Description of Work: I bought the Big Deal for a chimney sweep and inspection for $99. He was about a 1/2 hour to an hour late, but I called the office, and they confirmed he was coming and gave me a time frame to expect him. He was very nice and respectful. We just moved to our home in May and have never had a fireplace before, so he was very informative and taught me all about how to use the fireplace properly and how to properly start a fire. I thought we needed some tuckpointing done, and I expected him to give me an estimate to return and do the work, but he quickly filled in the gaps and just charged $50 extra for it. He even got a fire going for me before he left, which was extremely helpful. We'll definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: They performed a fireplace and chimney inspection. After paying for the service through your site we called several days for scheduling with no returned call. We drove to their location only to find them closed. They called back a week later.

Description of Work: The work was done on a rental condo and they were 1.5 hours late. Since they used a vac, it was not obvious how much material they took out of the chimney. |Also, after i purchased the deal from Angie's, I did not hear from them for two weeks. When i responded to am email sent by Angie's someone from Angie's called me and they eventually contacted the company and had them call me to make an appointment. The only reason i may use them is because of the price and i see that they have raised it.

Description of Work: Upon inspection of the chimney, we were informed that the caps from the manufacturer of our fireplace had been discontinued 10 years ago and after a nationwide search, none could be found. Therefore the service could not be performed.

Description of Work: Late coming every day, left early, ran out of supplies, dropped brick on my roof. They had to come back out to repair my flashing on my chimney. Owner not very helpful. I just gave up trying to get them to fix my roof where they damaged it!

Description of Work: There were two (2) homes and one chimney in each home that was "inspected". The technician arrived on time and took a total of 15 minutes to "clean and inspect" the chimneys in each house. |Now, I understand travel time (portal to portal) in these times of missed appointments by the customer. I may have expected a little more than the 15 minutes to sweep the chimney. The one chimney in my mother's house (the second call) had a chimney fire about five days after the visit. It was easily extinguished but made us wonder what had been knocked loose but not removed from the chimney. That chimney had had a fire in it every day for the winter of 2012-2013. So there was an accumulation of "stuff" in the chimney. |All that said I may have misunderstood what was entailed for the special. I fully expected a cursory inspection and it more needed to be done then an estimate would have been provided. We received no written report as to the condition of the chimneys nor did we receive any comments from the technician other than the damper in one chimney had some creosote or other material obstructing it on the left side so it might not open completely.
