The provider declined the job as I am out of their service area.

I send a message via angies list to the provider on 06/30 to ask for a quote A replay came on the angie's list site that they would be out on the 7th at 11 The man arrived on time and was professional. He looked over the work I wanted done then said he would check the top of the chimney He showed me photos of cracks up top that needed addressed. He said they would email me a quote in a day or two. one the 20th (yes 13 days later) I called to ask about my quote. the woman said she would look into where it went then send me one out right away. well today the 21st at after 11 am I still do not have a quote worst thing (which COULD be a coincidence) is now I have a leak inside my chimney when it rains. I had not noticed one before and now I can hear water splashing inside when it rains. apparently they don't want my money since they have yet to give me a quote. I would not call them again for work, mostly due to the lack of response for a quote. While I do not think the man did anything TO the top of my chimney, bad luck on his part that now I get a stream of water inside it when it rains. edit to update: the second company that came out believes the leak is coming from the slanted shoulder of the chimney which says to me that this person DID NOTHING to cause it. While I did not think he did in the first place, it was an ugly coincidence. I did get a quote, though it was incomplete. There was NOTHING about replacing the damaged bricks which is the reason I called them out. Only pricing was cleaning and sealing. I replied that it did not have this information and their reply was they would get it out to me. As of today still no complete quote for the work. I should have a quote from the other company by Friday.

The service was okay but the communication was not completed. The problem was that the deal that I got, they will contact me within 48 hours or something and it was already a week enough so I had to call them. When I called them they said that they will call me back and then I finally got a hold of somebody one day and got it scheduled. The service was fine and then when they were done I asked them to email me for a quote for another work I wanted done but I never heard anything from them. They did not charge me more than the $99 big deal and they came weeks after the purchase of the big deal.

The sweep arrived on time, got the job done quickly and professionally. The rooms in which he worked were left clean and soot free. Good job.

Service went great. My wife was there when they performed the cleaning, and she said everything went well. They even recommended fixing a safety hazard they noticed during the cleaning.

Excellent - showed up on time and provided detailed review of our fireplace and gas insert. Bled the line and got the pilot restarted and inspected the chimney and found everything in clean order. Very honest and easy to deal with. Also responsive to all of our question and time constraints.

Went well. Was not able to be there so never directly talked to tech. Would have liked to talk to him in person. He left a report.

Had a little trouble getting phone calls returned, but after initial contact very responsive. Rob made good impression as knowledgeable. Called them after paying deposit after 5 weeks. Apologetic. Set date for June 1, but they called 5/28 to come early because the weather was good. They worked all day and completed chimney. It looks awesome. They cleaned up well.

This was a Angies big deal for $99 I was to get $200 worth of work The gentleman was on time and courteous did a quick overview got his shopvac and vacuumed the logs noticed the flue was off track and fixed that he was in and out in 15 minutes. If that's what you get for $200 dollars worth of work that its greatly over priced. I thought they would let me know what the general condition of the Chimney was including the build up of creosote. Also I thought the logs would also be cleaned of soot. Basically they didn't do anything I couldn't have done myself.

Try to sell me something else.

Rob was very nice and kept the carpet near the stove very clean. He also did an excellent job in finding additional issues with my chimney, which I suspected had a serious water issue. He found that the cap was rusted through in two places (we had just moved in a few days earlier and it was missed on inspection). Rob also did an excellent job in replacing the cap, and alerted us to flashing issues around the chimney, which were causing additional water issues (inspector missed that too). A roofing company is correcting the flashing. Overall, I was very happy with Ely Stokes and would recommend them.

The chimney was cleaned. An inspection suggested that some work needed to be done.

It was recently good. they came and did the service they're supposed to follow up and didn't ever follow up. I never heard back. It wasn't a huge deal and I didn't follow up with them but you know, when someone tells you they'd call back, you want them to call back but he did what he's supposed to do. I think there was another side. I think he was supposed to bill me for something extra for something that they did, that's part of an extra following up but they never billed me so were both ways. They came fairly quick.

The provider came and looked at the job. They provided me with an estimate for the service I would need done. The estimate was around $1500. I declined the service at the time of the appointment.

It was a good experience. I learned more about our fireplace. We feel confident having a fire now.

My fireplace looks like new again. Plus, he took the time to show me how to completely shut it off, and start it back up again so that I was comfortable with the process.

He did fine but he wanted to sell me all kinds of other services. I may have needed them but right now I'm not ready to make that commitment. He did a very nice job and very informative.

I wasn't too happy with them. They came out within two weeks. He didn't put the gas logs in correctly and they were being burned by the gas flame. There were no additional charges and I have not called them back. I had somebody else take a look at it after that. I did not want to use them again. They were timely, but there were more problems after they left than there were before they came. Pricing wise it was excellent. I would not use them again.

The technician Robert Cheney was excellent. Very personable and quite knowledgeable of gas fireplaces. He was professional, answered all our questions and was apparent he has many years experience in this field.

He completed the job quickly and did not leave a mess

It went fine. Service performed as expected.
