He was great and he was definitely professional. The work seems to be well done and he usually showed up on time.

David did excellent work. He made sure that that not only the new garage disposal and kitchen faucet were in good working order, but also cleared a drain that was slow at no charge. His work and professionalism was wonderful, but it is his price was the best by far. We will definitely use him for all our handyman needs!

I recently purchased a new home. In addition to resolving water leaks at the old home, I needed to have a few items assembled at the new home. Additionally, I discovered when I moved the codes had changed around dryers and my three prong dryer plug would not connect to the four prong outlet. David and his helper were able to assist with all of my needs. They were prompt, friendly and very professional. They were able to provide guidance on what needed to be done. I was very pleased with the overal experience and will definitely be hiring them again in the future!

I thought he was efficient. He did what he said he would do at a good price. He was fine with price. I will use his services again in the future.

This ended up being more expensive and complicated than we anticipated before we called because it was in a corner with only a single cabinet door. That meant that you couldn't just put a big piece of plywood in there as there was no access. He had to work with smaller pieces of wood to assemble a small deck. Also, he had to work around plumbing because the wall behind the sink is an exterior wall we didn't want to completely enclose things and trap cold air in the winter. He did a nice job of building something that met all these needs and then he painted it so the cabinet finally had a finished look. We appreciated the creative way that he made this work.

He did very well. He figured out the problems we had and fixed them. He came when he said he was and he was reasonably priced. He was a true handyman.

David and a helper arrived on time and completed the work in less than 2 hours. He has always done a good job in the past and I appreciate his prompt and good service.

It was a good price for what he had to do. Reinforcing the frame was a difficult job. He preserved the appearance of the bed frame. The bed frame has four big pieces of wood and that had a smaller piece of wood upon which the mattress would sit. For some reason one side completely collapsed and to fix it was difficult. It was the side that was showing so he didn't want to put screws in the front of the frame so you could see the screws. He managed to fix it from the inside and he did a wonderful job in fixing it. Because he saw that it was a problem, he reinforced the whole thing. He didn't charge me for any material because they were gotten from scrap pieces that he could use. That was nice because no one is ever going to see them and a tree didn't have to be cut down for a wasteful purpose. All the wood would have been put in the dump because they were scrap pieces. He made good use of the material. He is going to install my rain barrels. Not many people know about rain barrels but he does. He hasn't done mine and I haven't yet. He has other things to do and we haven't had any rain for so long that it was not on his priority list or on mine. He did an absolutely wonderful job. He did things he didn't have to do. He reassembled my bed. He didn't have to do it because I said I would do it. He did it and he didn't charge me anything for it. He just did a super job. He is going to come and do the rain barrels for me. He is also coming back to put all new electrical fixtures in my basement.

I was very happy with his work, and I thought his price was reasonably. In fact, I plan on calling him in the near future for additional work.

David and his assistant worked in our home off and on for about 5 weeks. We started out having them strip wallpaper in two rooms and patching walls. They primed and painted and the rooms looked like they were new. Next we had crown molding put up in five rooms and a hallway. They also painted the molding. Despite the challenges of working in an older home and during the extreme heat wave they perservered and did a wonderful job. They were so easy to work with, had wonderful ideas, and never left a mess. We've already booked them next month for additional work.

I really liked him. He’s very easy to talk to. He explains everything in detail what he’s doing. He’s very cheap in his pricing and labor. He’s the only one that comes out. Everything is good and holding up well. I like his work. I always use his services. I will use his services again in the future.

David was very efficient. Had everything done, including cleanup, within an hour.

On July 24 found out work would not start until July 28. On July 27 found out that work would not start until Aug 1. I chose Mr. Schultz primarily because he said he could start the week my husband was out of town to cause the least interference with bathrooms being worked on. Since work wasn't going to start until about a week later - I went with another painting company and contacted another handyman company. The jobs I needed completed were done in the timeframe I wanted, just not by Mr Schultz. I understand that he had delays caused by another job and I'm glad that he didn't leave that homeowner until their needs were met. However, I also needed to keep a schedule, so I couldn't wait for Mr Schultz to do the job. He believes I did not communicate this timeline to him, and I believe I did. I apologized to him if I did not, but it was clear to me what my expectations were and I believed I had communicated them to him. Mr Schulz is quite personable. If the job had not been tied to a schedule I wanted to keep - it may have worked out. I do think his charges are probably less than others, but then again, I needed the work done in a timely manner.

I'm widowed so there are some things I just cannot do around the house. I've tried several handymen who haven't worked out but David has been a blessing to me. He returns phone calls promptly and gives me an estimate of when he can do the job, based on the weather reports. If there's a delay, he'll let me know. After a particularly bad mouse-infestation in my garage I was too squeamish to remove the droppings and damaged items and too fearful I'd run into one of the mice - either dead or alive. David and another man arrived, removed everything from the garage, discarded the nests and items destroyed by the mice, swept up the droppings and put everything back in better order than it had been to begin with. I'd hire him again, definitely.

He was excellent, couldn't have been better!!! He was on time, worked hard and finished earlier than I thought he would. He is very skilled and knowledgeable. He worked very quickly.

He did a great job repairing the previous damage to the ceiling and walls, and a superb job of repairing the kitchen ceiling as well as painting the kitchen and dining room ceiling. Also gave some advice on fixing a problem with the front screen door. We plan to hire him again to install a vent hood over our kitchen stove.

Our outstanding experience with David Schulz single-handedly made our Angie's List membership worthwhile. We hired David to perform some "deferred maintenance" tasks that had accumulated over a two-year period related to our Meridian-Kessler house. David promptly returned our inquiry, came over to view the house, gave us an accurate estimate, and began working on these projects within 48 hours. David's work was consistently first-rate. He clearly cared about the quality of his work AND the level of client satisfaction with that work. David was talented at "working problems" and coming up with solid solutions when our circa 1920s house presented some challenges like old wiring, non-standard dimensions, and the general unknowns associated with older houses. In these situations, David's intelligence and experience really shone through and he did not rest until the job was completed to everyone's satisfaction. We give David our highest recommendation, and it came as small surprise to us when we learned shortly after we hired him that he had been named "Best Handyman" as part of the annual "Best of Indy section" of a prominent local monthly magazine.

Someone broke into my garage, kicking the door open and damagine the knob and door jam. I thought I might have to replace the door and framing. Mr. Schulz came promptly and talked through several options, including his repairing the current door and frame. He explained how I could purchase a new knob on my own and have it keyed to the old lock, which matches the deadbolt. A helpful saving. He helped make the door secure temporarily while I got the lock and my schedule arranged for his return trip. He came back promptly, fixed the jam, put on the new knob, and added a metal plate for additional security. He easily could have charged me twice as much and I would have been happy to pay it.

He worked on one of my rental properties. I spent about $260. He did a nice job and I would hire him again. He was very honest. He gave me several options on how the ceiling could be repaired. He was always in contact with me about when he would come out. He has a lot of experience. I will use him again in the future.

He put in a portion of fencing for me. I got several estimates and his was the least expensive, although when the work was done it was about $200 more than he estimated. The work was done well and it was still less than other estimates, and he and his helper were always polite, professional, and easy to work with, as usual!

He got back to me within a day. He gave me his rates. The quote for drywall work was $80 for a six inch of repair on my ceiling. His pricing was fine, but he could not start the job until later. He was responsive on the e-mail. I think he actually came out to my place and did a walk-through quote. I will consider him for a quote in the future.
