Excellent! Dropped the car off before work and got shuttled to work on time. Stopped by on a late lunch to pick the car up. Bob let me know that I would need the front brakes and rotors done soon, but not today. Every time I hop back in my car after getting it serviced here, it's like brand new. And I never have to go back for repeat service. If you live/work in Downtown Indy, this should be your auto service shop. No question.

Great! They were personable from the minute I pulled into the parking lot. They were very friendly, helpful and I felt that I could trust them to inspect my car, and honestly tell me what needed done. I knew I needed an oil change, but wanted a general inspection as well. They rotated tires for me, one tire had a hole in it, they fixed that. I also needed a new tire pressure sensor, which they called me to make sure that I wanted them to replace before doing. They gave me a ride to and from work, which makes a huge difference in the amount of time spent having to have work done to my vehicle. (It's nearly impossible to sit at a dealership or auto center with an infant.) All around, price was reasonable, they had great customer service, responsiveness, and I will definitely be returning for future car care.

This shop is a real class act. Promptly was greeted and had all my questions answered along with the very convenient location and a shuttle to work! Couldn't ask for a better group to work on my car. I have definitely found my new place to take all my cars.

Brought my car in to Downtown Car Care for the first time to have some minor work done. The guys there were fantastic. Work done in a reasonable amount of time and I really appreciated how open and honest they seemed about what was needed. I will definitely return the next time I need work done.

A couple months ago, I hit a pothole and bent one of my rims. These guys are great. I went in before work. When I told them that, they moved me to the front of the queue. I had a replacement rim, which they mounted my spare tire on, and mounted my newer tire on the spare's rim. Within two hours, they got the work done.

My headlights suddenly stopped working one night (brights would work though), so a friend recommended I try Downtown Car Care ... Bob was able to fit me in ASAP, and it only took 1-2 hours for him to get the part I needed delivered and installed. Awesome service - would definitely use again.

I've used this company twice now for mechanical car repairs. They came up well on Angie's List and they almost always have a coupon for a small, but anything is better than nothing, discount. If you live or work downtown, they have a delivery for you to your office or home almost anywhere in the downtown area. They will then pick you up when your car is finished or when you are able to leave for the day (they do close at 5:30 but open at 7:30 am). As I said, they seem very capable and their mechanic staff is very good with diagnosis. They are prompt at getting to your car and usually can get it done in a day. If not, your car is stored safely in the garage overnight. And they may do a "work in", but STRONGLY encourage that you schedule an appointment so they can plan your repair and get you in and out in a day. I have been very happy with their quick diagnosis and their commitment to try and get your vehicle done in a day. I have a 2006 Honda Civic and they have worked on it twice. One putting on rear brakes (it was more extensive and expensive than usual because the calipers had fused closed, wearing through the pads and causing metal to metal wearing in just a few miles) and the other was some kind of transmission diagnostic node that was malfunctioning and giving false indication of a problem. I would definitely recommend them for mechanical work and they also sell tires, which I have never purchased for this vehicle. I live downtown and whether you live or work downtown...they are reliable and capable...and have the service to take you to your office or home and pick you up when your vehicle is ready. Their work does come with a 90 day guarantee. So it's very good to have a resource downtown. BTW....they used to be on Virginia Ave, but sold their building there a few years ago, where they had been for many years. They relocated to North Capitol Ave from their previous location to make way for a new residential apt or condo building.

Bob and the guys were great as usual. I found these guys on Angie's List a year or so ago and couldn't be happier for it. Yesterday the power steering went out in my Jeep. It smelled awful, it was a nightmare to turn and I was dreading the worst. I contacted Downtown Car Care and Bob said they were pretty busy (after seeing the shop that was an understatement) but that I should bring it in and he'd at least take a look and let me know what was wrong. I brought it in and he was able to tell me what was wrong right away. Originally, he had told me it look like a few things and should run about $340 and they might be able to get to it the next day. I was fine with that, but this is where they make their money. I get a call 5 hours later, from Bob, and he tells me that not only is my Jepp ready but that it's only going to be $214 because some of the things that they thought they needed, they didn't. I've had a lot of expierences with auto service shops and I've never had anyone tell me that it was less than they told me. In fact, a few years ago, i found out that a job that was done on my car should have cost nearly $400 less than I was charged (by the company that ended up fixing their mistakes). These guys do a great job and they made a hectic situation transition back to normal seemlessly.

I brought my vehicle in before noon and got the car back the same day around 5pm. They handled the issue and also discussed other trouble areas that may need work in the future. My wipers work fine now and I will use them for any future automotive needs.

They do absolutely wonderful work for older cars. It’s a couple guys and they are really good.

They were great. They told me what the problem was within an hour, and had it fixed by the time I got off of work. They were reasonably priced and very trust worthy. I will definitely go back.

They're always very good. I've been using them for 20 years almost. I keep going back to them because of the quality of work and fair pricing.

I took it to a local auto parts store and the worker checked the electronics and said the alternator was bad. I took it to another store a couple days later and they said everything was normal. After it took 5 times to get the van to start I knew something was wrong. Our usual mechanic that we have used and loved for nearly 10 years was booked solid for over a week and I was concerned that the van would quit running before then. I used Angie's List to find Downtown Car Care based on their ratings and the closeness to where I work. I called and was able to make an appointment for the next day. I dropped it off and they offered to drive me to work which was nice. I had a ride arranged though. I told them about the problem and they did a battery and electrical test for $25.00. The test indicated everything was ok. They suggested that the problem I was having was caused by the tumblers in my ignition being out of alignment. I had them fix it since I needed the van to run. The whole repair was about $285.00. They 'fixed' the ignition and gave me a separate key to start the van. Now I have a key to open the doors and a key to start the van. It was a couple days later when the starting problem came back which proved the ignition wasn't the problem. Our mechanic was able to fit us in and determined that the starter was bad. They replaced the starter and the van runs fine now. They told me that Downtown Car Care should have been able to make adjustments to the door locks so the same key could be used for the doors and the ignition. Maybe something was out of alignment with the tumblers of the ignition but it wasn't THE problem. I would have liked to use Downtown Car Care when our mechanic is booked because of their closeness to where I work. I just don't know if I can trust them.

They confirmed that they would use my extended warranty and were able to fit my schedule to inspect my car for an upcoming road trip. To my astonishment....they did a full inspection, explained that the only possible work that was needed were maintanence issues like replacing brake pads and such but that nothing needed to be done prior to a trip. And then they didn't charge me ANYTHING! WOW! I will defintely go back to them!

Air-Serv was contacted on short notice to install a vent pipe from the basement through the roof of our 1 story house. JR accommodated our short schedule window, showed up on the date requested at the time requested and finished the work so we wouldn't be without hot water following the install of our new water heater. The work was neat clean and well done.

As someone who doesn't know much about cars, I really appreciated my experience at Downtown Car Care. I noticed that the temperature dial in my car kept rising extremely high over the course of a few days, so I called to schedule an appointment to have it looked at. I was able to get in the next day. Bob listened as I explained the issue. He drove me a few blocks to my office (in his personal vehicle) so I could get to work on time. He called me a few hours later, after having diagnosed the issue, and asked my permission before beginning repairs on the water pump. The repairs were finished by the end of the day, and I was able to pick up my car on my way home from work the same day. The price was fair and my car (knock on wood) hasn't had any issues since. I will definitely use Downtown Car Care again.

Just want to reinforce my previous excellent review. They have now serviced both my cars. Trustworthy, great people who do what you need but no more. Prices are far below any dealership. Gave me a lift to and from work happily and punctually. Make getting your car serviced really painless. People I worked with have all the top certifications for auto work. Since we live downtown finding them has been a real plus.

I have been a customer of Downtown Car Care since 1996. They are reasonable and honest. I have never had a problem with their services. I always have dropped their name to friends and family as a reliable auto repair business. I take our cars there for oil changes, tune ups, maintenance and emergencies. They really do a great job!

Well the Jeep broke down at the salvation army late in the day. We called these guys and they had the job done by the morning. They were extremely nice guys and they didn't charge that much. We were expecting to spend a lot more than we did and the Jeep is running great. We really appreciated there hard work and dedication to the job. We will definitely use them again in the future.
