John Whitmoyer got out to look at the job, scheduling a visit the day following the call. We discussed options for the repair and long term needs for the bathroom. I evaluated the recommendations and notified Mr. Whitmoyer of just what I wanted. We agreed on a contract and work was scheduled to begin within only a few days of acceptance of the proposal. The job time was estimated at about a week and that is how long it took to complete. Workers were mindful of my home, putting drop cloths down each day from the door to the bathroom. They were very personable as well, each day explaining the day's work prior to leaving and the next step of the way. I had tile experts, plumber, and electrician involved in this job. When complete, I needed an adjustment in the plumbing and called Mr. Whitmoyer, who had someone out to customize the adjustment in the plumbing as requested within a few hours.
Description of Work: CSI was called to repair water damage to a wall and some remodeling of a bathroom. When he saw the damage, he provided expert opinion on what had to be done. I also chose to have some remodeling done. This job was finalized with a complete tear-out/removal of an old shower, including damaged wall. CSI then replaced all shower walls and laid a new concrete foundation for the new tile floor. CSI provided tile work to the shower walls, and installed a completely new shower. Plumbing work had to be done as I requested a specific new style of shower control. I also had a new shower door put in. CSI install a ceiling fan and light fixture in the bathroom, which required a roof vent and electrical work.

John came out Monday and we had agreed to give him our garage door opener so they (John & Assoc) could work on the project while we were at work. A day later I found out the shower was leaking real bad too. John explained that the previous owner had done the shower plumbing wrong and he knew how to fix it. He promised that when he was done the whole bathroom would never leak again and would look very nice.. We discussed with him remodeling this bathroom too-new sink-new toilet, new flooring and redone shower with tile on the walls. The old shower only had drywall. Everyday Johns crew came and did their work and left the garage picked up and clean when they were through. In the evening when I was home I would call John to ask questions and he always answered the phone and never put me off. At one point it was discovered that our hot/cold water turnoffs were worn (John & his team did not install these, they were already there) and causing some leaking in the unfinished shower and John sent somebody right over to look into it. The leak was stopped and they repaired these too to ensure the bathroom stayed leakproof. We discussed tile on the floor and on the walls in the shower and we decided to go with this. The plumbing in the concrete leak John discovered was caused from a nail that had got buried too and was causing a condition called electrolysis. They repaired all the leaks, (replaced the plumbing) and since it turned out we had more problems than we thought it took a little longer but they were thorough and very diligent. The tile was done impeccably and looked beautiful. Everything was installed right and the leaks were gone. John and his team tested it several times to make sure it was right. I tested it too and no leaks. They also threw in a new door and stained it too since the old one had non repairable marks on it. There was a marble ledge at the entrance to the shower. They had installed white molding at the bottom of the walls, and when they were done they painted the bathroom with a color we desired. We got a beautiful ceramic white pedestal sink and a new toilet. The floor on the shower was new too. The tile was very high grade tile on the floor outside the shower and they installed a ceramic soap dish and a marble shelf in the shower wall for shampoo and such. This turned out to be about a $12500 bathroom remodel but John worked with us on the price per what we could afford and we basically got it for half price. When they were done with the job (it took about 2 weeks), they promptly returned our garage door opener to us, which was a Sat. The following week they called after they were through and had already received payment and wanted to make sure there was nothing else we needed and if all was well with the job. John cares about striving in excellence and cares about keeping his customers happy. They are a company you can trust and count on. I would highly recommend him and his company.
Description of Work: We had an older home where the previous owner had added a bathroom in the garage and put most of the main plumbing and drain pipe to the toilet and sink buried under a raised concrete slab even though the rest of the house is on a crawl space. We never fixed this since we bought the house which has been about 15 years. We knew it would be costly and difficult because of the excavation involved. We never fixed up the bathroom because it was leaking everytime we ran the sink water, flushed the toilet or ran the shower -water would seep out from under the slab. We finally decided to fix this after obtaining a loan. I looked on Angie's List and found CSI Construction Services and called John for an appt. His previous reports were good and said him and his company were very trustworthy. This was important to us since we both worked. John came out on Sat and we discussed fixing the plumbing in the concrete, and we wanted to replace the old fixtures too, sink-toilet, new floor-his price was reasonable and he said he could start Monday-I asked him to do the job on Sunday and he started Monday.-. After a few months . . . Back in the middle of May I had the bathroom in my garage remodeled and was pleased so I submitted a report in CSI's behalf. I just want to add that a few days ago I noticed the white, attractive pedestal sink they installed had water on the floor shortly after I would use it. The plumbing in the sink is behind the pedestal stand and covers up the pipes so leaks may not be detected quickly. I examined the plumbing in the back and saw that it seemed to be coming from up above under the sink drain. Being concerned I immediately called John, the owner of CSI Const Services and explained to him what I discovered. He explained to me that Lowes does preassembled installation of the pipes and they did not install these, however he was concerned too and said he would have his plumber on staff come and take a look at it. We arranged a time and I left them my Garage door opener in the door so they could come work on it while me & my husband were at work. We did this with the initial project and they are very trustworthy people. They came when they said they would and discovered the problem, --- a cracked P-trap under the sink drain that was not visible unless removed., which is why it was not detected. My warranty was a few days over but this was not a problem. Since CSI is very responsive to their customers needs, they replaced the P-trap with a new chrome one (previously it was all plastic pvc) and a good quality chrome pipe underneath the P trap- & essentially replaced the whole P-trap section. They wrapped the chrome threads on the pipe with with white Plumbers thread and applied silicone caulk as well. As usual, when they completed their work it was leak free. They said to call if I had anymore problems with the sink. I was relieved that they were so responsive to my needs even after the initial project was already done and paid for. I must again say that this is a company you can count on and seem to always be sensitive to your needs.

Professionally speaking, their work is perfect! They're professional, prompt, thorough, clean, and courteous. I have a unique design on my textured ceiling that needed to be repaired, but despite this, they were able to duplicate it. I can't even tell where the damage was. They are THAT good and THAT focused! Personally speaking, I have not come into business with more kind and sincere people than John and his crew. I am a disabled veteran. John & his crew took it upon themselves to donate their time, labor, skill and supplies to repair my ceiling. I'm still speechless over their kindness. They come in, make things happen, take such great care of me, and then tell ME thank you on their way out??!!! Who does this anymore?!!! Unbelievable! They have been a true blessing to me and my home.

Nice job. John Whitmoyer responded quickly to my request for a bid. Work started the next week. They worked a few hours a day (which was appropriate because things had to dry) and were complete about a week later. Each of the three workers (two others named John and one named Jim) were quick to fix all concerns I had. The painter named John was especially attentive to details. Overall, nice work.

It started out good but he never called me to set a time for an estimate.
Description of Work: I called to get an estimate on replacing my kitchen counter tops with granite and renovating my master bath. John returned my call and we tentively set the following Saturday as a time for him to come and give me an estimate. Everything was perfect. They brought cleaning people in to clean up. We have worked with them for 10 years or more. They have our alarm code and whenever we need anything done we call them and they take care of it and bill us. They have always been extremely fair and trustworthy. It’s nice to be able to call them for everything. They are like one stop shopping, they cover it all.
Description of Work: They put a kitchenette and storage cabinets with water and plumbing in our garage. It looks like a kitchen remodel. They installed under cabinet lighting and a drywalled California closet for storage with lights. We put in new cabinets and they stained and finished them. They drywalled and painted our entire garage. They rewired and fixed our door alarm. They put an epoxy floor in our garage. We had a leak in one corner of our house. They repaired this corner and performed mold remediation along two walls. They also put a roof on the house which fixed the leak. They also put in new plumbing in our bathroom as well as granite countertops, new faucets and a new floor. They installed a new toilet, tub and shower and repainted as well. They also moved some furniture around from upstairs to downstairs for free and even cleaned up our cat box which was really nice. Our basement flooded twice, one time from a sump pump and the other time from water coming in our basement window. They had to take out the basement wall, drywall around the bottom and put in glass block windows. They cleaned up and did mold remediation in the basement. They put up a vapor barrier and repainted. They had to then replumb and paint our basement area. They put new carpet in. They redid the shelving in the basement.

Everything went very, very well. I was very pleased with the results, and it looks fantastic with paint on it now. One gentleman did all of the drywall work, and he was very nice and respectful. He was careful to keep the rest of the house clean and free of drywall dust. He always called to let us know when he was coming, and even came in on the weekend to get the project done quickly. I was very happy and would use them again.

CSI was one of several companies from Angie's List that quoted the job. The price was very competitive and they were helpful with making design decisions. We trusted the company with our garage passcode, they were all very professional, and personable, and easy to contact with a return call the same day. They were very knowledgeable about every aspect of the remodel of our master bath. We will contact them again for any additional remodeling we do.
Description of Work: Our experience with John and his team was very positive. The team installed a large bathtub, ceramic tile, granite counter and sinks, new overhead lighting which required some drywall work, and a new toilet. We did most of the demolition ourselves and CSI put it all back together without a glitch. They arrived when they said they would and left the worksite clean each day.

In another post I praised the work of John and his company. After we moved back into the house we found several issues. Getting the company to fix the problems and complete the job was quite the ordeal. We were able to move back into the house in September, but the job was not completed until the first week of January. The plumbing was an absolute nightmare. The hot and cold water was reversed, the piping under the sinks were so bad that hardly anything would fit under the sinks, the garbage disposal was on the wrong side, there were two leaks in the bathroom and the cap was left off of the toilet drain under the house so raw sewage was draining under the house. On Nov. 4 John agreed to pay for a night stay in a hotel due to the sewage problem (the smell was horrible and sickening!), but has yet to pay the $72.68 after 3 requests. It took 3 phone calls trying to convince him that there was a serious sewage problem that needed immediate attention. We were told that the bathroom sink leak would be fixed the week after Thanksgiving, but it was not fixed until the first week of Jan. after more than 5 phone calls begging for help. John kept telling us that his 30 day warranty was up even though the job was not done. When we signed the contract he agreed to warranty his work for one full year as that is how confident he was in his work. We are still waiting for the final walk through and he stopped communicating with us all together. John did tell us that he had a stroke sometime in mid Nov., but that had nothing to do with the lack of communication from his subcontractors or the poor plumbing job that Randy did while he was working on the house. Also, in the contract all of the rough-in plumbing was to be replaced, but the kitchen was never done. We did not find this out until after we moved back in and started having plumbing issues. I understand that this was a very large project and expected little things to come up after the fact, but we have had major issues. John's lack of communication and response, the fact that we were never paid for the hotel room as promised, and it took 4 months to complete our last punch out list is unexcusable. I would not recommend this company and will never use them again! John only tells you what you want to hear.
Description of Work: We had extensive work done in the house including mold remediation, plumbing, duct replacement, floor replacement and replacement of entire bathroom and kitchen.

We remodeled the member bathroom and replumbed their crawl space at our expense. The original estimate did not include hidden or unseen problems in crawl spaces and inside walls. The original contract did not include bathroom remodeling. The original estimate included removing and replacing the flooring, sub flooring and trim, for the home, Customer understood that the bathroom was not part of the original estimate, as per their request,. dig out crawl space, reframe floor joist,s install pea gravel, install vapor barrier barrier, install pergo flooring, duct replacement new tile work, new kitchen cabinets of their choice, new kitchen counter tops, kitchen finish plumbing and repainting interior of entire home. Problems were discoved after the work was started . The bathroom flooring was found damaged and replaced at our expense. The crawl space, and rough-in plumbing and bathroom remodeling was replaced at our expense in order to please the members, The garbage disposal was moved to the left sink per customer request The job was complete without any change order or additional cost to the members. with the exception of the bathtub and bathroom fixtures the members picked out and purchased for the free installation. Were sorry the we didn't quote and entire replumbing quote in the original estimate. There was only 8 inches of crawl space to view underneath the home at the time the first estimate was made and the member stated she did not need the bathroom included in the estimate.

This remodel included Drywall, Painting, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpet, Hardwood Flooring, Counter tops/Cabinetry, and also some design work. They were extremely trustworthy while we on the job. They actually had keys to our home and did most of the job while we were at work. They were very clean they cleaned everyday emphatically. They installed a hardwood floor in the Kitchen, Dining room, family room and hallway. The flooring was 3 and 1/4 inch solid oak. It looks beautiful and perfect. They completely remodeled three bathrooms in the home. This included retiling three bathrooms with new tile and also the electrical heating elements under the floor. These floors have LCD screens that control them for nighttime and while you are away from the home. The installation of these takes a ton of electrical work and it all was done perfect. Also in the master bathroom they removed a closet and installed a shower and Hydrtheraputic Bathtub. This bathtub is very complex it is self cleaning, has an LCD screen that controls it and lots of electrical installations required to use it. The tub was installed properly and all the electrical was done perfect. They replaced all of the interior doors in the home with solid oak paneled doors. They also replaced the front and back door and did a wonderful job installing them both. The front door is a very large oak door with two accent lights and it looks amazing. They also remodeled the Kitchen and installed Granite Counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. They Installed new cabinetry in the kitchen as well as all new appliances. They also installed a California closet in the kitchen. The kitchen remodel also included all new plumbing and also the design and installation of a new lighting system. Also in the kitchen they designed a totally awesome Mosaic tile back splash. They designed a dining room table using the same granite as the counter tops. This design and build included upholstery as well. They also remodeled the basement after fixing a leak, and some mold remediation. They then framed walls and hung drywall. They also installed carpeting, and a wet bar, and also designed and installed a new lighting system. They also repaired the hot tub and fixed all of the electrical problems with it. They also power washed and bleached the deck. Also replaced wood on the deck that was rooted and refinished the deck. They also replaced the Air Ducts in my home. They also installed a cable system and installed an HD TV. And all this took only three months!! I would highly recommend them!!
Description of Work: They remodeled my entire home. They also replaced all of our windows, approximately 15 of them.

This was a huge project that took nearly 10 weeks to complete. The house was built in 1920 and after removing the floors, it was found to have extreme mold and water damage due to improper ventilation. Also the crawl space, which was not really a crawl space, needed to be dug out.The owner, John, made several visits out to the job site to inspect the damage and helped us understand the magnitude of what needed to be done to make the house livable once again. He also agreed to cover a lot of the construction costs at no charge with us providing the materials needed, which included tearing out the bathroom and rebuilding it when it was determined that the mold was too bad to salvage that part of the house. We did have problems with the construction site manager, Randy, but John quickly responded to my concerns and removed him from the job site, replacing him with a wonderful crew of individuals who worked quickly and efficiently to finish up the job. The house is totally new now and CSI did a great job.
Description of Work: We provided all materials with the exception of the plumbing under the house and the subfloors. CSI removed all floors in our 890 square foot house and did mold remediation, dug out crawl space that was non-existent, replaced all plumbing and ducting, added a sump pump under the house, replaced subfloors throughout house, added vents to underside of house, rerouted gutters to drain away from the house, installed laminate flooring, carpeting, and ceramic tile on floors, repaired drywall damage, added ceramic tile to tub surround and kitchen backsplash, installed kitchen cabinets and appliances, installed kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures, added GFI to kitchen, installed new outdoor light fixtures

We have a full bathroom in our basement now, which is really nice. They were very good on the details. They seem to care a lot about doing the best job the right way.
Description of Work: I had 3 bathrooms repaired- we had new plumbing, new bathtub and shower, toilet pulled in one bath with a new toilet put in, new floor in one, mold removal in the basement, and extensive basement waterproofing. Downstairs they enlarged the bathroom, broke through concrete, installed a shower, bathtub, sink, and toilet in there. The put new tile floors and tile showers in, and the tile work was very beautiful. They installed a linoleum floor in the laundry room. They did electrical work downstairs, installing lights in the ceiling and did some electrical work in the laundry room. They also cleaned out my gutters and fixed a broken spigot that was causing water to go into the house every time I used it.

The work was started immediately. The workers showed up on time daily however I did ask that they not come on two different days that I had a real estate agent come in to look at the property as I had thought I might sell it soon. After all of the work was done, I was so pleased with the work that I decided to just keep the property and use it as a rental. I was also able to double the rent based on the improvements. I, most highly, recommend Construction Services of Indianapolis for whatever you need done. They were very professional and timely.
Description of Work: I had a previously contractor begin a second story addition and they failed to complete the work. Mr. Whitmoyers' company finished the framing and roofing. Completed electrical, drywall/insulation, fully added a master bath and second bath including tile work, painted all of the upstairs addition, replaced my hot water heater in the basement, replaced some plumbing in the basement that was very old and leaking, blacktop sealed my driveway, and throughly cleaned up the entire area upon completion. I do have other rental properties and will have Mr. Whitmoyers' company do additional work for me.
