College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving

They were very pleasant and careful with my things. They were reasonable priced. They were right on time for the appointment. They actually arrived early and called to make sure it was okay to arrive early. They were very professional in my home.

I had used College Hunks to haul off about 3/4 truck full of stuff the 1st part of January. At that time I had taken down my christmas tree and tossed it out by the garage, thinking I'd haul it to one of the parks for recycling. Then Mother Nature packed a few surprises for Indy and the weather conditions made it too difficult for me to manage. With Mother Nature promising a repeat storm, I was worried that this tree would end up being on my property come spring when the tulips pushed through! So I sent an email to Jeff Johnson @ College Hunks on 1/25/14 and asked if his team could haul it off before the storm rolled in. Jeff called the next morning (the 25th) to say they would swing by and get it ... and because I had just used them for a large job a few weeks ago, he volunteered to do it without charge. Now THAT'S how you do business! I was already planning to use Jeff's team in the early spring to help with cleaning out a loved one's home and garage. This generous gesture just sealed the deal!

This team was excellent. They arrived as scheduled and I just sat back and grinned ear to ear as they hauled loads of stuff from the 2nd story bedrooms. Upstairs was a queen size mattress, boxsprings and frame; a recliner; an entertainment center; a 36 inch old style tube TV (you know, the ones that are bulky and seem to weigh 400 pounds!); a computer desk with hutch; oversize stereo speakers; bedside table; 25-30 college textbooks; and a couple bags of plain old junk. Then from the garage they hauled away a refrigerator, stove, tire rim, a tire, a desktop PC, and a couple boxes of junk. They were extremely professional and hauled all of this away without dinging a single wall or door. I highly recommend them and, in fact, will be hiring them in the Spring to do a complete cleanout of a family member's home and garage. For the price, it was very very reasonable and I didn't break a sweat.

Contacted college hunks around 11am and they can that day at 3pm! Goodwill donation pickup fell thru and I needed this item moved out of my garage that day. I contacted them through the message center and they were very responsive. Honored the AL discount and even took off another $20 Dolores because they didn't use the second guy as originally planned. Jeff was kind and friendly and wouldn't even let me help load items into the truck. He explained the company and the process thoroughly before the start and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Even though he is the owner, he came out personally because other crews were booked and he knew I need this cubicle hauled away today.

Had to reschedule due to snow storm but called prior to scheduled day to request a reschedule date. Arrived on time and made phone call prior to arrival. Workers were very professional and took great care to prevent damage to finished basement walls. They called for additional help in removing the refrigerator which was very impressive. I would recommend this company for junk removal or furniture removal and would definitely use them again.

These guys were great. The refrigerators were out without a hitch. However, the solar tank was about 400 lbs. They called in two more guys and they got it out - barely. They really worked hard and were very eager to do a good job. It was well worth the expense. These guys were great.

The service was excellent....very punctual and professional, conscience of trying not to ding your walls etc. Not always a priority from other movers I have had. I was referred via the goodwill website. They will carry to goodwill or recycle.

time I've used them and I understood the program. We agreed on the price, they put footies on, went down and hauled the TV set out of the basement and loaded it in the truck. This was a job I could never have done by myself, and I don't have any family or friends who would deserve being asked to do this.

They were very good and efficient. I would use them again.

We had moved out of our house and left an old large screen projection TV at the curb. The movers had broken the screen leaving glass on the sidewalk and street. Needless to say the new tenants wanted this removed as quickly as possible I called College Hunks and they were most helpful. They were able to pick up the TV the next day and offered to send a picture so that I knew it was removed, called me when it was removed, and emailed me the invoice. The whole experience was great.

The guys from college hunks were absolutely fantastic, and made our move much easier! Their price was fair and competitive with other companies we looked at. Their employees were very friendly and respectul of our needs. If you are looking for movers I would definitely contact them!!

I contacted this company for an estimate for my move in August. Jeff (owner) and one of his staff arrived at the scheduled time and took a look at all items we had to have moved. Jeff explained the services that would be provided, the hourly rate and applicable trip charges. Both Jeff and his staff member were in uniform, very polite and professional. Although the hourly rate was just a small amount higher than some other quotes I had received over the phone, I was very impressed with this company and willing to pay extra for the quality and customer service that I expected to receive. Jeff called me the evening before the scheduled move to confirm. Jeff and his crew arrived on the morning of our move within the expected time frame. All members of the company that came were in uniform, polite and very careful when handling our possessions. They took time to put down floor covering to protect the carpet and hard wood floors in both the apartment and the house. They took care not to bang items into walls or cause any damage to possessions or walls, floors, etc. All members worked very hard and quickly. They stopped only at our urging for a quick 15 minute lunch break (they were off the clock for this time). Our move which contained enough items to fill a 2600 sq ft home was completed in about 5 and a half hours. Please be advised that we had packed all of our belongings and prepped the vast majority of it on our own, prior to the movers getting there. We will definitely hire this company to assist us when we move again!!!!!!!!! Thanks Jeff and Crew for a very easy and stress free move :)

It went perfectly. We moved here a year ago and had just gotten around to unpacking. There was so much junk it filled an entire garage stall. They were able to schedule the pickup for two days after I called. They arrived on time, were polite and personable, and went right to work. They took everything without balking and even offered to blow the leaves out of the garage when they were done! Now I can't wait to get to work on the attic because I know I'll have a way to get rid of everything I don't need. By by the way, they pass useable items on to a worthy cause.

Jeff and Colby did a great job. They were a bit later than scheduled but communicated when they would be by. They performed an onside estimate, which was fair, then immediately got to work. Roughly 45 mins to an hour later, my home was clear! They even swept out the garage. I would recommend college hunks and use them again for my next hauling job.

College Hunks Moving and Hauling Service is just great! After my dad passed, my mom needed to move in with me for a few months. They helped to move the items listed above as well as haul junk away. The young men were very professional, dressed in neat uniforms and they were very helpful. They even helped me figure out how to get the lawnmower that belonged to my dad to back up (it is a 360 mower). The overall service was just great and I would use them in the future. I have used several moving companies in the past and None...not one, compares to this provider.

I had a great experience with College Hunks. Jeff was great to work with. He and his crew were prompt and professional. They wore shoe covers and protected the floors with plastic. Work was done quickly. They even disassembled and reassembled our very heavy bed . I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I scheduled the pickup online for next Tuesday. The owner called on the Friday prior to the expected pickup date and told me that they had a last minute cancellation for Saturday morning. The guys called when they were 20 minutes out and told me when they would be there. They viewed the stuff I wanted them to take and gave me an estimate and honored the Angie's List coupon. They were courteous, professional, and hardworking.

I had a large Sony 47" TV that is EXTREMELY heavy and a smaller Sanyo 30" that needed to be removed from my place. I had purchased a new flat screen and just didn't have the space and one of them didn't even work. The two guys that came in were professional and quick. Had the items removed within 10-15 minutes. Very please with their service and thought their fee was reasonable. I would use them again if needed.

It was a wonderful experience. They showed up on time and were very professional. They were in and out in under 2 hours. We highly recommend them to anyone who has a house, basement, or garage that needs to be cleared out.
