 + -1 moreI brought my computer into the store, and staff very quickly performed diagnostic tests on my computer and determined the problem. Unfortunately, it was a repair that would cost nearly what a new computer would cost (motherboard needed to be replaced). Staff was honest about this and did not push me to make the repair or to buy a new system from them. I appreciated that they did not charge me for the diagnostic service, and will definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: Diagnosis of computer problem and estimate on repair.

 + -1 moreI talked to a salesman about a computer I wanted to buy, he started talking to me in computer lingo that I did not understand. I asked him to slow down, but I was not able to communicate with him. I called and talked to a manager, and he said he would call back to set up an appointment for us to meet. He never called back.

 + -1 moreGreat service. Very fair with price. Everyone was easy to talk to and explained things in a way that wasn't condescending, yet was easy for a computer lay person to understand. They said it would take three weeks to repair, and it took exactly three weeks. They also called me twice to keep me apprised of the status.
Description of Work: Repaired power jack, cleaned system, installed virus and spyware protection.

 + -1 moreCALLED THEM AND ASKED IF THEY GAVE DISCOUNTS FOR LILLY EMPLOYEES. THEY DID WHICH GOT THE PRICE LISTED ABOVE. BUT THEY OFFER OTHER DISCOUNTS AS WELL. THEY HAD THE UNIT READY AND HAD ME PICK OUT A MONITOR AND I WAS OUT OF THERE IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES.
Description of Work: BOUGHT A COMPAQ WITH 40 GIG HARD DRIVE. 128 MEG RAM WITH MONITOR AND KEYBOARD.

 + -1 moreWE TOOK THE CPU TO THE STORE. PEOPLE THERE DID NOT ''TALK DOWN'' OR TRY TO IMPRESS US WITH THEIR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE. NEXT DAY, THE TECH CALLED TO REPORT THAT HE HAD REPLACED THE POWER SUPPLY, RUN DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND THAT THERE WERE NO ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE PROMPT SERVICE (ABOUT 24 HOURS).
Description of Work: OUR PERSONAL COMPUTER CPU FAILED TO POWER UP. COMPUTER RENAISSANCE TECHNICIANS DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED.
