Eagle Creek Nursery & Landscape

Eagle Creek Nursery is my go to source for mature healthy plants. Dennis did a fantastic job designing our landscape plan. The plants chosen mesh very well together. Our landscaping looks incredible. They were very busy when we wanted to have our project performed so I suggest planning at least 3-4 weeks lead time for a large project to get installed. Despite the large lead time, they showed up on the exact day that they said they would be there. The install crew prepared all of our landscape beds. Dennis, the designer showed up to spray paint exact dimensions. The install crew also installed 4 large trees. I am very happy with the service we received. Eagle Creek's pricing is just a little bit higher than some competitors. In my opinion, it is money well spent. One other thing to note is that their staff is VERY knowledgeable. They seem to have backgrounds or higher education degrees in the plant world. It really helped to talk to people that knew their stuff.

It was very good. I met with Charlie to discuss the location of the plants. He was very helpful and gave me good info and advice. They contacted the utilities, and they were marked. It did take a few weeks to get them installed, and the utility markers were pretty much mowed away, but I don't think there is anything that can be done about that considering the time of year---busy!!! That said, I was very happy. I let them chose the trees, and they are gorgeous!!!

lRon and his crew of two men have been providing services to our yard for years. If you want reliable and polite people who are easy to communicate with, this is the group to hire. Usually I call or write Eagle Creek Nursery (Charlie Esterline) and explain what services I want. They (Ron and his group) arrive and work until the job is finished. I feel very pleased and frankly, very proud of my yard, when they are finished. The work is hard, but done as quietly and with as little disturbance as possible. Ron will knock on the door to say that they are there, and ask any questions he has. He is willing to hear your concerns or desires for the yard and then goes about doing what they came for. I will continue to hire this company for my yard needs!!

They have done a good job. They contacted us and they sent a representative out to see as far as what I was asking for. Then they did a drawing and we had a chance to discuss what they were going to do ahead of time. They set a date and a time and did it. They are good. I think the price was fair. We got some estimates from another company and they were a little high.

Over the winter we had to have the primary tree in our front yard removed due to squirrel damage and the continual loss of limbs. This left us with a very empty yard due to the fact the old tree was 45ft+ tall. I inquired with ECN about what trees they had, and their prices. I emailed back and forth a bit with Kim during the winter when it was too snowy and cold to come and look at the trees, and she was very informative about what they had. Once the weather warmed up and we could finally make it to ECN, we met with Kim on-site, and she took us around to show us some trees. We weren't able to get into the fields to get up close and pick one out that day due to it being so muddy, but I came back a few days later and went back out with Kim. She showed me up close the trees we had talked about, and helped me select the perfect tree for the front yard. We ended up selecting a 2.5" October Glory Red Maple that was approximately 13ft tall. I paid for the tree at that time, and Kim told me they'd be in touch to schedule planting, sometime around the 1st of April. We did have a slight snafu with scheduling the planting, but nothing that was the fault of ECN. The utility marking company had not come out and marked by the time they said they would have, so we were unable to schedule at the time ECN called initially. Luckily, the utility marking company came by later that day (and the next morning) to mark all the utilities. We then scheduled with Eagle Creek Nursery for planting on Friday at 10. The crew arrived a little early, and got right to work. We discussed the location (because I was a little concerned it was too close to the utilities, but they assured me it was fine). They got the hole dug, and then helped me select the proper "face" of the tree to point towards the street. They got the tree in, back-filled, mulched, and staked in a very short amount of time. They cleaned up after themselves and left the jobsite as clean, if not cleaner, than when they arrived. The tree looks GREAT, and really helps define the yard again. I can't wait for it to start leafing out here soon. Very impressed with Kim and everyone at Eagle Creek Nursery. I know exactly where I will go next time I need another tree!

Our lawn was in such ill condition by the time we found out about Eagle Creek Nursery and Landscaping. Despite many years of paying for lawn treatment from a large distributor service - you would have never known it. And then we met the owner of Eagle Creek Nursery... at the baseball diamonds - his company truck in the parking lot for me to take notice!! We are so very pleased to have started using Eagle Creek Nursery's service. My husband and I have been married for twenty years and have owned our own home from the beginning. We've been around let's say with getting quotes from service providers, trying to select the best one, getting disappointing results so resuming the lawn care by ourselves again. And then that whole process went through round two when we moved from our first home in Indianapolis to the west suburbs where we now live. We thought okay let's shop again and try to find a new lawn care company - surely we can get it right this time! That was in 2000. Thus enter scene Mark Esterline. It's 2013 and our service has kicked off VERY solid with an aeration treatment and over-seeding and fertilization. In all those years of service we have never witnessed a crew of multiple workers to do the job! I was home at the time and was so excited about this productivity and professionalism that I texted a picture to my husband to show him what was going on!!! I have watched aeration work before also. But none like this. The crew of two men went back and forth in a criss cross. Meaning the land was doubled back over multiple times for the aeration. And so kudos to Mother Nature with its latest wet fall but we are ALREADY seeing the results of our lawn being transformed from a dull, unhealthy, thin yard to green healthy grass!!!!!!! Sure hope you take your time to talk to mark and his crew BEFORE you commit to any other service. You will be glad you did.

It went well. Charlie Swartzell was very professional and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He was also punctual in checking the progress of the seeding work to make sure the grass was doing well and if additional seed is needed.

The crew showed up exactly on time and were very quick to get to work. They helped me determine if the locations my wife and I had picked for the trees seemed appropriate. As they planted the trees, they determined which "side" of the tree looked best and placed that facing the road. They mulched and staked the trees and made sure they were watered in. When complete, they provided instuctions on how to maintain them and how long to retain the stakes. The location of one tree required the removal of an existing maple tree of the same size. I wanted to be able to transplant this tree to my daughters home. They were very careful to remove and ball and burlap this tree. They even loaded it into the back of my pickup truck. The site was completely cleaned up and our front yard looked like the trees had been there from the beginning. I would not hesitate to use Eagle Creek Nurseries again. Oh, and both our trees and the one I moved to my daughter's are all doing wonderfully.

They were prompt, personable and the price was reasonable.

So far, they are great. They show up and work hard. They are doing a great job.

I enjoyed our initial meeting. I really felt that Charlie was listening to my likes and dislikes about my yard's current status and what I need help with from Eagle Creek.

They are on time and take care of business in a professional manner. They were under budget by about $200.00.

When I first moved into my house 13 years ago is when I began to use them. They are the best. They are very accommodating and go above and beyond with their service.

The people at the nursery have been very helpful and I love the selection. I am not sure who is more to blame for the handful of plants that did not work out. Could it be the nursery or the landscape architect we paid for a master plan? Surely we aren't to blame :) Despite the crazy weather we kept things watered and most of the plants thrived while two species have really struggled over the past two years. I think most of the blame is on the architect as the struggling plants seem to be ones with more sun exposure than planned.

Dennis did a great job with the installation and was available when we had questions during the process. He listened to what we wanted and made recommendations as needed. Highly recommend.

They did a good job yard looked great when I got home.

We called Dennis to come out to give us an estimate concerning some trees we wanted to plant. He was very prompt as usual and suggested what would look nice and where each tree should be planted. The estimate was received shortly and the work was scheduled and completed on time. The crew that came to do the planting did an excellent job . Dennis came out to explain how to take care of the new trees as we were in the middle of the draught and very hot weather. One of the trees actually got over-watered, but we called Dennis and he new immediately upon listening to the description of the leaves what had happened and I think that the tree is going to make it because with his suggestions we were able to correct the amount of water that tree was receiving and it now looks fine.

We were very pleased with Eagle Creek Nursery & Landscape. Dan Cook was very knowledgeable and did a good job of planning the project. The workers who planted the tree were very prompt, courteous and professional. They seemed to really care about doing a good job. The project went perfect. We would certainly hire them again.

I've been using them for years. If i ever have any questions or concerns I can call them and let them know and thye area always willing to work. we have a good relationship and they are nice to deal with.

Dan showed up on time and sent the proposed landscape plan to me quickly. We set an approximate date to start work, although (to my delight) they ended up starting a week earlier than planned. It is a beautiful plan and truly maximizes my home's features and highlights a somewhat unusual patio that I had installed years ago. They did a great job. The downside, of course, is that Murphy's law took hold and I chose a year of record drought to install an extensive landscape. Needless to say, I have made a few calls to Dan and others at Eagle Creek Nursery for advice when the extreme weather conditions started to stress some of the plants. I have found them to be helpful and I think that all but perhaps one plant will survive this extremely hot and dry summer. The weather has added a lot of extra work but I am still glad I made the decision to do the work and I'm very happy that I chose Eagle Creek Nursery. They did an excellent job and I have had many compliements from friends and neighbors on the beautiful job that they did.

I think they did a great job. I will continue to use them. I give them As in every category.

He came by and checked out my evergreens and said to just keep watering them but they looked fine. We were worried that we were going to lose them but he reassured us they were fine and didn't charge us. They've done great work for us before and I think highly of them.
