+ -1 moreLuke did the project very quickly and did a very professional job. The decorative overlay was exactly what was presented and looks great! I would use them again and would consider them for any concrete project.
Description of Work: I had another Angie's List contractor apply a decorative concrete overlay to my front walk and entry way. It was done very poorly and I needed the project to be repaired as the original contractor wouldn't fix the problem. Luke removed the previous contractors work and installed a new overlay to the project area.

+ -1 moreI would not recommend him. The cement work was horrible. He charged me an additional $3000.00 to fix a mistake that he had made. They were not very considerate of my lawn. I would not use them in the future. The quality of their work was very bad.
Description of Work: He came to my house and poured some concrete in the back of my house and by the pool.

+ -1 moreHe made my parents partially pay him before they started working. This was supposed to be a gift for their wedding anniversary that I paying for and I was not able to be there when they started to pay him. They came very early in the morning and started pouring the concrete.
Description of Work: I used him previously to do a back patio for me. He did a decent job so I hired him to install a concrete patio for my parents. The patio started cracking almost immediately. He told us his guys must not have prepped it correctly and said he would come out and fix it. He tells us he will come and then never shows up. This has been going on since October. One person did show up in October, but said it was too big of a job for him to fix himself and left. He will not answer his phone or return phone calls.

+ -1 moreWE COULD NOT GET THEM BACK TO REPAIR MINOR DAMAGE. THE OWNER STATED THEY WOULD REPAIR THE DAMAGES. THEY DID NOT COVER SHRUBS AND WINDOWS AS THEY SHOULD HAVE.
Description of Work: POURED NEW SIDEWALK AND CONCRETE FROM FRONT DOOR TO DRIVEWAY. THEY ALSO TORE OUT THE OLD SIDEWALK.

+ -1 moreSO MANY PROBLEMS! THE WALKWAY IS UNEVEN. THE PORCH IS NOT LEVEL. THE SEALANT BUBBLED A DAY AFTER THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED--EVERYWHERE THE SUN HIT THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF BUBBLES. LUKE PROMISED HE'D FIX IT. THIS WAS DONE IN AUGUST 2002. LUKE SAID IT NEEDED TO SIT OVER THE WINTER AND THEN HE'D BE BACK. AFTER REPEATED CALLS IN THE SPRING OF 2003 HE SENT HIS WORKERS (DIDN'T FEEL THIS MESS WAS WORTH HIS TIME, EVIDENTLY). THEY HAVE TRIED AND TRIED TO RECOAT AND FIX THE PROBLEM AND JUST KEEP MAKING IT WORSE. HIS WORKERS OFTEN DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND COULDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTIONS WHEN THEY WERE HERE. AFTER INSISTING LUKE COME AND FIX THIS HE SHOWED UP BUT HE COULDN'T FIX IT EITHER. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE. OF COUSE HE WOULDN'T REFUND ANY OF MY MONEY SO I COULD USE IT TO FIND ANOTHER COMPANY WHO KNEW WHAT TO DO. IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE FOR US. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT THINGS TO BE DONE RIGHT AND DON'T WANT MAJOR HASSLES.
Description of Work: FORMED AND POURED A 10' X 40' FT FRONT PORCH WITH DYED STAMPED CONCRETE AND ALSO DID LONG WALKWAY FROM PORCH TO DRIVEWAY AND ALSO A SECOND STOOP AT SIDE DOOR.

+ -1 moreTHE QUALITY OF THE WORK DONE WAS AVERAGE. THE RESURFACING AND NEW CONCRETE ARE A STARK IMPROVEMENT. YET ATTENTION TO DETAIL, CLEAN-UP AND FOLLOW-UP WERE UNSATISFACTORY. ON THE LAST DAY OF THE JOB THE OWNER POINTED OUT A 1.5' DIAMETER NOTICEABLE CHUCK IN THE CONCRETE CAUSED WHEN ONE OF HIS MEN WAS REMOVING THE FORMS AROUND THE DECK. UPON HANDING OVER THE CHECK TO PAY THE BALANCE HE GUARANTEED HE WOULD BE BACK WITH COLOR MATCHED CONCRETE TO FIX IT. TWO WEEKS LATER I'M AM SURE I WILL NEVER HEAR FROM HIM AGAIN. I SHOPPED FOR THE ABSOLUTE LOWEST PRICE... I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR...
Description of Work: ADD 4 INCHES OF CONCRETE TO AN OLD IN-GROUND POOL DECK, REPLACE WALKWAY TO BACKYARD AND RESURFACE PATIO WITH TEXTURED CONCRETE / COLOR FINISH.

+ -1 moreTHE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE OUTSIDE WATER FAUCET BEING LEFT ON OVER NIGHT FROM THEIR TOOL CLEANUP. OTHERWISE THEY DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB.
Description of Work: POURED PATIO APPROXIMATELY 325 SF. THE PATIO WAS STAINED AND STAMPED IN A PENNSYLVANIA BLUE FIELDSTONE PATTERN. THE CREW WAS PROFESSIONAL FOR THE MOST PART AND WORKED HARD TO COMPLETE THE JOB IN 1.5 DAYS. THEY WERE VERY WILLING TO WORK WITH ME ON INSTALLING FENCE POSTS IN THE CONCRETE AS IT WAS POURED.
