+ -1 moreThey have now finished the work (replication and installation) and Charles (the owner) did an outstanding job. The craftsmanship is amazing, right down to using quarter sawn white oak to match the original wood. In addition to the quality of work, I found Charles to be easy to work with, and responded to questions promptly. I would highly recommend Charles and his company for any custom woodworking project. I intend to use him again for other projects as we get to them (e.g. entertainment center and fireplace mantel).
Description of Work: As part of restoring an 1895 historic landmark house, about 50% of the banister and railing for the foyer stairway was unsalvageable. The banister had to be replicated to match the very intricate original woodwork. We got several bids, and ultimately hired this company to do the work. They were not the cheapest bid, but they were very reasonably priced.
