+ -1 moreIn the meantime, the insurance company has given up on Formation Roofing, and sent me a settlement check which is unlikely to be sufficient for the work. The lack of follow-up and professionalism on behalf of Mr. Underwood and his company has placed me in a very difficult position. This is the type of gratitude that this company has for customers that paid them handsomely for their roofs to begin with? I would recommend that anyone considering entering into a roofing arrangement with them carefully consider their other options. Very unprofessional and I would never do business with them again under any circumstance.
Description of Work: Chris Underwood, the proprietor was personally asked for a quote to replace my roof due to hail damage Formation Roofing did the original work. After a month of not responding to my phone calls or that of my insurance company. I am now forced to start the process with another company. Very unprofessional.

+ 0 moreThey did some extensive copper work, and replaced everything on our roof. Since they replaced it we have had no trouple. They wrapped it with an impermeable barrier before they shingled. They can do any roofing, but they definitely specialize with metal work. They were exceedingly thorogh, I've never seen anyone like them.

+ -1 moreI initially had them out to re-attach a fallen downspout that resulted from ice build-up. Once on site they noticed that the downspout had damage and called to see if I would like the damaged material replaced. They quoted me a price over the phone that I accepted, they returned to their shop for the needed materials and returned the same day to complete the re-attachment and repair. Chris, the owner, was communicative and responsive throughout the process. I would definitely consder him for future work.
Description of Work: I initially contracted with them for a downspout re-attachement, but ended up with a re-attachement and replacement.

+ -1 moreI called to get an estimate on repairs to my roof after the hailstorm in April. Initially, I got no return phone call. I called back and was able to arrange a time for an estimate. Chris came to my house and told me he would write up an estimate and send it to me. I never received the estimate. I called again asking for the estimate, and I received no return phone call or estimate.

+ -1 moreWe now after 20 years finally have a secure roof over our heads with out leaks even after the recent deluge of rain plus hail storms. The work was very professional and we are very satisfied with the end result. During the 2 yr. process to satisfactory completion, it was sometimes difficult to communicate with the company & Chris Underwood regarding our mutual understanding of the work to be completed. With persistence on our part, it was finally done. We highly recommend this company to any home owner with a ''high end'' house with a roof problem. The price that we paid for the work may seem high to some but the old adage is ''you get what you pay for.''
Description of Work: A 2 year project to initially repair and then ultimately tear off and replace a cedar shake roof on a 6000 sq. ft. custom built home including copper re-flashing of the valleys and around the chimney plus replacing the entire gutter system. The roof had been a serious and on going problem since construction in 1985 with various leaks due to poor workmanship. The original contractor declared bankruptcy 6 years after our house was built with still unresolved problems with the original roof. After that, we had tried to solve the problem by contacting various roofing companies including many ''highly rated'' by Angie's List. None were willing to take on the project. We discovered Formation Roofing after talking with friends & colleagues.
