Ron from Fentress was the 2nd roofer I made an appointment with as I wanted a 2nd opinion. He did not feel that we needed a new roof which agreed with the first roofer. However, he disagreed with the other roofer regarding our putting out over $4,000 for a ridge vent, bigger soffitts, more insulation, etc. Unlike the other roofer, he took the time to go in our attic and evaluate things and didn't feel that we would notice much of a difference and would be unhappy to put all that money out!!!. He saw a vent where the duct work had been "crushed" and wasn't feeding through the register--he said it could be fixed with a few nails and felt we would see a noticeable difference in our electric bill! He suggested I speak with an air conditioning specialist to see if putting a bigger or 2nd air conditioner in our house would take care of our problem. He also saw that our gutters were filled with a lot of leaves, etc. and there was a lot of standing water which could create big problems. Bottom line, he spent over two hours of his time and gave suggestions for easy fixes, while not making a dime for his time! There is no question I would highly recommend him and will definitely use him for any future problems at our house. I don't know the last time I came across such an honorable contractor!!!
