We had some damage to a gutter from a fallen tree. David came out and took a look at the gutter and made the determination that the gutter was still in good enough shape to drain properly, that the dent could be hammered out or left alone. He doesn't do much gutter work, but was kind enough to take a look and give us a recommendation. He was very responsive and very thorough with his explanations. Thanks David!

I have hired Dave Schulz & Son to work at my own home so I called him when I needed help to prepare a house to sell. They primarily did painting, some drywall repair and other minor repairs. He worked with me on scheduling, came when he said they would, and did good work at a very reasonable price. Dave is reliable, honest, trustworthy and returns calls which is saying something anymore. If he is unable to do the work himself, he will recommend someone else. That was the case in this situation, and the person he recommended was also good. I will be calling Dave if I need future work and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

This is the 3rd time that I've used David and his son Dylan in the past year. I purchased the material which came in 20 ft. rolls. A lot of shelves, etc. needed to be moved before installation. When finished all was put back where it had came from. They certainly did a much better job than I could have done. David has a lot of good suggestions about making things work properly. He even fixed a gutter and downspout on our porch that I didn't know needed to be fixed. He's always been on-time, the job was done right,and the price was reasonable.

Very good. My house siding looks brand new again! And I don't remember my driveway or sidewalk ever looking this good. Then I love my new shelves. David and John take pride in their work and take the time to do things right. And I like that David Schultz & Son is an Angie's List Super Service award winner and Indianapolis Monthly said the business provides the best handyman service.

The job went marvelously. David and Dylan are reliable and a pleasure to work with. Not only did they do great work, but they provided recommendations of where to place items and hang items based on the integrity of the building and the use of the room. The father and son duo are now my go-to handymen team. Thank you so much!

This is a cumulative review over the last two years. I have had David Schulz & Son out to a rental property I own in Broad Ripple probably 10 or 15 times in the last two years to do a variety of handyman work. The type of work Dave & his crew have performed has included general carpentry work, painting, adjusting/changing locks, light plumbing work, power washing, drywall... the list goes on and on. Basically, I call Dave for every single issue that my tenants report with the house or fix-up that I need & every time I call he has been able to help or has been able to recommend another professional if he feels an issue is outside his core area of expertise. And Dave's pricing is always very affordable. In addition to his ability to get the job done, Dave is quite simply one of the most honest & high-integrity people I know in my life. I've gotten to know him very well over the last two years. I never question his word because I know he's being honest with me. And I've never once had a dispute about an invoice or charge (and I've received probably 15 different invoices over the last 2 - 2.5 years for various work Dave & his crew have performed). In summary, I highly recommend David Schulz & Son. They get the job done in a professional, courteous manner... and Dave is just a good all-around person.

I will not hire this contractor ever again!!!!!!!. Beware of hiring this contractor!!! He has anger management issues and is not honest with his pricing. The job was a disaster. The contractor, David Schultz, provided an estimate for the cost of the labor based on the work requested. He initially stated it would take four days to complete. I added some other items which was completed in an additional day, but the project took 9 days to complete because the contractor only worked half days and one day did not show up at all with no notice given. The contractor is an older person with a disability who needs his son as a helper. Because his son went out of town, my work was delayed and the contractor brought in another helper and charged an additional amount for the new helper when the cost of the project had already been agreed on. In addition, I asked about a repair that had been done by this contractor previously, I told him I did not want to pay for a repair, if needed, at this time, and he said he would have his son look at the job. His son looked at the lights on the garage that were not working and stated that new bulbs needed to be added. He purchased the bulbs and charged $64.38 for the job which at this point, I was forced to pay because the owner became very aggressive, shouting and using profanity. This aggressive behavior was shown in the beginning of the project when the owner, thought I had asked his son to do some work when I had not. He assumed in error, and drove into my driveway in an intimidating manner as if he was going to run into my car and began shouting that I had no right to tell his son what to do. At that point, I should have stopped the work and told him to leave. I did not and the work deteriorated after that. I had to constantly ask for do overs on the project pieces. The work on the front portico was left a mess. I had to clean the debris from all over my front steps. This contractor is 20 thumbs down!!!!!!!!

I was able to discuss the problem with David on Tuesday afternoon and he came early the next morning to help repair our problem. He was very efficient and professional. We had hired David 8-9 years ago and he remembered us! It was very comfortable having a familiar, dependable person in our home! We would highly recommend David for any services needed!

They have to get out and get some hardware to re-hang the railings and they provided several choices of the hardware to matched the existing hardwares in the house which i find very nice.They were also opened up a ceiling fixtures to change the light bulbs which I could n't do myself. They were on time , very courteous and very helpful. they were AL top rating company, and i got them from the magazine.

It went great. David was responsive and kept me informed about the process. Reasonable rate. When the job was more complicated that we originally realized, he did great work and took the time to make sure it was done correctly. Would hire again.

Great. I left a voice message in the afternoon, and David returned my call that same evening. He was available the next day, showed up on time along with his son, had made a list of the issues we discussed on the phone, and wanted to confirm each of the items on the list. He had a clear understanding of what needed to be done and worked at it one day and returned the following morning to complete the work. He is professional, knowledgable, and dependable. I will call him again.

I called David Schulz because my dog was escaping through my front fence gate, which wouldn't stay closed. He came on Memorial Day morning, identified the problem, and fixed it within an hour. I'm grateful and expect my neighbors across the street who've twice retrieved my dog are as well! David and his son also installed ceiling fans for me a few months ago and completed that job well as well.

David & his son are very professional and easy to work with. They are able to do a variety of jobs and make sure that they understand the job before they commit. I was very happy with the two times that they recently did handyman work for me. Would recommend.

Dave put in a new garbage disposal. He was on time, new what he need to do, and did it at a very reasonable price. I've got more to do, and I'll be using Dave in the future for handyman chores. Couldn't be more pleased.

Great. David, John, and Dylan worked extremely well as a team and have high standards for the finished product. The completed projects showed their attention to detail. Our existing doors had holes drilled that don't fit currently available hardware, and they figured out how to remedy this in an efficient way. We provided lighting fixtures and door handles, but our final cost from them included all other materials. There is a lot of experience and integrity on this team, and it shows. Cost was $680 which was reasonable for the amount of work completed.

This is a exceptional company and the did a terrific job.

He and his assistant did a very good job. In my opinion, he is quite skilled and knows a lot.

Great David came with 2 of his workers and they fixed most of my jobs Aftet the kitchen was painted they came back and John finished the jobs All were nice men I felt very comfortable with them in my home

They showed up within a few minutes of the scheduled time, were polite and friendly, but in a professional way, and worked quickly and efficiently. The cost was only $410.63, and that included parts. It was well worth it to me to pay them instead of trying to do all those things myself and maybe messing them up. I will definitely call him again when the need arises.

Very well. David is busy but kept my sister informed as to when he would be available. He completed all the tasks in one day and she is happy with his work. She had consulted a window business who had told her casement windows were shot and gave her an estimate to replace for over $7000. David made all the windows usable for a fraction of the cost. He has even been willing to serve as a sounding board when another problem cropped up on an unrelated issue. He is a kind and patient man.

David gave me an honest assessment of my gutters and that a repair would not be necessary but also told me what I could do if I wanted to do it anyway. It is a pleasure to work with David and I always trust and value his opinion.
