1. Chimney cleaning was well done; the young man who cleaned my chimney was super-nice and very professional 2. Quoted price for masonry work was much too high 3. Follow up conversations with owner were promised, but did not happen; called me once when I was in a meeting; she said she would call back; she never called back

It went very well. They were late. They were supposed to be at my residence between 9 and 10. They called at 9:40 and said they would be late and arrived about 10:20. The service person was professional, polite and knowledgeable. The work was finished in a timely manner.

Excellent. Purchased deal and they called immediately to schedule. Arrived on time, very efficient, and cleaned up entire area at the end.

I think everything went just fine. I think the price was competitive. They had a lot of good reviews on Angie's List and I think there might have been a Big Deal as well.

The young man that came out did not appear to understand or be knowledgeable in how to properly assess the functionality of our gas log. We explained that we have little to no control over the flame and that we felt the gas valve was not functioning properly. He moved some wires around and said we might have a bad electrical connect. He started the flame and demonstrated that there was in fact change in the flame as he turned the gas control knob. The flame is no where near what it was when new (Some 13 years ago). But he assured us it was working properly and did not need anything. He then left. I had expected he would have taken the glass door off and possibly checked the firebox and the gas log. Additionally we had expected there would be a possibility of replacing the gas valve, but he indicated they would have to replace the entire insert. I felt nothing was accomplished and we still feel the unit is not operating correctly.

Process of deciding on type of fireplace conversion product is detailed. We were well helped through the process by both Tech and sales people. We are very satisfied with this Company.

Technician seemed knowledgeable and explained at length what had to be done, but was not tidy. He removed everything from the front of the fireplace but did not replace it. I have a broken ankle, so this was problematic for me.

It was really good. I really liked what they did for me. They were very professional and knew what they were doing so that was very helpful. The original price was $129 but I got a discount through Angies List.

The guy who came did a wonderful job. He was extremely nice and answered all my questions. He showed me how to take the glass off to clean it and how to adjust the flame. The fireplace looks like new! He did a great job. I highly recommend this company!!!

I called to get a quote on repairing or replacing the chimney fan on my fireplace. Even though I wanted to wait to get the fireplace cleaned when the fan was fixed, they told me that I needed to get it cleaned at the time of the quote. Very quick cleaning was done and I was told that they would email me with the quote on the fan - as well as two other expensive items that they suggested. I have called three times and was told that the quote would be coming within the next day. It has now been 2 months. I feel conned since they charged me for the cleaning, but never actually provided any estimate for the work that I called about.

We purchased one of their Deals and were able to get the service scheduled promptly. Every person we interacted with was polite and professional. He left no evidence of being here after performing a service like this, which is greatly appreciated. Also provided us with photos and a price to repair some areas of concern regarding our chimney cap.

It didn't! It all started on June 5, 2017; and ended this morning - July 27, 2017. I initially called and the same day sent pictures...someone came out and took more pictures...discussed what needed to be done, and it's as if they fell off the face of the earth. I emailed back a few days ago and inquired. Stephanie said the estimate would be emailed the following morning. NOT! There are several other "A" outfits. I've started at the top.

New gas unit installed. Beautiful. Company was easy to work with; professional and responsive.

They cleaned my chimney, as requested -- spending MAYBE 15 minutes on the task at the most. I requested an estimate on some brick replacement, but never received the estimate. There was an active Angie's list coupon at the time, but no mention was made of it -- I probably would have been a customer for life if they had brought that up!

They arrived when they said they would to inspect what needed to be done and checked things out and told us they would get the quote to us by the next Tuesday. (This is reflected by the A ratings I gave.) That was 3 to 4 weeks ago and we are still waiting on the quote! Needless to say the work was not done and won't be done

John was running late and called to let me know, but there was a slight mix up in communication since John did not have my correct cell phone number and address of service, but we got it straightened out and I received the camera inspection and cleaning per the Big Deal. The fireplace is old and we have never used it since buying the house last year.. John was very knowledgeable and patient to educate me and explain my options with estimates of pricing on what could be done to make the fireplace operational via parging or adding a stove insert . He also checked the flu from the furnace and said it was safely installed. As well he also replaced a bolt on my damper and gave me recommendations on how to secure it more substantially. I felt John was honest and helpful. I do not plan to use the fireplace, but wanted to wanted to know what the problems were and my options for the future. I was very satisfied with the visit.

John, James and Zach did an amazing job installing a Napolean direct vent gas fireplace into my existing fireplace. My house was built in 1921 so this enabled me to have a working fireplace without having to restore my firebox and smoke chamber walls. Their professionalism and workmanship was excellent. I wanted a riser added to gain a little height to the fireplace and they worked hard to make sure it was perfectly level. I would highly recommend Ely Stokes for a direct vent fireplace installation.
