 + -1 moreWe had DS Mechanical come out to our house to redo the duct work under our room addition, because the company who had performed the service before had put in the wrong material and done a sub par job. DS Mechanical fixed all of the previous contractors mistakes and did a spectacular job in a timely fashion. They are very knowledgable and very well priced.
Description of Work: They installed new metal duct work under our room addition and made sure all other register vents were connected properly to our floor.

 + -1 moreThe associate came out on a Sunday evening and was available in less than an hour after the call. He was VERY timely and knowledgeable. He fixed a thermostat/electrical issue in under an hour. The service was very fairly priced, especially for a Sunday night.
Description of Work: The associate came to look at our air conditioner, which was blowing out hot air and wouldn't turn off. He fixed the problem in under an hour.

 + -1 moreSame as above plus they charged me much less for a Saturday visit to look at the problem. It did help that I was the only one at home and my wife was alway so getting the water heater on a weekday was possible and I was able to save on that department ($50 vs $132 for normal weekend fee). They even ended up charging nothing for the Saturday trip as I used them, and as mentioned above, installed the jacket (which hopefully, will save on water heater costs) for free.
Description of Work: Showed up on Saturday, recommended by my condo manager. While I did have some misgivings on the prices, I factored in the fact that this company is an independent contractor and not beholden to chains such as Home Depot, Lowes, and Roto-Rooter. Anyway, they looked at what my condo manager thought was damaged pipes leaking downstairs. However it turned out the problem was the water heater which was no longer working. They offered to replace the heater on Monday, but I asked for Tuesday which they cheerfully did as I had to go out of town Monday. They did it professionally and completed the job in about three hours. They even threw in free installation of a jacket

 + -1 moreIt was a bit tough getting the right parts and I had to wait 10 days. DS was very good about responding to my calls. In fact, the night I discovered my defunct AC, the owner stayed on the phone with me for 20 min. coaching me thru some simple checks I could do to see if we could get it working. As mentioned above, the staff ran into complications with my old breaker box. They were able to rework things safely and did not charge me any additional.
Description of Work: I have a home warranty through HSA. My central went out about 5pm on Friday of Memorial Day weekend. The owner, Brent, came out the next day (this company was assigned to me thru HSA) to try to get it running, but the unit was 40 years old and quite dead. He worked with HSA to get the right parts (not easy to find a coil for an oil furnace) and kept in touch. He sent his staff out as promised, when promised. The fellows were clean cut, polite, and fixed a related problem in my old breaker box to get the unit working properly--at no additional cost. The price listed is not the retail price, just want I paid after my warranty company.
