Edible Arrangements

My boyfriend ordered me chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day, along with a stuffed animal to be delivered to my job. Very cute, right? I work for an establishment where I provide customer service to clients. When the delivery man arrived with the delivery, although I did appreciate the thought, I was assisting a customer, so I had to ask him to set it down. He needed a signature, understandable, so I excused myself from the client to sign for the package. Now, working in retail on a Saturday, the Saturday the day before Valentine's Day, you're probably going to be very busy. I understand that. I was busy as well. The problem in this situation was that the delivery man also had a delivery for another person in the store. We have around 100 employees at our location, and i don't know everyone. He asked me where the person was, and I said I'm sorry I'm not sure who that is and I have to finish assisting my client. He then stated that he was very busy and he did not have time to run around the store looking for people. So to me, it seemed like he wanted me to either deliver the package to her or track her down myself. So even though I think Valentine's Day is way out of control and it's ridiculous to pay $80 to have some strawberries delievered to you, that's besides the point. My complaint here is that if you are delivering a Valentine's Day message to someone, at least act pleasant, and maybe come up with some sort of system so you know where to take deliveries. I'm sure this isn't the first year they have been open during Valentine's Day, I would think some kind system would be in place. I get you're working and probably have a bunch more to deliver, but I'm working too and I still have to attend to my clients as well. I don't feel as if it is my responsibility to do your job as well.
