Mr. Bucy determined that he could repair the cane cosmetically but due to it's design he did not feel comfortable that the cane could support my weight or force after the repair. He refused to take any money for his work even when I insisted. His compromise was that if the cane sustained normal wear and tear after one month I should send him the agreed upon fee. It is so rare that a craftsman has so much pride in his work and reputation that he will not take money for a job that is not up to his personal standard. I was very impressed by Mr. Bucy's integrity.
Description of Work: Repair of walking cane. The support rod holding the cane together and providing stability had broken.

Glen was excellent. He was prompt, brought the project in under bid and was a pleasant, helpful guy to boot. He performed the work quickly and efficiently and did a great job cleaning up after he was done. He also brought my trash cans in from the curb. I would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Threshold on our door, cabinet repairs, and insulation installation.

Glen came to my home to look at the door and estimate the repair. He took the door with him to his shop and returned it a few days later. It looks wonderful. He salvaged all of the old, arched molding and rebuilt the door. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to hire him again. In fact, he is going to replace all of the arched screens on my porch that were damaged by the hail storm. His quote for the screen job was $480; was three times lower than the next Angie's List bidder's quote of $1,275. Glen also looked at an arched window in my home as I thought it had water damage and might need to be rebuilt. He told me that it just needed to be sanded down to the wood and repainted. Thanks to his honesty, I did the job myself and saved money. If I have further water damage to it, I will have Glen build a storm window for it.
Description of Work: The screened door on my front porch had sustained water damage and the wood was rotting. The door needed to be rebuilt and the screening needed to be replaced. The door is not one you can buy at a home improvement store, as it is arched.
