 + -1 moreThese items had been sitting for some time because I didn't have a good way to dispose of them. The service was excellent, prompt and courteous. Without being asked, they moved some items back into the shed that were moved out to get at the items to be taken. Their fee included a $50 surcharge for the lawn tractor but it was worth every penny. Great job!
Description of Work: Removed old lawn tractor, mower and rototiller plus an old leaf burner and some fencing.

Once the guy came out with the truck to get the boxes, he called to tell me it would cost far more than the quote. They were going to charge $450 to haul away my empty boxes. I did not purchase the service.

Description of Work: We were getting our home ready to sell and had cleared out trash and furniture we no longer wanted. They came on time, quickly loaded up the items and cleaned up after themselves. The were polite and very professional. We liked them so much we have them scheduled next week to haul the remainder of what we cannot move.

 + -1 moreThe three professional movers arrived punctually and discussed their approach prior to beginning to load our furnishings. Since we had already moved most of the smaller items, we knew that moving the heavier furniture would not take very long. They took great care with our belongings and had the truck loaded in approximately an hour. The trip between the two houses is quite short and the unloading process took under an hour. So, they were all finished (and our work had just begun) in under two hours. To say that we were satisfied with the entire moving process is an understatement! We were highly satisfied with the Moving Dawgs and would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We hired this company to move our larger, heavier furniture to our new home. We had received an Angie's List Big Deal offer email and decided to try them even though we were unfamiliar with them. The fact that they are former (and current) firefighters and veterans gave us a great deal of confidence that they would do a great job!

 + -1 moreI purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for movers for 2 hours which was a good deal to begin with. They ended up a little late due to the previous move lasting longer than anticipated, however, they called & kept me informed which worked out fine. They were up front with the pricing for time over the original contract time frame and whether or not additional packing measures were recommended/needed when I called to schedule their services. They were very efficient (sent 3 men) and very careful with both loading & delivering family antiques as well as being personable and going above & beyond to help. The company is owned by firefighters (I think) and hire only veterans/firefighters, which is something I whole-heartily endorse and am happy to support by hiring this company.
Description of Work: They were hired to move the household goods & furniture in a storage unit and deliver it to 2 locations in 2 different cities. The items included family antiques, clothes, furniture as well as a lot of miscellaneous items. They mentioned on the phone the possibility of wrapping the furniture in shrink wrap after being covered by moving blankets. When they saw the actual items and quantity, the recommended it wasn't really needed to save me money and I'd still get superb service. Three men and good sized truck arrived and loaded the items very quickly. They then delivered to the 1st location outside of Indy - even taking a few pieces upstairs w/out extra charge. Then they followed me to my home to deliver the balance of the items. All the men were careful and Nothing was scratched or damaged. I was happy to tip them all for a job well done.

The job was done efficiently and there was no mess left behind. This company offers a level of customer service that is almost impossible to find (especially without Angie's List). I will definitely use them again.

 + 0 moreThey were such a huge help to us! They were on time and got right to work. There were very large objects to move, such as a treadmill, elliptical machine, and pool table, to name a few. They were extremely hard-working and courteous. They got done in an hour what would have taken a whole week for us to do! They then were able to haul away lots of trash and things that we did not want to keep. The experience was so good that we are using their services again in a few days.
Description of Work: 2 workers came to our house and helped us move heavy and large objects from our basement to our 1st floor. They then hauled away the things we did not want to keep.

 + -1 moreFound Junk Dawgs on Angie's List. They had a $90.00 package (I think) for a certain volume of materials. I called and they came out promptly and on time. They said the tree waste was a bit more than the volume limit but they could do it. While they were here I asked about the old swing. They said they could take it also. So we agreed on a price of $130.00 for everything. They were prompt, responsive and professional. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I had removed several branches / limbs from a tree in the front yard and wanted to get rid of them. Also had an old outdoor swing my wife wanted to get rid of. They took both.

 + -1 moreAs started above, they did whatever they could do, as they could not do it all, since roof singles were dumper by David Wright, along with "stuff" he wanted to keep. David, supposedly, placed want he wanted to keep at the left side of the house.
Description of Work: I contacted them initially by phone from here in CA on 3/27/13. I sent them pictures sent to me by the Elwood Building and Panning Commission Inspector. We discussed what they could and could not haul away, and agreed on what services they would provide. I was in phone contact with them while on the job. They did what they could. The rest of the "junk", dumped by my prospective Lease-to-Own man, David Wright, was to take care of what was left.

Description of Work: I used the member's $50 off member's coupon and called last minute. They were able to let me fill a cancelled appointment. I pointed out what I wanted hauled away - mostly trash and old lumber throughout the yard. There were broken free weights, old chairs, broken cement flower pot and miscelaneous items. They did as much as they could until the truck (already partially full with items from a previous client) was full . They modified the price accordingly. They were 2 young gentlemen who worked quickly. They even took a couple of the newer lightbulbs that require special handling for disposal due to mercury content. They were very respectful. They were prompt. I have no complaints. I thought the price was a little high, but I am always surprised at what services cost. They seemed competetive with other hauling companies. I am already planning to use them again.

 + -1 moreVery quick maybe done in 20 minutes Called to say they were running late and had no idea what time they would be there but did arrive at the 2-3 pm time they originally had scheduled us for.
Description of Work: Big John and his associate (sorry forgot his name :( maybe Paul) were good. Got it done quickly, and professionally and even laughed at our jokes. The only thing we did NOT like was we were told they would look at the stuff we were getting rid of and then quote us, that was not done. All of our items were loaded in the truck and after they were almost completed I finally asked "how much is this going to cost us"? They actually quoted us for a 3/4 truck which was not even close to what we had, and then I had to point out to him that there were items in the truck including a huge refridgerator so they adjusted the load amount, duh! We had no large items other than a queen size matress, most of it was broken down furniture and we had it all sitting in our garage waiting for them. The only thing they had to do was take the pieces from our garage to their truck, and didn't have to come in our home to take anything out. Julie Sheehan

 + -1 moreMorris There was a misunderstanding in that I had ordered a full truckload capability and the truck (nice looking and well configured for the work) showed up pretty full. The guys took what they could and we rescheduled. Both crews were very professional and they do in fact do a great job of cramming stuff into the truck. The miscue was really no big deal and overall I am pleased and relieved to gave the junk out of the way! The guys are all veterans as near as I can tell and I'm happy to have given them the work and I also understand they donate goods in good condition to Goodwill and others. That entered into my decision to use them.
Description of Work: I had them haul off junk from an attic and detached garage.
