it went great! he called me back right away and told him what was going on. he was super busy but would install the next day or two. i have an old garage door and it wasn't in stock. .he was so nice to wheel and quot;Big Blueand quot; trash container in to my garage. he had to wheel around to backyard thru service door. i hate to leave it out long.. within a day or so the spring was installed and my door was operational. i've used Eand E for several years! i'm thrilled with their work. since i'm a small business owner, i like to use small businesses when i can. thanks for your wonderful service!! susan browning

E and E was referred to me by my garage door repair guy since they could not make it out until sometime the following week. Ed Jr wasn't sure if he was able to make it out on same day service so I schedule for the next day, received a phone call saying I might be able to squeeze you in today. All I know is I had a knock on the door and someone was disassembling my garage door springs. That's what I call service, I gave Ed the wrong type of door so we had the wrong springs for my door. Had to leave for work received a phone call from Ed Jr about 2 hours later stating the job was complete.

We have used Eand E for our own residence and for a rental unit we have. Eand E does great work at very reasonable prices. We would not hesitate to use them again. Eand E has tried to talk us through the issues we had with our garage doors over the phone and sometimes we can get it resolved without them coming out. If it is something we cannot do ourselves, they come out and fix the issue promptly and for a very reasonable price.

Professional as anticipated.

My garage door stopped working on a Saturday. I phoned E and E (Carmel) and left a message. Ed Junior phoned me first thing on Monday, then stopped by the same day to look into the problems with my garage door. The very next day all of the work requested was completed, and for a very reasonable price.

They did absolutely what we wanted them to do. We wanted the garage door to be more weathertite. The gentleman was on time, no problems whatsoever. There was still a slight space under the door, so someone else came out and solved our problem by adding a second piece. They didn't charge us for the second piece or the second trip. Very fair pricing.

The morning after a strong thunderstorm had passed, our garage door wouldn't completely close. Our opener is old - 13 years so I new parts might be an issue if that is what was required. The diagnosis could range from eye sensor alignment all the way to a new opener. Luckily, I was able to reach Ed Jr at Eand E Garage Doors on reference from TJ at Paramount Garage Doors. Eand E came out and investigated the situation. Parts weren't easy to find and the job was difficult to diagnose. Ed did some investigation and then left as he was going to call to find parts and get prices to determine whether a new unit or fixing the old was going to be the best price route. However, while on another job, Ed was able to salvage the eye sensors from that job (they were replacing the entire unit), run back to our house, and then check to see if new eye sensors solved our situation. Luckily it did! Ed ordered new eye sensors which arrived next day. He installed the new sensors and performed a tune-up - all for approximately $100.

I called, certain we'd need a new door. He had someone in the neighborhood on another call, and promised someone would be over within a few hours, which was wonderful by itself. I expected we'd need a new door, or at least new track, and the door had come completely off the track, was bent in the middle, torn in a few places. Instead, he fixed it, and the $49 charge was less than most companies charge for a service call ($89). He explained the causes thoroughly, told me what to watch for, long term, and was a joy to work with. When we replace that door, whether it's 1 year or 10, I know whom I will call.

That work was fine. I'd made an appointment but was told that they didn't have an appointment for me, when I called after a no-show. I just made another appointment. The guy who came out, different from the person I scheduled with, was very efficient. The guy seemed like he could do the work with his eyes closed. Unfortunately the door opener broke shortly after this service and they referred me to another good company because they were booked up. I got the referral to the other company from the owner who was just wonderful and willing to share information.

They are very friendly, honest, professional, reasonable pricing, and overall excellent service. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

I called Eand E kate on a Friday afternoon when my door broke and would not go all the way down. The door actually bent. I could not get the door closed myself so someone came by on a very cold evening and managed to get the door down so the pipes in my garage would not freeze. Because I wanted a specific door with a specific finished color, E and E was not sure they would be able to find it in stock. However, they did and called me on Sunday afternoon to let me know that they would be at my home on Monday morning to replace the door. They arrived promptly, replaced the door, hauled away the old door and left my garage neat and orderly.I recommend this family-owned local business without reservation. They provide old-fashioned service with old=fashioned values.

They were prompt and courteous, did good work and their prices were fair.

Very informative representitive. He educated us on the types of doors available and why of each type. Pricing was very close to other estimates we received. Very fast installation. Gave us an upgrade to the garage door opener. The door we purchased was manufactured in Warsaw Indiana. This was the reason we choose this vendor.

Very pleasant company to do business with

We just moved in to this place in the end of July 2011. We used them in our other house and actually loved them. The experience with them went very well. They were excellent across the board. Actually we had used them twelve years ago when we built our house twelve years ago, and on our house that we just sold. We just don't know how we found them. We just checked all the different companies at the time and we picked them. We spent around $300 on their services. We will definitely use their services again in the future. That's why we called them in this time and our insurance company also wanted them.

They were a class act. The older Ed came out. We looked, talked, and evaluated. I had already decided that I would most likely buy, but he looked at the doors for me anyway so that I would have all of my options. He took the time out to come even though his son was scheduled for surgery. The work was excellent. They even worked on one of my older doors. They hauled away the old door. Their prices were the best. I am very pleased with this company.

We had wooden garage doors replaced with metal in a confined area. The job was completed in a couple of days. There was some tailoring and engineering required to make the items fit and the results were super.

They are very customer service oriented and would be thrilled to use them again!

They are always very nice. He will come out on Saturday and do what I need to have done. My spring broke, he was here for two hours, I was expecting him to be there for much more. He also looked at my computer and determined I needed a new hard drive.

Our garage door died in late fall. Since it had been repaired in the past we decided to replace it. We shopped at three big box stores and three vendors from Angie's List. When we are making a large purchase we generally do a great deal of research about the product so we are familiar enough to make a sound decision. We used that strategy in preparation of purchasing a new garage door. After visiting with all of the above we decided to work with Ed Jr. at E and E. It was the best experience we have had with a vendor in a very long time. Ed Jr.'s customer service is so outstanding that we would work with E and E for that alone. However E and E compared favorably with all others in the areas of product knowledge, quality of product, pricing and timeliness. We chose our custom garage door and prepared to wait for its arrival. Ed Jr. came out and repaired our old garage door at no cost so we could use it until the new one arrived. Even though the holidays were upon us our new door arrived a week early and they came to install it. When the installers unpacked the door a cosmetic piece was missing. We received a call from Ed, Jr. while the installers were still there telling us he had contacted the manufacturer and a factory rep would be out within a week to install the piece. We did not realize the installers had called him from our driveway and he was already controling the problem. True enough, one week later, between Christmas and the New Year, the factory rep came and installed the piece. Both Ed Jr. and his father came out the next day to check out the work and make sure we were satisfied. We are extremely happy with our door and with E and E..

Will not hesitate to hire again whenever I need additional service.

I left Ed Jr. a voicemail on Monday with details of our malfunctioning opener + expressed an interest in replacing our doors. He returned my call right away (from the zoo, where he was with his son on MLK Day), explained what was wrong with my opener, and told me we could talk more that evening about new doors. I mentioned having a coupon from another provider and he was very understanding about my wanting to schedule them to possibly save some money. He said he would call me later to find out if I made an appointment with someone else and to discuss replacement door options. I called the other provider and found out that their price would barely match Ed's, even after using the coupon, so I didn't schedule them for the repair. When Ed called me back that night, we confirmed an appointment for the next day -- to be completed while I was at work -- and agreed that he would take measurements for new doors and leave information about door options. Sure enough, I came home from work the next day to find the garage door opener fixed and a garage door pamphlet on the kitchen table. I am looking forward to using E and E for replacing our awful doors in the near future.

On time, professional, personable, did a great job!

I've had problems on and off with the garage door opener for several months. Each time I'd call Eand E. The owner, Ed, would always give me great advice on how I might be able to troubleshoot it myself over the phone. He is the most helpful small businessman I may have ever talked to. He even came by the house and reprogrammed it for me - at no charge! Eventually, I got tired of screwing around with it and asked him to put in a new one, which he did. I'm very pleased. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone.
