Sept. They had to change vendors because of problems many were having with the part. He showed us the part and the weakness that had been the problem. We are grateful for the service provided. We have had their techs out to service the doors and a couple of times for parts that needed replaced. The service has always been prompt, & their employees able to find & fix any problems. Brian did not charge us for the part or the service call. He was definitely our angel of the day!!

Technician,(Tom), readily identified problem as broken cable. He installed new cables, and recalibrated door spring and opener. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Tom and Garage Doors of Indianapolis to anyone needing repairs or maintenance on their Garage doors.

Bought the $59 big deal for this service on January 21, 2014. The office promptly called that same day and scheduled us for between 5 pm - 9 pm. I declined this time frame as cannot see the technician working in the garage late and under such cold temperature. The technicians came this morning and wasted no time to perform the inspection and tune up. Both are very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable of their trade. They offered useful tips on how to maintain the proper operation of the garage door. I would like to add that it just so happened that our garage door would only close halfway automatically on the date of the big deal purchase; thus we are grateful that the Garage Doors of Indianapolis came the very next day! Thank you! We will not hesitate to recommend this company to our friends and we will be contacting them again if need be.

Everything went fine, expect they never gave me the full accessories/hardware for the outside of the door. I never had this much problems with a garage door and it has become quite frustrating. They had to replace the motor once, the door seems to always get off track every other month, I have had them come out several times for them to either re-grease or re-track. The garage makes terrible noises and always sounds like it is on the verge of collapsing. I have to manually re-set the up/down memory every other week it seems. This whole setup seems shoddy at best. It would be wonderful for a manager to come out, truly inspect all the issues and find solution to all the problems I have.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They came within a week of the purchase. I didn't pay any extra. They were professional. Beside the work, they also told me what to do to maintain the garage door on a daily basis. They also helped me reset my password for the keypad. They were very good and I would recommend them to others. I may use them again in the future.

Service was prompt, professional and courteous and was done must faster than I thought it would be. Will use them the next time something happens to the door!

Used Angies list deal to order service. Company rep called next day to schedule service. Service was scheduled same day. Repairman was professional, called before arrival and arrived as was scheduled. routine annual service performed and roller repaired. excellent company.

Another $60 higher and I would have gone to Lowes and just bought one of the newer spring systems that I can tension myself.

The workmen were professional, prompt and on time. They performed trouble shooting to ensure our doors were working properly before leaving. They didn't try to pursade me to purchase products that were overpriced (have broken light on the wall garage door control). Would use them again for tune ups or emergency service.

I called Thursday and they were able to send someone out the next morning; and honor the big deal or Groupon price they were advertising (without my having to purchase it first through the website.) I appreciated the prompt response and good service for the money. Justin, the technician, was very professional and did not waste time. He thoroughly addressed my questions and concerns. I was very pleased with the price: $211. Justin showed me the cause of the problem: frayed cables on both sides of the 2-car garage door. For the price, he replaced the cables; and tuned up both that door and the 1-car door; so they should be good to go now. He also tightened the fasteners between the door and the wall, to reduce a large gap that had developed there.

Everything went fine. He arrived, diagnosed the problem (garage door was not always closing properly), and fixed it quickly. I would definitely use this service provider again in the future.

Had a very loud sound coming from garage door while opening, so i called the provider. The technician did what had to be done to fix the problem without trying to sell me additional items. It was very professional, honest and quick. I would use these guys and recommend them as well for all my garage door needs!

Despite my best intentions, I neglected to get our annual garage door tuneup until frigid weather hit and the opener stopped working. I called Garage Doors of Indianapolis to schedule a service call, and asked if I could buy their Angie's List big deal - a tuneup for $59. They told me I could, and that it would pay for either a tune up or service call, which I scheduled. The Tech called this morning to let me know when he would be out, and again when he was 20 minutes away. He adjusted the power and the sensors and lubed everything and the door is working just fine now, and is much quieter than it used to be. He was here and gone in about half an hour.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out fine. I have had them before and I have been very satisfied. They are reliable. They are on time. They are courteous. Usually their service man is very nice. I have been satisfied with their work. Their price was fair.

Great as usual. These guys never leave until everything works as it should, whether that's the reason they were called or not.

Went well. They arrived did the fix up and were gone in less than an hour. Love this company and their employees are always courteous.

Sales person Chris came out, measured and gave me estimate. He stated that once I order, within 2-3 days he will call me with date for install. Normally only 2 weeks for order to come in. Week later I called to place order, then it was a week or so later before I could actually get a date for install. He stated a date that he would call me (Mon or Tues)...he didn't call so I called him. He said he wasn't in office so he will call me tomorrow. He didn't call so I called Friday and he almost called me a liar since he claimed he called me and left a message on the date. But he would call me Monday to confirm date. He didn't call so I called him Tues. (there was no apology or mention of his accusation) he just told me the date of install. I had asked him repeatedly to make sure it is early morning since I work afternoon shift. He said no problem he will note it on the order. Well they called that morning, to give me a window and of course I was an afternoon appt. so as time got close to 1pm I called and reschedule for another day and once again insisted that I must have a morning appt so I would not be late for work. Well once again it was an afternoon appt. So I had to take off work in order for this late install. BOTTOM LINE, THE SALES END OF THIS TRANSACTION IS NOT VERY GOOD SERVICE...BE AWARE. The install tech was very good, friendly, professional, person. When I asked about how they schedule their jobs, he state, that the furthest job is always the first job, so that is why I am the second job for the day. (Not sure if my request was ignored or not requested) BUT Door looks and worked great. Because of the odd size height, the tech had told me that they needed to come back and install another seal on outside of garage. They came out and installed that double seal and then my door started jerking whenever it would raise. So they came out twice to fix that issue. And both service tech was good. I have had my previous garage door service by them before and also had them to install the garage door opener years ago, so I know that the service technicians are really good.

The actual service went perfect. The scheduling of the service was poor. ACTUAL SERVICE: Two gentlemen arrived at my house, both were friendly and excited to get to work. They said the job was a challenging one and out-of-ordinary. They were done in less than one hour and my garage door--which was not functioning, dented, and off-axis--works like new and is in excellent shape. I am completely satisfied by their competency and craftsmanship. SCHEDULING THE SERVICE: On Sunday night, 10:00pm, I called for emergency service the next AM. Someone took my contact information & address and said someone would contact me first thing the next morning. All of Monday went by with no phone call so I placed one to them. I was informed that not only did they not call me, they had no record of my information ANYWHERE, which is quite unnerving. *They did not assure me that they would trace my information and resolve the issue* but just said someone would be out the next day, to which I informed them of my flexibility, except for unavailability in the middle of the day. Tuesday morning I get a phone call letting me know that servicemen would arrive to my house during the time I was unavailable. They again, did not seem to have record of the conversation and were not accommodating to service me earlier, since I needed service ASAP. BOTTOMLINE: I would re-hire them because of the quality of at-home service, not because of the quality of their in-house operations.

Jason was great. I'd bought a Big Deal for inspection but the compay didn't serve my area. Brad from Concierge came to the rescue. It was confusing because I was also buying other Big Deals for other work, but we got it sorted out. After talking to Garage Doors of Indy, it was clear that an inspection/tune-up wouldn't cover my needs and they were nice enough to tell me upfront that if I purchased inspection but needed service, I'd not be able to apply it. However, I'd get all the inspection deal would offer with service. There had been no work done on the door for at least 15 years. My husband had stored a bunch of stuff over the frame so it was impacting the system. Jason was patient and worked as he could as my husband (mostly) and I moved the stored stuff. Once moved, everything was fine for the test and the fix worked perfectly. He replaced gear and sprocket, gave us 2 remote openers and said he'd sell me a new door but ours was in good shape. Love that honesty!

It went great! The garage door now goes up and down smoothly without the bumping and noise it had before this work. It fits much tighter shutting out the cold air that was coming in before the new molds were applied. The technician was professional, prompt, and knew exactly what was needed to resolve the problems with the door.

While we were offered same day service, we weren't available to meet the service team on 14Oct13, when we called in. So we made an appointment for the next day. Chris and Jason arrived on-time and really had the problem ID'd and fixed within a few minutes. The retention springs needed adjustment. In addition to the adjustment, they lubed all working parts on the garage door opener system. We also discussed the future of the existing springs and Genie opener. When we are ready to replace both (probably within the next year) we will definitely call Garage Doors of Indianapolis to handle that task.
