He communicated with my insurance agent at my request and his honest evaluation impressed both me and my agent. | |Removed and discarded old shingles. Replaced roof decking as needed. Description of Work: They provided an attic inspection, insulation analysis, and weather stripping. It was a bad deal. They had no follow-up. They provided one quote and were supposed to provide an additional quote. I could have other providers come out and provide what they did for free.

Description of Work: Over the winter our chimney started leaking. Cochran came out and gave us a quote to fix the damage. Due to the CRAZY weather this winter they weren't able to come out until a few months later when the roof was finally able to be walked on. They did a great job and were extremely professional. Their price was also far more reasonable that the other two quotes we received.

Description of Work: The service to check our roof under their discounted plan was just fine once they were able to get here. However, we had asked them to check on the house siding as well. Initially, we were told that the roof repair plan with the discounted plan could be used for the siding repair but this turned out to be too impractical since their minimum for a siding repair was several $100s. Thus we decided to go in a different direction. They were slow in getting back with us on an estimate for this other work.

Description of Work: I received a call from someone representing Angie's List and advised the situation. I would not have followed up due to how sad this situation. A Cocrans rep some out, with difficulty, no follow up. The quality control individual came out. All were great to talk to, but little follow up. I finally insisted on my money back for both services and they sent the money back for the attic insulation inspection. They did not send the $99.00 back paid for the roof inspection.I did ask for my money back for the roof check I had last summer, with no response. Last summer I was advised that I had 12 to 16 years left on my roof. I had five room with some significant damage from ice dams this terrible winter. The problem was that the roof was very poorly installed. Even the roof on the front porch was rotten. I would have thought that Cochrans would have recognized the poor instillation and or the rot. It is hard to find on rotten board under the roofing. My issue is that there was lack of any protection in valleys, chimney, or any area of the roof. I should have been advised that the danger of a problem was great. I was wanting to put a new roof last summer. Again, I am very disappointed with Cochrans.
