They have been awesome in customer service, the manager has gone out of his way a couple of times to accommodate us when we had issues with particular companies and equipment, be has done it to keep us happy with things, and the issues haven't been necessarily their problem. That's one reason we keep going back, I get an excellent price, give them high ratings, and will continue to go there in the future.

I spoke with two different women in regards to what I was looking for. Each of them and together showed me different lines of clothing that may work for me and fell into my price range. While I was trying on the clothes they also provided suggestions as to where I may find suitable products. I found it amazing that they provided great customer service in their store even going as far as to recommend products that were not located in their store.

The bike looked great and (if not defective) seemed to be a pretty good price. After I brought the bike home, it sat in the garage for a few weeks, and during the first ride, I noticed that it had a flat tire. Because I had only taken the bike on a short ride on a normal street with no incidents, I was pretty confident that the tire problem was an original defect on the bike (or had occurred during the bike prep at Dick's). I returned the bike to Dick's and explained the problem. Dick's stated that they do not warrant tires at all (even immediate problems on bikes that they sell) and that I would have to pay for any repairs. Overall, the technician was very nice, very knowledgeable, and did a good job. He repaired the bike very quickly, which was much appreciated. He was the high point of the sales and repair interaction, but I think that he was basically stuck with a bad customer service policy at Dick's. He was friendly and helped to transport the bike to the car. Even though I'm disappointed that Dick's didn't stand behind their product in this case, I would go back again because of the quality and speed of the work by the technician. My rating of the quality of the technician's work would be an "A", but my rating of the quality of the original bike would be an "F" - hence the overall quality of work rating of "'C". Other than the tire, the bike is of fairly good quality. However, Dick's makes a big deal of their quality and customer service. I found both to be lacking in this case. It did not seem to matter that I bought the bike at Dick's or that there may have been a defect - this negated the main reasons that I had considered Dick's for the bike purchase. Dick's may have followed the letter of their policy in this case (that they do not warrant tires), but they did not stand behind their product, and they did not follow the spirit of customer service.
Description of Work: Purchased a new bike that turned out to have a flat tire almost immediately on the first ride. Sometimes it's difficult to find the knowledgeable person at the store. You just need to be bold/direct and ask. I felt that I received the best price for the elliptical I choose. Jim was more than helpful. Another salesperson (I'm sorry I cannot recall his name) explained in visual terms what each machine did and how my legs should feel while using it. They prices are competitive for the "budget" family. We stayed within our budget and made a good purchase!
Description of Work: I was researching purchasing an Elliptical Trainer for our home. I went to the store three times in one day. The first sales person, explained that the Fitness Trainer/manager for that department wasn't in yet so he directed me to the automated video information screen to further learn about their equipment. I tried out all of their store models, narrowing down to three that I liked. I went home in between to discuss with my spouse and compare notes. I stopped in later that day on a whim, but wasn't wearing appropriate shoes to try out the machines. I then spoke with two employees, one of which was Jim (manager/ and a certified fitness trainer). They were VERY helpful. There was no sales pressure. They do not work on commission here. I came back just before closing with a girlfriend (another opinion). I spoke with Jim again. I narrowed the three down to one. I purchased the elliptical.
