Description of Work: He built a retaining wall for us on a lakeside. It was a tough job. He had his workers working very hard. He is very knowledgeable. They cleaned up and everything. They were so aware of all our plantings.

Description of Work: Edged & mulched all flower beds, cleaned up a pond bank, planted bushes and hostas and trimmed some bushes. Did an excellent job and will hire again to plant a tree and do lay the patio.

Description of Work: Someone else that we still use is called Copper Canyon Landscape for landscaping. We have the landscaping for maintenance. We have them twice a year to come out and trim trees, etc. It's landscaping installation and maintenance. Mostly it's landscaping maintenance, mulching and trimming trees and then we always call them, when we first moved here, they completely redesigned our landscape.

Description of Work: Installed a 8'x12' pad using 16" patio blocks. I called a number of landscaping companies when I needed a pad laid on short notice for a hot tub I had recently purchased. Colin called back within a day and agreed to come out and assess the job. His quote was very reasonable and he and his crew came out and installed the pad the morning before the hot tub arrived. They did a wonderful job and I plan to have them out to do more work in the yard.

Description of Work: They installed an erosion control fence and fill-in on the bank of the ravine at the edge of our property. It was done well and efficiently.

Description of Work: Removed old bushes.Put in mounded landscaping in two areas ; planted new and previously owned tree and plants; mulched 3 areas; leveled and seeded area where septic had been installed. They left flags in my front where they said plantings would be placed later. In the spring they returned to redo the septic area which had not done well since winter.He denied he owed me plants where he left flags.

Description of Work: Colin And his crew helped with my landscape design, removal of old overgrown plantings, installed the new plantings, coordinated with the irrigation crew to get the drip system installed and then completed the mulching! He is an honest and hardworking business man!

Description of Work: Purchased Angie's List big deal last fall and they did a great job cleaning up the yard and flower beds. Getting ready to use them again in a few weeks for more cleanup and landscaping. Very professional and easy to work with.

Description of Work: Replaced shrubs and plants that had died, cleaned up the edging and bedding, and mulched all beds. The yard looked perfect.

Description of Work: Repaired stonewall that had sunk several inches. Sanded and sealed all of our pavers. Also fixed part of our walk that had sunk in.

Description of Work: Colin worked for Especially Gardens before he started his own business. We asked him to complete some tasks from a big retaining wall job we did with Especially Gardens in 2011. The owner retired in January, 2012. Colin added new stones and reset some existing stones to fill gaps and installed Gater Dust around the stone steps and landing. He tilled the raised beds inside the retaining walls and added compost to make the beds ready for planting. Colin and his crew are very professional and easy to work with. They take pride in their work. Colin has a degree in Fine Arts and has an artist's eye for what looks good and is functional. Prices are competitive with other landscaping companies.

Description of Work: Took out our paved patio and redid it. It had sunk in and was not level any more.

Description of Work: This is the first time that I have used this new company. I have always used an Angie's List Service Award Winning company which has recently closed. I went with Copper Canyon Landscape because the owner is the former foreman and installer of the previous company I have used. Though the company is new, Colin Thomson, the owner, has personally installed almost my entire hardscape and garden space over the years. Colin is well trained and knows exactly what to install and how to install it. His stone work is exemplary and his crew is simply the best. There is never anything left undone or out of place. This spring, I had to have a dead tree removed and several others relocated which involved a huge amount of excavation. He did a fabulous job moving a very large Japanese Maple and a smaller Copper Beech. He and his crew also did my spring garden clean up which was extensive as I had let it lapse in the fall. The edges of gardens were cleanly and neatly edged, all weeds were removed, including all in the brick walkways and a lovely, fine mulch spread so evenly that I am trying to keep my dog out of it! Colin made several suggestions of new plants for me to think about installing and he was exactly right! He also saw things that I did not and took care of them. Additionally, he is an expert pruner and he hand pruned the huge Boxwoods in front of my home. Hand pruning doesn't leave that awful "shaped" look and the shrubs are beautiful. He responded immediately to my phone call and had the job finished in two days to my complete satisfaction. I am very demanding when it comes to my landscape as I have had my gardens on several tours and they have been photographed by national magazines. I will, from now on, be using Colin and Copper Canyon Landscape Design.
