Description of Work: The technician came in time and fix the issue of my garage door. However, it seems to me the charge is $100 more expensive than the other companies listed here. The tuning plus roller replacement is $199 in total, in addition to other material cost of $125. The other company listed tuning + roller replacement price is $99 ($100 cheaper). Before I decided to use this company, I made a phone call to have a quote, the answer of the cost estimate is easy to be misled. When I talked to the technician about the difference of my understanding of charge from what I heard over the phone, the technician said he could remove the new rollers and put back the old ones to reduce the cost. However it is not my point.

Description of Work: We had to have our entire garage door and motor replaced. We used a different company for replacing the springs about 4 months ago. We now realize how much this other company overcharged us. The prices are fair with Garage Doors of Indianapolis. They did a great job and were very helpful.

Description of Work: Our garage door was not going down and we assumed it was the sensors, but we could not realign them ourselves. Garage Doors representative tried to trouble shoot over the phone, but it was unsuccessful, so we set up an appointment. Rob was able to come out the same day. There were some wires that had come undone and he fixed them. He also replaced some bolts that had come out and greased the wheels so that it ran smoother. We were very happy with the work.

Description of Work: replaced two springs, gear and sprocket for two car garage. cost of parts $240, labor $99. Andrew was very professional and did a great job. office was willing to send someone out ASAP if we had a car stuck in our garage.

Description of Work: A piece of the motor assembly broke off. I called Garage Doors of Indpls. and they came immediately. replaced the part, checked the door, checked on the motor, tightened the chains and replaced the rollers in the door.

Description of Work: As noted all areas of service were better than satisfactory excepting the price. The service call was $99 even though no real mechanical service was needed. I misunderstood the operational proceedure The serviceman was most accomodating but was no doubt driven by company policy..

Description of Work: The spring on our garage door broke... we called Garage Doors of Indianapolis and they were VERY responsive, came out that same afternoon and quickly and effectively replaced the spring... service man was professional and knew what he was doing.... Great experience!

Description of Work: We scheduled an appointment for Garage Doors to come to our house to do a tune-up on our two garage door openers. The appointment was for the afternoon of April 1, 2011. They confirmed the appointment with two calls (one to homje phone and one to cell) the morning of April 1, saying the technician would arrive between 1 and 5 p.m. I left work to be at home by 1:00 p.m. A little before 4:00 p.m. I called to check because the technician hadn't arrived yet, only to be told he had one more job still ahead of ours and that he might not be able even to get to our house before 6:00. I understand that technicians can't necessarily control how long it takes to complete a service call, and if this were the only time this had happened to us with this company, I would let it go. But it's the second time in a row -- we tried to get this routine service done a few months ago, got an appointment with Garage Doors, and the exact same thing happened: after waiting around for at least three hours, we were told the technician would not be able to get to our house within the agreed-upon four-hour window. Next time, we'll call the Overhead Door Company.

Description of Work: Sprocket was broken on my double garage door, rendering it useless. The technician, I think his name was Brad, was very clean cut, polite and professional. He quickly got the job done and it now works better than ever.

Description of Work: Called at 7 AM to their westside number due to entrapment. They indicated someone would call within 1-2 hours due to entrapment. Did not hear from them by 9 AM. I called again at 9 AM and was told they usually schedule between 8 - 10 AM. Still did not hear from anyone by 945 AM. Called Overhead Door and they scheduled someone immediately. Called Garage Doors of Indianpolis back to cancel. Very unresponsive.

Description of Work: We called, a rep came out as scheduled & provided an estimate. We took that estimate & did some comparative shopping. Called them back & ordered. The arrived as scheduled & promised, installed new door. Installer noticed a defect in one panel, another installer came out a day later & replaced it.

I was quoted the price and given a time and date for installation over the phone from Larry. The day I closed on my house the installers were on time. They installed the garage door opener within 45 minutes and did a great job. I paid the quoted price and have been satisfied with their work. I recommend this company.
