 + -1 moreHe ran a new line from panel in garage up through garage attic down through side wall within garage - probably about 40 feet of cable (which is around $1.80/ft). Used Angie's list quote service (which I probably won't use again in the future as it's broken in more ways than one. but that's another story). Jeff at Epic was fantastic. Let me know promptly that he was running late because of an accident on the highway. Two of them showed up and knocked the job out quickly and professionally leaving a perfect install.
Description of Work: Installed new 50amp outlet in garage for electric car charger - using 6 gauge wire so higher power charger can be used in future if necessary.

 + -1 moreWe have used Jeff and his son many times over the last 8 years to perform a variety of electrical projects at our home. We have had them install recessed lighting, a roof fan, rewire the basement, cable outlets, relocate outlets and many other projects. I recently contacted Jeff to give me a estimate on several small projects around the house, and he remembered me, our home, and the work he has done for us in spite of the fact that it has been at least three years since our last project. Jeff showed up on time as always, gave me several options for what we needed done, and provided me with a timely and professional quote. When your home is almost 90 years old, you must have a group of contractors you can trust, and Jeff is certainly one we can count on.
Description of Work: Scheduling new bathroom ceiling fan, bedroom lights and garage floodlights.

 + -1 moreJeff and his son were wonderful. They worked very hard to make sure all the details were perfect. They show up on time and are very nice people. I will call them in the future for any electrical work I need done. I would feel very safe knowing they were at my home while I was at work. I don't know the price they charged because this was part of a general contractors job.
Description of Work: Hung two chandeliers, took down a fluorescent kitchen ceiling fixture, moved over and hung two pendants over the island, put in two dimmer switches and replaced a can light fixture over the sink.

 + -1 moreJeff rescheduled several visits during the process of completing the work . Jeff came while Pioneer Kitchens was here and was not productive ( although he did learn were the outlets needed to be placed) . He was thoughtful and concerned about were to place the new can lights in the kitchen. I called Pioneer Kitchens so Jeff could obtain further information about the placement of the island therefore, it was beneficial information for the placement of the lights. I felt the work could have been completed in fewer visits. Jeff asked multiple times if I wanted the can lights in the bathrooms changed. The work required Jeff and Steve to enter the basement crawl space- the wood board , cover was not replaced . Found screws and nails in driveway and street where he and son had parked . Jeff had given estimate for a ceiling fan replacement- informed him I did not want to do at this time - Jeff stated it would be a higher price if he had to come all the way here again.
Description of Work: Jeff Johnson provided a detailed estimate per e-mail in a timely manner. He and his son, Steve made multiple visits to our home to relocate electrical outlets in the kitchen due to a remodel . Also removed fixture from the ceiling. Installed new outlet in the garage. Installed new exhaust fan covers for three bathrooms and replaced can light fixtures. Added new can lights in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Owner Jeff Johnson was recommended to us by Pioneer Kitchen. He quickly came to the house to examine the necessary changes and made great suggestions. Jeff and son Steve arrived on day one of the installation at the appointed time and set to work amongst the Pioneer Kitchen carpenters with seamless interaction. They work together often I was told and it was obvious that they had an easy profession and personal repor. Jeff and Steve did the necessary pre installation work and explained that they would be back to finish when the cabinets and tile were installed. Again, the arrival time was spot on. Steve returned to add new outlets and under-cabinet lighting. Once again, it was a wonderful job. He was very careful around my new countertop and tile, protecting everything with tarps. He even dusted off the cabinets when finished. An extra bonus is that he rewired an outdated wall telephone plug, replacing it with a new version that looks fantastic. We had not know that was possible so hadn't asked for that. Steve had the right plug for the job with him, made the adjustments necessary, which included drilling into the new tile and finished off the job by being sure the switch plates were all level. Fantastic! It looked as if he hadn't been here when he left which is something I appreciate. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

 + -1 moreI have used them several times and they are outstanding. They are really far and above everybody else. I basically had all of the electrical done inside of my house and I have had new service done outside. He was considerably less expensive than everybody else. He was actually licensed by the city and was honest about that. He did a really outstanding job for far less money. I would highly recommend them. I have had them do work at my grandmothers house and my house. He definitely gets my recommendation. I have not had to have Jeff come back out. He does things right.

They didn't do anything that they didn't say they were going to do, and there have been no problems after the work was done. I would recommend them to anyone, and I would use them again.

They were very flexible with delays on other parts of the kitchen that held up the completion of their work. They did quality work, making sure everything was just right. They were very diligent to consult me on any decisions and were helpful to advise in the process. They thoroughly thought through all the changes to make sure they would work and that light switches were appropriately ordered, located, etc.
Description of Work: Jeff and Steve did all the wiring for our kitchen remodel. It involved moving switches, relocating light fixtures, running new wires for new appliances, lights, etc. and setting up a subpanel for our ovens.

Description of Work: They moved a light in a 20' ceiling for us and installed four new canned lights. They installed a couple ceiling fans and fixed some lights that we were having issues with. They also ran new cable wires so that we could install a flat-screen television.

 + -1 moreSteve came out several times during my recent remodeling. It was necessary for him to get into our crawl space and basement, and work with tricky wiring. Our house is 110 years old and very hard to update due to the structure-which seems to have been added on to by various owners over the past century. I'm very pleased with Steve's work, he has done an excellent job. Especially of note is that I asked Steve about replacing some track lighting-thinking I would hire him to do it for me. Instead, he climbed up on a ladder, removed one of the lights and showed me in detail what I needed to do to replace the lights myself. I consider that to be exceptional honesty and integrity on his part and thanks to his advice I was able to replace the lights myself with no problem.
Description of Work: The company has done extensive electric wiring for me beginning in December of last year. Included: rewiring, moving cables, putting in new boxes, installing lights, moving phone lines, replacing fixtures, installation of bathroom fan and vent.

 + -1 moreJEFF KNOWS HIS CRAFT, AS DO HIS EMPLOYEES. WORK IS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER AND THEY CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS. THEY ALSO DID $1,200 OF ELECTRICAL WORK WHEN I REMODELED MY KITCHEN IN LATE 2002/EARLY 2003. I AM REALLY ENJOYING THE LIGHTING IN MY KITCHEN!
Description of Work: ONE CHANDELIER FIXTURE REMOVED AND NEW FIXTURE INSTALLED. TWO CEILING FANS INSTALLED (ONE HAD TO BE PUT TOGETHER FROM THE BOX) AND NEW WIRING TO THE NEW LOCATION FOR THE OTHER CEILING FAN.
