i was buying a home from a so-called friend who got a del from this guy (they are buds). Upon my home inspection (which my "friend" advised me against) the inspector told me the ac/furcace was breakered incorrectly at 40 amp for a unit that is supposed to be 60 amp . The inspector recommended a complete evaluation of the unit by a licensed HVAC technician. I thought this John Gillespy WAS licensed HVAC. Due to our odd Indiana weather there were times I have switched from heat to a/c and since my a/c and firnace was brand new (july 2011) i didnt figure I would have immediate issues with it. we had a few hot days this September so I tried to turn my A/c back on and low and behold it wouldnt work. I placed several calls to John who would take forever to get back with me, or say he would be to my house by #pm that day then never show up. it would take him weeks to get to the job. Also, and this is really a minor thing, when he was here, he would leave a dirt pile on the floor by the furnace/a/c unit and left the door off the unit that I had to install myself. I am a single mother not that I am complaining because I managed to do it. Its just that I already have enough on my plate. Maybe John is more professional when he is doing favors for his friends, but he has to realize I was the one who essentially paid his "friend" for the unit.
Description of Work: I was buying a home from a so called friend who used this guy who got a deal. Upon doing the home inspection (which the friend advised me not to do, I am a first time home buyer, on contract, no bank) the inspector told me the ac was breakered incorrectly at 40 amp for a unit that is supposed to be for 60 amp. The inspector recommended a complete evaluation on the unit by a licensed HVAC technician. This guy is a licensed technician and knew what he was putting in and obviously was cutting costs. I had to place several calls to this guy because due to the odd Indiana weather we have I had to turn the furnace off and a few times wanted to turn the a/c back on and it would not turn on. He also left a dirt pile in the floor next to the furnace and did not replace the door. Very poor communication. Woud say he will be there by #pm but wouldnt show. Then not hear from him for days. Due to my recent report from my inspection I will be moving from my home. This isnt the only issue we have. I will be looking up the owner of this property as well to place him on Angies list. He may be more professional when he isnt working for a "friend" but I was the one essentially paying for the furnace. He should have been smart enough to have realized that.

I returned home from a weekend trip and the heat was not working. I called John and he said he could be out within the hour. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, heat was back on.
