 + -1 moreThey have a big selection of plants. I shopped their 10 cent tomato sale in the spring and got tomatoes plants for the garden. The plants were very picked over even on the first day of the sale. They grow a lot of plants on-site. They carry higher end plants and beautiful planters that are ready to sit out at home.
Description of Work: I have purchased garden and landscaping plants for two seasons.

 + -1 moreThe Rudbeckia's pot would not hold any water, so I took it back. They refused to refund the money stating that they do not guarnatee perennials because they do not know what happens to them after they leave the premises - which I understand. However, I have been growing plants for a very long time and I can tell you that when water runs right through a dry pot, the soil mix is BAD. Damman's prices are higher than most - even for a private family owned nursery - and this is the only one that I have ever dealt with that will not stand behind their plants. I paid a premium price for this plant, so I expected a premium performer. Instead, I have a plant that will need to be nursed back to health - IF I can save it.
Description of Work: Purchased an unusual Rudbekia along with a few other plants. Took them home, kept them watered and all did well except the Rudbekia. I took the Rudbekia back but, rather than a replacement plant or refund, I was told that I must have done something wrong. One person said I over-watered it, the other said I did not water it enough. Then when I pointed out that they were in disagreement, they said I had to have done both. Then, I got a lecture on how the little family owned operation cannot compete with the buying power of larger vendors - who like many family owned nurseries I regularly buy from, usually stand behind their plants.
