Crawlspace Doctor

There were some initial problems. The access to our crawl spaces was too small to get full sheets of insulation in, so the workmen had to cut them into smaller pieces. With our permission, the men had already installed the heavy encapsulation sheet on the walls, but then they put the pieces of insulation over the top. None of us realized that it wouldn't look very good because it had to be pieced. We told Matt we weren't happy, and he bent over backwards to make it right. He ended up installing another layer of encapsulation over the top of the insulation, which made it visually nice looking. His attitude throughout was superb - he wanted us to be satisfied. And we are very pleased with the result.

Matt and two workers arrived at 8 am, a little earlier than promised, which was great. They removed debris and old insulation, taking care to not disturb wires, pipes or drains. They put down a plastic vapor barrier on the dirt and spray foamed the walls. The job was finished about noon. It looks clean and I feel that the space is protected against weather and critters. They were efficient, cleaned up after themselves well and were pleasant to deal with.

Took a day longer than expected due to worker illness. Very satisfied, my basement is as dry as the upstairs area of the house. There is no basement smell or feel. I highly recommend Matt's company.

We had installed hardwood in our entire home. Shortly thereafter, we noticed the wood was badly cupped due to excess moisture in the crawlspace. It was soupy mud down there even though our sump pump was supposedly working. Crawlspace Doctor cleaned up the area, installed new pipes and sump pumps,and new insulation, and then encapsulated the whole thing. The result is flat floors and a warmer home.

Very fair estimate. However, I ended up going with a company that also did carpentry repair in addition to sump pump work.

I was selling my house. The inspector reported that there was a crack in my basement wall and it needed repair. The buyer had a contractor come out and they quoted them for 7 plates and said that it was in dire need of repair. I called Matt for a second opinion and he said "I'd love to take your money, but that basement doesn't need any work done." Matt is one of the good guys! He saved me $8,000. THANK YOU MATT!!!

He did a great job. The work was done quickly and he removed all debris for the price .He explained why more work was not needed ie. further insulation or additional lining. I felt he was honest.

Provider was very professional and promt to respond to my request. Ultimately, the estimate to do the work was far to expensive for me to do. Not sure if this quote was in line with other companies, so I can't say this company was out of line with their quote. It was just much higher than I was expecting and I chose not to proceed.

They did exactly what they said they would do. They came back out when called about a question.

Arrived on time, did work, cleaned up after himself. Punctual, polite, answered all questions and explained what he was going to do.

Sump pump was not working. Shannon responded quickly and replaced it. Previous pump was low quality. New one is better and works great. Crawl space had water in it due to old pump not working. Shannon indicated the water would be removed by new pump and volunteered to come back in a couple of months to make sure. He did (for free) and everything is fine. He also alerted me to evidence of an unrelated plumbing leak and I was able to get a plumber out in time to avoid serious damage to the sub-flooring above.

Matt"s crew arrived on time, worked diligently and were very friendly and courteous. The prejob estimate was accurate. Emails and phone calls were always promptly answered. We were always advised on progress of job and when Matt's team would return to continue the job. We were very happy with the quality of work and will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Matt was responsive and got the job done when it needed to be done.

I liked the guy that came and worked. I had a lot of different people come and they told me a lot of things but i liked his evaluation. I do not trust the owner of the company because this guy was really reliable and good. If he found something wrong, he fixed it.

Contacted Matt on July 14, 2014 letting him know the new buyer for my home wanted to have a sump pump installed in crawl space. Had to leave a message and he returned the call setting up an appointment the for today. He arrived early in the morning with two helpers and the job was done quickly. Clean up was done leaving no signs of the work performed. Matt is a pleasant young man to work with and I have already recommended him and his company to my realtor.

Super would use Matt in future.

Matt is very good and wriggled into my small crawl space opening to check for any dead animals. Found a small spot where mice could get in and filled it. Checked for water leaks and found none. No charge because crawl space had a warranty from 4 years earlier. Very satisfied with the job they do.

He explained before hand what he was going to do, showed up on time, got to work right away. He did what he contracted to do and a little more. He answered all questions. Cleaned up after he was done. Quality workmanship.

It went great. They were very easy to work with and provided with all the info I needed to purchase my new home.

Matt and his team were courteous and professional. The work was performed on time and at the agreed upon price. There were a couple of issues that were handled immediately. We are extremely pleased with the work performed and would use them again and have recommended their work to neighbors and family.

It went simply fantastic! A big hand of applause to all on the team. My initial call was to Matt, the owner, who informed me that he would have Shannon contact me the next day. Shannon called we established an appointment that day. Shannon inspected the crawl space and made some recommendations for improving the crawl space. Shannon was extremely informative and spend at least an hour with me answering questions and sharing his experiences with me. He simply wanted me to have as much knowledge as possible about the proposed work. His time was not an issue with him and he was not a high pressure to get a contract. I signed the contract that day and we scheduled the work to be completed the following Wednesday. They called prior to arrival. Joe and Casey were the mechanics sent to complete the work. Shannon arrived shortly after to verify the scope of work and make sure everyone had a clear understanding of what was to be done. Joe and Casey are to be commended for their professionalism and craftsmanship. They both went to work and worked very diligently all day to complete the job. They were very neat and organized and did a great job in removing all debris from my property. They did not smoke while on the job and only took one short break for a sandwich at lunch. I would certainly use them again without question or reservation. They dis a great job at what i considered to be a reasonale price. They gave me a veterans discount as well! Thank You!

They were very helpful, prompt and came when they said they would. He explained everything very well.

I called and spoke with Shannon. He came out and did an inspection of our crawlspace. I had been smelling a "unpleasant odor" in our sunroom--which is over the crawlspace. Shannon came out and did an inspection of the crawlspace--took pictures--showed them to me. Said there were really no problems there right now. He was very profressional and gave me a quote of what an encapsulation would cost. Because it is not cheap--I did my research. I decided that the benefits (lower humidity in the home, heat and air conditioning going into the crawlspace) outweighed the cost--and the guarantee is for 20 years and is transferable! Matt Deiters arrived on the day scheduled and on time. He first put down covering over all flooring and stairs that are carpeted leading down to the basement. He removed all debis, etc. that needed to be removed. His two employees arrived and took over. It took approximately 2 days to finish the job. (They didn't take lunch on the second day--so they finished early!) Everyone was so professional. Friendly. They just did a great job! They also found a small drip from my sump pump pipe going outside--which they fixed. Had no idea it was doing that. Encapsulation entails blocking off foundation vents and installing a register vent in the crawlspace. Can't wait for warmer floors in the winter!! And our hardwood floors will like it too.

Matt meet me at my home right on time and provided a thorough inspection of the "problem areas" of our basement. He located the possible source of the water and suggested an easy, low-cost fix. He was very honest and up-front about what he could do, couldn't do and what he would recommend. His knowledge was very much appreciated and though our issues weren't very pressing, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for someone with a crawlspace.
