Description of Work: WE CALLED GARAGE DOORS OF INDIANAPOLIS FOR SERVICE TO OUR GARAGE DOOR. THE PHONE REPRESENTATIVE SAID SHE WOULD SEND SOMEONE OUT THE NEXT DAY BETWEEN 11 AND 1. NO ONE SHOWED. WE CALLED BACK TWICE AND WERE TOLD SOMEONE WAS ON THEIR WAY. NO ONE SHOWED UP. WHEN WE CALLED AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE PHONE REP TOLD US THAT THEY HAD NEVER GUARANTEED THAT THEY WOULD SHOW UP.

+ -1 moreI CONTACTED ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER WHO HAD A REPAIRMAN OUT WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS, TIGHTENED A CONNECTION AND PRONOUNCED MY OPENER TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE. I DIDN''T NEED A NEW OPENER OR ANY REWIRING. I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED FROM GARAGE DOORS IF INDIANAPOLIS.
Description of Work: I CALLED GDI ON A FRIDAY TO HELP ME WITH A GARAGE DOOR OPENER THAT HAD STOPPED WORKING THAT MORNING. THEY SENT A REPRESENTATIVE OUT AND I WAS INFORMED THAT MY OPENER WAS "SHOT" AND THAT THE REPRESENTATIVE COULD FIX IT TEMPORARILY AND THAT IT MAY LAST FOR UP TO 25 MORE CYCLES BUT MAYBE WOULDN''T WORK FOR MORE THAN 5 OR 6. HE CONVINCED ME TO REPLACE THE OPENER AT A COST OF $300. THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY A TECHNICIAN CAME TO INSTALL THE NEW OPENER BUT I WAS INFORMED THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT REWIRING TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW OPENER. THIS WAS GOING TO COST AN ADDITIONAL $100. I TOLD HIM NOT TO DO THE WORK AND I WOULD CONTACT HIM TO SET ANOTHER TIME FOR THE ADDITIONAL WIRING.
