Founded by Firefighters & Veteran Owned, Fire Dawgs Junk Removal provides award winning junk hauling and demolition services to Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. We clean out garages, basements and attics. We can help with hoarding situations, hot tub removal, swing set tear down, shed demolition and much, much more! Description of Work: I purchased the above hauling service after going on their site and seeing the amount of things that could be hauled. I sent emails to the proprietor to confirm what I understood to be what volume of the load.It turns out the volume is significantly less than I thought it was and would like to cancel this deal because we need a much bigger truck. We want to donate two rooms of furniture to Salvation Army and other items to a church, as we are downsizing, but it appears that will cost us a great deal to do it this way. I emailed the provider and found him (Bennett) to be very nice and quick to respond. I have no complaints about the company, though I think the ad could be interpreted in more than one way.

Description of Work: I spoke with the contact at Junk Dawgs. First, I couldn't find a date that would work for me. Also, the certificate would only cover the cost of hauling away 2 single mattresses, a dresser, and some chairs. I had a lot more stuff to haul, including a dining room table, an exercise machine, and a couch. I got a U-Haul and hauled it away myself for a lot less money.

I'm sorry to read that you were disappointed with our service. I understand it can be frustrating when the appointment time you are seeking is unavailable, but unfortunately we are still a smaller company for right now and therefore can only schedule what we have available. We also understand that it is cheaper for customers to "do-it-yourself" and we have no issues with that. One reason we offer our service is for when customers aren't in a "do-it-yourself" kind of mood. With that, you have to understand that to run a business we can't offer our service at the same price it costs you to do it yourself. To be a reputable, legitimate business we have to be licensed, carry business liability insurance, carry workman's comp insurance, carry insurance on our vehicles and that's before we leave the shop. Once we are called to perform a service, we have money wrapped up in fuel and have to pay two laborers to do the work. Our employees are screened, uniformed professionals and you have to pay employees like that a fair hourly wage. So, after the fees associated with fuel and labor, we still have to account for the disposal and recycling fees that are associated with the items needing removed. This is just a brief explanation into why we charge what we do. However, if you would care to discuss this further, I would be happy to speak with you personally and do what we can to make you a satisfied customer moving forward! Take care
