They arrived on time and it was clear that both David and Andrew were experienced in this type of work. Very quickly they removed the old toilet and had the new one in place. It turned out that I had purchased a water supply connector that was a little too short for the new toilet. David went out to buy a longer one and while he was gone, Andrew helped me with a few simple fixes to other plumbing fixtures (tightening a loose faucet handle and tightening the bolts to another toilet which was a little wobbly on the floor occasionally causing water to "run" when it was tipped slightly away from level). I showed David several other items that need to be repaired or replaced at my home and he was helpful in suggesting how to approach each issue. I was very pleased with their style, work ethic and knowledge and will use David again when I need other handyman tasks performed.

Owner David Schulz and his assistant Andrew exceeded my expectations! They did high quality workmanship at a very reasonable cost, and were most polite. David arranged to come out and take a look first as I requested, and they arrived on the work day at the time scheduled. They were completly accommodating to my requests, and David reviewed his proposed plan with me before starting each task. The detail they put into their work was exceptional. The work looks great, and they went out of their way to build in more robustness than even originally present. I would highly recommend David Schulz handyman service!

This is the second time I have used David. I tend to accumulate a list of odd jobs over the year, then call him to punch through the list. Both times he has been very professional, responsive, and has always done a great job. He has gone way beyond what I would have expected. For example, when the ceiling fan turned out to have a defective part, he called the manufacturer, found out that they are actually located in the area, then drove to their building to obtain a replacement part. I have been very pleased with all the work he has done for me and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

One time, he really came through and went the extra mile when I had a sink problem. Very helpful, and the cost was not too high as I thought it was going to be! As a new homeowner, he will tell you the best thing to do and how to do it. I trust his expertise and learn a lot while he's here!

David and his assistant arrived to do the work. They arrived on time and were done in about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. The work went smoothly and we finally do not have a dripping faucet.

David was great. He returned my message at about 5:30 the same day I called and because he lived close by, he came out right then to check out the machine. He confirmed the electricity was working and was able to get the machine working again - allowing me to get back to work!

It went great. I showed him three jobs I was interested in having him complete. He gave me an itemized quote, with a little flexibility base on hourly work on each project. One job he asked if he could wait until the weather turned, and I agreed that as it was an inside project, and not pressing, it could wait. He went after both of the remaining jobs and completed them thoroughly and timely. He and his working partner were friendly, professional and punctual. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Came over the next day and performed job (on a Saturday). I've had David do work for me before. Friendly, professional, and trustworthy, David can do a variety of tasks.

Great! He is very affordable... great at explaining what he thinks needs done... works with your schedule and you do not have to wait weeks. He is busy though and sometimes cannot arrive right when he indicates, but he usually lets you know ahead of time if there will be issues. He is the type you can give your house key to and trust he will get the job done and there will not be any issues.

Wow! I consider myself lucky to have found David on Angie's List! What a true professional. He was friendly, responsive, prompt and reasonably priced. He stopped very soon after my initial call to familiarize himself with the job and returned a few days later on short notice (after IPL dropped the power line) to complete the repair. Communication was superb. Very reliable. Even better, he lives very close to me. I will definitely use David for all future handyman work.

I called David on Tuesday morning and he was out here the next day. He looked at our doorbell and diagnosed the issue then ran to the hardware store to get us a new one, promptly returned and had it installed in no time. He also worked on garage door opener and the light is working again. Great service, great response time.

David and his helper arrived to look at the work to be done and made some suggestions that served both to reduce the cost of the repair and to result in a more effective repair. The work is complete and the results have eliminated all effects of the damage

The original estimate and plan was to install three fence posts but made up some excuse about not being able to do the third. Charged the same price. Did not set a date on when he would do it, instead called the morning of and showed up. It took three days for a small job and most the time he and his "crew" sat around on our patio, broke a patio chair and completely flattened the cushions on every chairs. First impression was good and trustworthy however, by the end I was curious what I paid for and regret not doing it myself. When completed, Dave showed up with a scribbled hand written invoice with all the charges and labor and a whole lot of excuses. Could not read one thing on the invoice. By this time I only wanted him to leave my backyard.

He does a great job and prices are fair.

It was fine. We had no problems at all. He was very responsive and provided quick action. He did good work. He did very professional work and the prices were right. They did a really good job with the closet and knew how to insulate very well. We haven't had any problems with the water pump since then and we can do laundry in the winter on the coldest day. His prices were very good.

David was responsive and willing to help out after normal business hours. Advice was given about what problems should be fixed to prevent from happening in the future.

My experience was fantastic. David and his helper, John, came over and inspected the job in December and made an appointment to come back in mid January. They were punctual, had all of the materials ready, cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of my home. They were professional and finished the work promptly. It was apparent that they were experienced in this kind of work and I had no doubt that they would do the job well. I would highly recommend them.

This is a rental property and my tenants are very anal about everything. They said he was punctual, clean, polite, and did a great job with the work. This is saying a lot coming from them. I definitely recommend. On a side note, giving an F or even a D to a contractor for not getting a return call is a little harsh. Most of these people have small businesses and do not have secretaries to help them stay organized. If a contractor doesn't call you back, do your due diligence to get a hold of them or just call someone else. The time spent giving a negative review for such a small thing would be better spent either trying to get a hold of the contractor or calling someone else. I want to know if the person is good at what they do and are they professional doing it, period.

David offered great advice on how to complete the repair myself over the phone. He did offer to come out promptly if the DIY fix did not work. If you've ever used a big name service provider, you know how it can cost $75+ just to get someone to look at it. While I didn't have to pay for his service this time, David is definitely my choice for future needs. His honest and helpful nature are a rare find in the home service and handyman industry.

I attempted to schedule work with the provider for several properties I own. I left a voicemail message asking Mr. Schultz to call me to discuss the projects. Mr. Schultz returned my call after hours and left a very abrupt voicemail message indicating that he only deals with homeowners, not property managers, and therefore could not help me. I was a bit taken back as Mr. Schultz did not give me the courtesy of a "face-to-face" telephone call to discuss the projects. I had several projects to discuss, including projects on the home I live in and other investment properties I own - Very disappointed.

David and his assistant, John, were wonderful to work with. David came over to the house before I ordered the new shutters to go over measurements with me and discuss a couple of options. I had the shutters shipped directly to him, so he could paint them before hanging. He and John also removed the eight pairs of old shutters and salvaged the hinges, which they had baked and refinished, so that they could be used to mount the new shutters. The hinges look like new, and this cost much less than purchasing new hinges would have cost. The whole project extended over about a month and a half, but at every stage of the work it was a pleasure to deal with David and John, and the shutters look fabulous. I will definitely turn to David Schulz again in the future for projects around the house. In fact, he'll be back later this fall to do some repair work on our garage ceiling.

He saved me a lot of money. He's first class. I've used him many times.

David installed the ceiling fan in the bedroom and the renter loves it. Also, he fixed the deck, having problems with the steps and a few other boards and fixed that. I also had him do work in March of 2013. David hung towel racks for me and repaired a loose kitchen counter and a few other small handyman items. This house is a rental and we can call David and he will get the work done for us with no problem. I am confident that whenever we have something that needs to be done, David will take care of it.

David power washed and sealed a deck at one of my rental properties. He was very thorough and did a great job! I have used him on a number of other projects in the past and he always goes above and beyond to make sure the job gets done right and at a fair price. I will continue to use David in the future.
