Copper Canyon Landscape Design

This company shows up on the day they have scheduled, every time I have used them. I have been using them for over 4 years. The workers are courteous , clean up the yard and drive nicer than how they found it and do a very professional job. Their winter hand shovel service is so nice. It does not tear up our yard and driveway like a plow and they even shovel out potty patches in front and backyard for my little dog! This is a company you can trust.

This is the second time we worked with Colin and his crew from Copper Canyon Landscaping. Like the first time the entire project went very well. This included prompt response to initial request, on-site review of required work with expert input, quote with revisions to meet our needs, scheduling and timely execution of the project, as well as follow-up to ensure that we were happy with the outcome. It was a pleasure to work with Colin and we love our new garden!

Colin knows what he is doing! He and his employees worked hard to make our yard look fantastic. We had an issue where one of the employees did do some damage to our AC unit. I called Colin and he took responsibility and made things right. I purposely waited a year to write this review because I wanted to see how our investment would turn out and it really looks beautiful. Colin and his secretary were communicative and delivered on their promised. The issue we had was handled in a timely fashion acted in a manner which made me want to hire him again. I really appreciate his insight, his hard work and the improvement his work made on the look of our yard.... literally a night and day difference. - Lindsey

Colin and his crew were great. They fit us into their schedule and did a wonderful job. The tarp and mulch look great and they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to family/friends.

Colin and his team did a marvelous job of prepping our landscaped beds by removing leaves and debris, adding weed control to soil, cleaning up the edges of the beds, placing mulch, and trimming various bushes that needed some TLC. The entire crew was courteous, worked hard, and did an extremely nice job. They treated our property with respect and were meticulous with clean up. We have since received compliments on the work and have referred Copper Canyon to others. Would not hesitate to contact them for any future our landscaping needs.

On 2/7/16 I emailed Copper Canyon Landscape Design. I received an email back from Colin. I set an appointment for 9 in the morning on 2/12/16. I verified my appointment and included my phone number in the email in case there was an issue. The morning of the appointment (I took off of work), Colin from Copper Canyon Landscape Design did not show up or call. I did call him and never heard back. Here it is 3+ days later and still no call/no email. I understand that things happen but when the communication starts off like this, I really cannot see it improving. Copper Canyon Landscape Design has a great rating and is probably a great company, I wish them well.

Colin and his crew were very professional. They showed up on time, on the day they said they would be there and were done when they said they would be done.Though it has not rained as of yet, so I don't know the outcome of the trench. I believe this company is true to their word and work. That is a rarity now days. Colin said that if there were problems when the hard rain came he would reassess the problem if need be. I'm crossing my fingers he doesn't have to, but have piece of mind if he does. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

We have lived on a heavily wooded lot for 25 years and got tired of nothing growing in our backyard except huge trees. We had just had 25 of these large trees removed to let sunshine into our back yard when we first met with Colin. He arrived promptly for both of our planning/quote meetings. We discussed a drainage issue in the back yard, and he gave us ideas on how to best solve it, as well as suggested plantings for the borders surrounding much of our back yard. He explained what type of grass he would be using to seed the lawn, as well as the recycled product that he would cover it with instead of straw. A few days later he provided a drawing of the plans for the entire back yard, and we approved them, including the work to solve the drainage issue. He and his crew arrived promptly on the day and time we had agreed upon, and the crew of 5 or 6 worked very diligently and quickly. 2 days later, we had a back yard transformation that was really spectacular! Of course it started out really awful, but it looked like a completely different back yard. It looked so nice that it made our front yard look pretty bad, so we asked if he and the crew could spend one more day and redo our front plantings as well. They were able to stay the extra day and did a great job on the front as they had in the back. They also "spruced up" a few little areas here and there that I did not expect, so that was a nice surprise. We do not spend this kind of money lightly, but landscaping is expensive and we feel like we got a good value. Colin and his crew were very pleasant to work with and they worked long full days to finish on time. They left everything in perfect order. Email responses were a little slow from time to time during the planning/billing process as we asked questions, but it was nothing terrible. The office manager was very nice. It's hard to find trustworthy providers and this definitely is one. We would recommend Copper Canyon to anyone!

This company is very good. Colin, the owner, designer and crew manager is very creative, hard working, responsive and respectful. He has an excellent crew and uses excellent quality plants, trees and sod. I thought the price was fair. If I can't get Colin, Michelle manages the office and is also very helpful and responsive. I will absolutely use them again!

Colin has great vision, fun to work with, knows his stuff. He is a professional. Michele in the office is organized and responsive. The crew was excellent, and professional as well. Colin is on site making sure his design is implemented. The plants are of the highest quality. The mulch and stone were place in copious amounts, not skimpy. I could not be happier with the work that Colin and his crew did. In our initial meeting, Colin listened to my wishes for the area and put my abstract ideas into a beautiful and practical combination of plants and boulders. Michele, the office manager, is very responsive and kept me updated as we moved through the process. The work happened on the date for which it was scheduled. I was impressed with how much the crew accomplished in one day - they are extraordinarily hard working with a great attention to detail. When I saw the finished project, it was such a lovely transformation! I appreciated that some of my established plants were divided and implemented into the plan. I can recommend Copper Canyon Landscape Design without reservation, and I anticipate working with them again in the future.

Collin and team did a fabulous job on my mulch beds! They exceeded our expectations.

I initially called Copper Canyon to have them come out and give us an estimate for installing a retaining wall. I had to leave a message which was never returned. It actually took me leaving 3 messages over 4 days to receive a phone call back. I was then told that Collin would be contacting me to schedule a time to come out an provide me with an estimate. That never happened. On July 14th, 8 days after leaving my initial voice mail, Michelle called to apologize as she had mistakenly not provided Collin with my information but she informed me that she had given Collin my information that day and he would be contacting me. As of today, July 21st no one has contacted me. I have now wasted 3 weeks trying to get them to provide me an estimate. I have found other companies that promptly returned my phone calls and will have someone to my residence within 48 hours. I will not be using Copper Canyon for any of my landscaping work.

They came when they said they would. They worked around the weather and got the job done within the timeline they originally quoted. Workers were respectful and courteous.

Colin is punctual, responsive, and delivers more than he promises. He provided the design services and executed them to our satisfaction. The final bill was less than the bid. We are using him right now to irrigate our entire yard, and plan to use him in the future for three more projects. Strong positive recommendation. Michele, his office assistant, is also great. HIRE THIS GUY.

We had met Colin at the Home Show, was responsive immediately and gave excellent suggestions as to how to lay out patio. I was amazed at how quickly and professionally the job was done. I worked hard last year to just get an estimate from several other companies. Excellent work and completed job looks great, I couldn't be happier, we will definitely use in the future.

They're really good. They did a great job. I'll be calling them in the Spring to do some more. They're just all around great. Their quote was very close to what it ended up costing because I added stuff. It was pretty typical. They responded and I really wanted to get the work done. They're very friendly and very much had the idea of landscaping that I wanted. Their pricing was good. I thought they were reasonably priced. The quality was excellent.

The service went fine. They were very responsive and easy to schedule with. Three technicians came out and completed the job in about 2 hours. I had them re do some landscaping. They did a good job.

Cooper Canyon workers were unable to make the original date schedule for the work. Colin was very responsive and rescheduled the work as soon as possible. As an apology for the original missed service date, Cooper Canyon cleaned out my flower bed and driveway. The wall was very nicely rebuild and done quickly with no inconvenience to me. I hardly even knew the workers were there. I would glad hire Cooper Canyon to do my work in my yard.

I contacted Copper Canyon Landscape for establishing a new paver patio, back in June 2014. Colin came over and discussed our needs. We wanted a "free-form" design with a Mediterranean look. We had a preliminary design and wanted to maximize the space available. Colin drastically improvised on the design and sounded extremely knowledgeable. He accompanied us to the stone center and discussed in detail the pros and cons of certain pavers and was extremely patient with us. We went back and forth on many stone choices and Colin was very understanding and never was impatient or pushy. Due to some personal issues, we had to postpone the build in June and were resigned to move the build to 2015, but Colin and Michelle let us know that the first week of November came open. Colin mentioned that they could get the work done by November 20. We decided to go ahead with it and Colin was prompt in arriving with his crew. They did not need our input for anything and go to work real fast. The second week of November was unseasonably cold in Indianapolis area yet barring a bad snow day, the crew worked continuously and cleared up every evening before they left. We wanted the seat wall a certain way, but he made a call to change the stone, and we were relieved that he made that change. We initially wanted a slanted pergola, but realized that it might look odd from a distance and changed our minds once the build began. Colin and his guys were understanding and changed in on the fly. Even with the cold days and work stoppage, they finished the work without too much delay. Colin likes to do everything by hand, not using CAD. There are other outdoor landscape designers who show flashy 3D images and CAD models, but they charge for the work accordingly. Some of the quotes I received were outrageous. We took a great leap of faith and in the end, we are extremely happy that we chose Copper Canyon. I will be using them again to work on the landscaping in spring to complete our outdoor work. I have already recommended him to a couple of my friends who are considering doing some outdoor landscaping in 2015.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were nice and prompt. They cleaned up after themselves. They were not there for the full time of the Big Deal.

I can't say enough great things about Colin and his guys!! When he arrived, we had a MESS!! Old overgrown weedy landscaping. Places where we had dug up old overgrown yews, and the worst was a huge gaping hole where an old fuel oil tank had been removed. I told him we wanted 'low maintenance/no maintenance" landscaping to tie in with our wonderful old farmhouse.. He quickly understood what I was asking for and did a great job of looking past the current mess and designing a plan we'll enjoy for years. He and his guys were great to have around. I couldn't believe all that they accomplished with no drama!! We are thrilled with the end result and we've gotten LOTS of compliments on the new landscaping. Great job!!!
