Description of Work: They have not finished the job. They installed flooring in the bathroom back in July 2016 and I can't get any one to come out and finish the work. I do not recommend using this company. I have used them two times to install carpet also and two times they have canceled my order for no reason. I guess I am not one of there 2 million satisfied customers. Highly not recommended.

Description of Work: Salesman came to the house and I picked out the half price carpet for one room. We scheduled the installation for a few days later. I took vacation day and cleared out stuff from the room. Installers did not come that day. They rescheduled for the next day without notifying me. I took another vacation day. Installers did NOT show up again. I canceled my order and they are sending me a refund. I am out vacation days for nothing. Would not use this company again.

Description of Work: Very pushy saleswoman. Talked me into a "high quality" wood flooring that has turned out to be cheap, buckles, and is very easily scratched and damaged. I also had carpet installed. Carpet is fine but installed poorly. It's pulling up at the edges/wall. I've tried to call several times to get them to fix the flooring with no luck. I finally gave up but will NEVER use them again.

Description of Work: We contacted Empire to have our carpet replaced and the transition strip between the replaced carpet and laminate flooring replaced. Scheduling the appointment was easy. On Feb. 20, 2015, the crew came to replace the carpet and did not have the transition strip. They said they knew nothing about it. The carpet was replaced and another crew came on Sat. Feb. 21, 2015 to replace the transition strip. They pulled up our transition strip, which led to is becoming more damage, and then they realized that they didn't have the right size. They laid the damage strip back down and left. Next week another crew came and didn't have the right size either. They were supposed to call us back to schedule a time to replace it and didn't. We called customer service and they called the crew manager. He sent another crew. They came and then went to Lowe's and Home Depot to find a strip and said they could find the right size. They requested Empire to have a custom one made. We have called literally 2-3 times a week and still no one can tell us when the custom made strip will be ready. In the meanwhile, we have a broken strip that is not attached to the floor and is a hazard to our family. We will not recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Just had an estimate cost for vinyl for two bathrooms far exceeded what I thought the costs should be. What I got annoyed is that they quoted one figure then offered to sell it at a lower price--why not just offer the best price in the first place? I am not buying a car (and that process annoys me as well). just flooring.

Description of Work: The guy came to my house and gave me a price. But when the workers showed up to install the carpet, they wanted the payment up front. I cancelled the service at that point because I did not want to pay upfront. They eventually refunded my downpayment.

I HAVE HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH THEM RETURNING CALLS AND SHOWING UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY SAID THEY WERE TAKING OFF $200.00 BUT WHEN I GOT THE FINANCING IT WAS NOT CORRECTED. I HAVE LEFT MANY MESSAGES WITH HIM AND HE DOES NOT RETURN MY PHONE CALLS.

I WOULD LIKE EMPIRE TO FOOT THE BILL, NOT MYSELF, SINCE IT WAS THEIR EMPLOYEE WHO CAUSED OR STARTED THE CAUSE OF ALL THE DAMAGES.
Description of Work: INSTALLED CARPET IN 3 ROOMS AND A STAIR CASE. IN TURN, THEY DID $10,000 WORTH OF DAMAGES. THE INSTALLER USED MY RESTROOM AND STOPPED UP THE TOILET AND IT BACK-FILLED AND RAN ONTO THE FLOOR, CAUSING FLOODING, WHICH CAUSED SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS OF DAMAGES AND RUINED THE CARPETING. I TURNED THE ISSUES INTO MY HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE, AND THEY TURNED IT INTO THE INSTALLER'S INSURANCE COMPANY. HIS COMPANY DENIED THE CLAIM, BECAUSE I COULD NOT PROVE THAT THE INSTALLER USED THE RESTROOM. I WAS COMPENSATED FROM THE HOMEOWNER INSURANCE. EMPIRE IS STILL WANTING THE BALANCE, EVEN THOUGH THE CARPET WAS DAMAGED.

WE ORDERED THE CARPET. THEY SIGNIFICANTLY UNDERESTIMATED THE TIME IT WOULD TAKE. THEY ARRIVED FOUR HOURS LATE (WITH NO CALL), THEY HAD TO COME BACK EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD US IT ORIGINALLY WOULD DONE IN ONE DAY. THEY NEEDED TO GET MORE CARPET, AND ARRIVED 3 HOURS LATE THE NEXT TIME. THEY STILL HAD TOO LITTLE CARPET, AND HAD TO ORDER MORE. WHEN THAT CARPET ARRIVED, IT WAS THE WRONG COLOR. THEY EVENTUALLY BROUGHT IN A DIFFERENT CREW THAT WAS UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND I WOULD NOT HAVE THEM NEAR MY HOME AGAIN. THE MANAGER MADE SOME SMALL ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES, BUT I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE.
