Description of Work: On June 29th at 10:40 I watched Ed Gregg's white van speed through our Irvington neighborhood at Graham Avenue & Pleasant Run Pkw. I watched him run through a stop sign and not slow down a bit. Our neighborhood is full of bikers, little kids, and dog walkers. I wouldn't want him to do business in my neighborhood again. Would you want him on your block?

Very well!
Description of Work: Water heating began leaking early in the morning. Called Gregg's Plumbing per recommendation of neighbor. Plumber arrived within 2 hours of call and had water heater replaced quickly. In comparing prices with other companies, pricing was very competitive. Plumber was polite. Since utilizing Gregg's, we have used several times to replace sink and faucet in our kitchen. EXCELLENT and DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

The installation was good; the installers were clean, polite, etc. The water heater started leaking on 07/31/2010. Initially I thought it was out of warranty, so I made arrangements with another contractor to have a larger water heater and a different brand installed on 08/03/2010. When I researched my records and realized it was still under warranty, on 08/03/2010 I called Gregg's (in accordance with A.O. Smith's warranty instructions), to get a warranty replacement water heater, with the intention of holding it for our son and his wife. Kathy took my information. Ed called a couple of hours later to arrange for one of their plumbers to come check the old unit. I explained the situation and told him that the old unit was already drained and in our garage. He said he didn't know why he was asked to call me. As I tried to explain the situation, the line went dead. I called back, got a recording, and left a message for him to call, thinking we had been cut off. When I didn't hear back, I called again on 08/05/2010. Kathy said they would not help me obtain a warranty replacement unless they provided the new unit and installed it. I said it would have been nice if Ed had told me that to start with. She said he did. I said that no, he didn't, and that I suspected he had hung up on me when I told him the unit was already drained and someone else was doing the work. That is no way to run a business. I would never call them to have work done
Description of Work: On 10/01/2004, Gregg's provided and installed a 50-gallon A.O. Smith gas water heater under a Home Buyers Warranty.

Customer replaced his own water heater. Customer had old unit sitting in garage. This was a A.O. Smith water heater. Customer wanted Gregg's plumbing to contact A.O. Smith and state the water heater was leaking. Gregg's plumbing could not state this, because the customer had water heater drained and sitting in garage. So we were unable to test water heater to be covered under warranty. Told customer we had to see prior to replacing water heater actually leaking, before we could truthfully tell A.O Smith there was a problem.

The work did not go very well. I paid for it as part of the mortgage with my home. We still were not getting water through the house. I called him out for a service call, but it never did get fixed. They should have not charged me for the service call, since it was their work to begin with. They sent me a bill, took me to small claims court, and I won.

GREGG'S DID REPLACE A JET PUMP FOR THIS MEMBER. HE DID CALL & SAY THERE WAS A LEAK. WE WENT AND REPAIRED IT. WE WERE CALLED BECAUSE OF NO WATER & THE PROBLEMS WERE THE FIXTURES & PIPING. THE WELL WAS WORKING. HE SAID THAT HE KNEW HOW TO PLUM & WOULD DO THE WORK HIMSELF. WE DID SEND HIM A BILL FOR CLEANING IRON OUT OF FAUCETS & REPAIRING THE TOILET. WE NEVER GOT PAID AND DID GO TO COURT. THE JUDGE SAID WE NEEDED TO SUE THE REALTOR. BECAUSE THE MEMBER DID NOT HAVE POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY YET.

Installed a washer drain pan for overflows. The pan leaks whenever anything is poured in to it. I noticed the leak 4-5 months after the install. They would not come out to fix it after I called them about it. I ended up fixing the leak with a another gentlemen. The thought they had with the original install was horrible. There was no way it was not going to leak from the get-go. I wish I had been there when they originally worked on it because it was just a poor idea from the beginning.

WE REPLACED A WATER HEATER FOR THIS MEMBER THROUGH HIS HOME WARRANTY COMPANY. HE PAID A $50.00 DOLLAR DEDUCTIBLE. SO, WE DON'T KNOW WHY HE IS STATING WE TRIED TO CHARGE MORE. BECAUSE WE DIDN'T GIVE HIM AN ESTIMATE. THE HOME WARRANTY COMPANY HAS SET PRICE GUIDES THAT THEY FOLLOW. THEY PAY USE BASED ON THOSE PRICE GUIDES. GREGG'S PLUMBING DOES NOT CONTROL WHAT THE HOME WARRANTY COMPANY PRICE GUIDES ARE OR WHAT THEY PAY FOR THE WORK WE PERFORM.

There were three workers that showed up. We were getting a sewer smell in our living room that started when we had a new furnace put in, but not the one we have now. This was the first time we used them but we had spent a lot of money trying to figure out what the smell was and we would use him again if it is this kind of work.
Description of Work: We were looking for an oder that was coming into the house. They ran three smoke bombs into the pipes, then they changed some pipes in the house. They did a lot of work for us. It ended up being the drain in the crawl space was not hooked up correctly.
