WHEN I WOKE UP THE NEXT DAY, THERE WAS NO HEAT. I CALLED CRYSTAL FLASH AND ASKED THEM TO COME OUT ASAP. THEY DID AND FIXED MY FURNACE. I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MR. TERRY PEARMAN ABOUT ADJUSTING MY ACCOUNT. I DID AND MR. PEARMAN TOLD ME THAT CRYSTAL FLASH WOULD CREDIT MY ACCOUNT WITH THE AMOUNT I HAD PAID TO THE COMPANY WHO HAD CHARGED ME WHEN I CALLED THEM FIRST. THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE SITUATION, THE PEOPLE AT CRYSTAL FLASH WERE COURTEOUS, APOLOGETIC, ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY, AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE. THEY DID EVERYTHING I COULD HAVE WISHED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. I WISH TO COMMEND THEM FOR THEIR CUSTOMER FRIENDLY ATTITUDE. I FEEL THAT THE QUALITY OF A COMPANY LIES NOT ONLY IN THEIR PRODUCT OR SERVICE, BUT ALSO IN HOW THEY DEAL WITH THE OCCASIONAL FOUL UP. I THINK THEY PASSED THE TEST WITH FLYING COLORS.
Description of Work: THIS PAST SUNDAY I ARRIVED HOME AFTER CHURCH TO DISCOVER THAT I HAD NO HEAT. SINCE MY HEATING SYSTEM HAD JUST RECEIVED ITS ANNUAL SERVICE THE PREVIOUS WEEK FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY, I CALLED THEM. THEY CAME OUT AND SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT IN THE FURNACE, BUT I WAS TOTALLY OUT OF OIL. SINCE THIS WAS NOT COVERED IN MY SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THEM, THEY CHARGED ME $89.95 FOR COMING OUT. I CALLED MY SUPPLIER, CRYSTAL FLASH, WHO HAS BEEN PROVIDING ME OIL IN A KEEP-FILLED ARRANGEMENT FOR AT LEAST THE PAST TEN YEARS. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THEY CAME OUT IMMEDIATELY AND FILLED MY TANK. THE DRIVER, KEVIN, WHOM I KNOW ONLY BY HIS FIRST NAME, WAS VERY APOLOGETIC, ADMITTED THAT THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AND ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. HE SENT SOMEONE OVER TO RESTART MY FURNACE. IT TURNED OUT THERE WAS A PART THAT WAS EITHER CLOGGED OR DAMAGED BY THE DREGS OF OIL. THE SERVICEMAN RIGGED UP SOMETHING TEMPORARILY AND PROMISED TO RETURN THE NEXT AFTERNOON WITH A NEW PART.
