It went fine. They did the work promptly at a reasonable price.

They scheduled within a reasonable amount of time, conducted the inspection, cleaned the chimney box, and provided several tips for first time fireplace users. Service provider was very pleasant, helpful and clean. Overall a nice, satisfactory experience. We will use them again.

They did a great job and communicated well. The sweep was took his time and did a good write up. The only bad thing was finding out exactly how bad of a state the chimney was in. We bought the house bank owned and I had a pretty good idea, but it was even a little worse off than that. I have used them in the past and will most likely be using them for performing the repair work (tuck point, small crack in cap, cracked fire bricks, replace missing damper) with them and hope to write another glowing review for them.

The gentleman who came to clean our chimney was very professional and polite. He cleaned our chimney and left my home exactly the way he found it. I would highly recommend their services.

The inspection was fine.

There were some delays in the manufacturer getting the insert we ordered to the provider, and we eventually expressed some concern to them regarding the forecast of a major winter storm for the Indianapolis area, along with our wish to have the fireplace up and running prior to the storm in case we lost power. They were always responsive to our e-mails and addressed all concerns that we had. They came out the day before the winter storm was supposed to hit and installed both the fireplace insert and the new liner, at a substantially lower cost than we were quoted from a competitor. They were all extremely nice, polite, and professional. The next day the winter storm hit and, sure enough, we lost power for two days. We were able to heat our entire house for those two days despite the subzero temperatures outside. I have a lot of respect for this company and the people that work there, and they have a customer for life with us.

It was great! The person who came out was really, really helpful in explaining. He answered all my questions. If I decide to go through with the suggestions – they would be the first ones I would call.

Great experience, no problems. Took about 30-40 minutes. Got a printed copy of possible issues, things to watch for down the road.

Nothing gripes me more than to be put on hold and forgotten. I contacted this company this morning over the phone. I gave basic information to the woman answering the phone. She then asked if she could put me on hold and I agreed. But to me that is a maximum of 30 seconds. Instead this went on for several minutes until I hung up. You get one shot at this people. And you failed....I went elsewhere for repairs to my chimney

I paid for service on March 26th on my bank debit card. I have not been contacted by anyone from Ely Stokes, nor have they provided any service. No one from Angie's List has checked with me either. I would like the service to be performed as promised at the price I paid, $99.00.

Ely stokes did a great job. He was informative, helpful and professional. I recommend them and will call again.

I purchased a Deal on Angie's list for chimney sweep services. I received a call to set up the service and I think it was rescheduled once due to the holidays and the winter weather. The technician showed up on time and cleaned the chimney. It was a basic cleaning and it was done very neatly with no mess to clean up afterwards. I was given advice on some additional products to buy (lava rock and glowing embers) since it is a gas fireplace. The technician also looked at the outside of the chimney which he said needed repair and an estimate would be sent. I did not receive the estimate.

Came a little late, but called ahead to ask/inform us. Service very quick, left no mess, very polite and professional. No complaints. They also offer dryer vent cleaning, which we may utilize next time.

The most polite, group of workers I have ever had. Wasted no time...cleaned up...followed up! Chimney brick matches old brick...superior masonry. Very respectful of yard and landscaping. We were delayed all winter due to the weather...kept in touch with me through the process.

He did what he was supposed to do. He inspected and made sure everything was okay and told us what needed to be looked at or worked on

The person who did the work seemed to do a thorough job. He told me that the flu liner was deteriorating and would need to be replaced. He got up on the roof and inspected the chimney as well. He said the mortar between the bricks was deteriorating as well and needed to be tuck pointed. He suggested that a ventless gas log set would save us a great deal of money if we were interested in going that route. I was very interested and he told me he would have the proper person call me from his office. He didn't have the knowledge of sales. I waited approx. a week. When I had not heard from the company, I called to inquire. I thought maybe the request had gotten lost. I spoke to the owner who assured me he would look at the report from the inspection and work up an estimate for me. I've never heard another word. I'm disappointed in this because I was impressed with the service and was anxious to take care of the problems.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went fine. There were no additional charges. They were on time and easy to reach. They did everything as promised. They couldn't have done any better.

The service appointment was very quick but the chimney may have been ok since this was the first winter I have owned the home. I don't really know enough about the process to truly rate the service but I was given the ok to burn for the winter which is all I needed.

Two representatives came to my home at the time agreed and provided chimney sweep services which includes an inspection of the chimney in addition to cleaning. I had asked if their chimney inspection included an inspection from the roof top in addition from the firebox upward. They assured me that they would inspect the chimney from the top down. I went out side to observe the inspection on the roof and was disappointed to see that although he did go up on the roof he stood on the other side of the roof ridge and observed the chimney from approximately 50 foot away. He did not walk over to the chimney and inspect it up close. He did not inspect the inside of the chimney from the top. They assured me they could see well enough from the bottom up. I believe the inspection should have been made up close at the top, both exterior and interior of the chimney. Therefore, I was disappointed.

They were very flexible since we were working long distance (Indianapolis to Cincinnati) and the weather did not cooperate.

All went well. This was the first time we used this provider, but were very pleased and will use them when needed again.
