I took the vacuum to their store. An employee asked what the problem was, then ran the vacuum to confirm what I had told him. He felt the metal wand connecting the power head to the hose was faulty, causing an itermittant connection. He put a new wand on the machine to confirm his diagnosis. I was on my way with a repaired vacuum in less than an hour.

I called 30 minutes prior to them closing for the day double checking their store hours. I told the guy who answered the phone that I would be there in 20. I arrived 10 minutes before they were closing to what I figured I would just drop off my Dyson vacuum cleaner. The guy asked me what was wrong with it...I told him that when you engage the brush it makes a grinding noise. He quickly plugged it in, heard for himself then flipped it upside down and had it apart in what seemed to be only 3 seconds. He quickly pointed out the problem, which I guess is a common issue with my particular Dyson, made a quick modification, put a new belt on for me and had it back together within 5 minutes. I was expected to be without my vacuum for a week and come back to $100 bill for repairs. Instead the knowledgable staff Cleary had me in and out within 5 minutes, and UNDER $10!!!!

I had an old vacuum that was quite old (1980's) that was malfunctioning due to a clog. I took it to Cleary to get repaired, and they also checked the motor in the unit since it was so old. They showed me how the motor was deteriorating and predicted it would only last through a handful more vacuuming sessions. Rather than charging me for the repairs, they were upfront and honest that the repairs between the clog and motor would probably exceed that of a new vacuum. They were able to find me the most updated version of my Panasonic vacuum that I liked so much (and at a very reasonable cost compared to other vendors) and even offered me money for my 80's trade-in since they would be able to use a few of the parts. Overall, I was very satisfied with them and would return for future vacuum needs.

I took my Hoover upright in because it didn't have any suction. The man in the shop cleaned the vacuum hose out in about 5 minutes and only charged me $5. It was a great experience! I will definitely take any further vacuum problems to them.

I called and they gave me a quote over the phone, which was less than the other companies. I took my vacuum to them 4th of July weekend, and I pleasantly surprised that they were able to do all the work in just a few days. They just had to replace a few minor pieces. Overall, I was very pleased.

Cleary vacuum checked the outlets in each room. They found that the unit was not getting suction. They took the unit to the their shop and brought it back and it worked perfectly. It was as good as new. They even brought back some paper dust collecter bags. The service man was very pleasant. It didn't take him long to find out what the problem was and to fix it. I would certainly use them again.

We have purchased a couple of vacuums from them. The last one we purchased was a canister vacuum. Overall, I have been very happy with them. The vacuum is an Miele. It is a nice canister vacuum. They carry all kinds of vacuums. They also do repair. We have had some vacuums in there and they do a good job. Their prices are reasonable. I can't find any fault with them. They are who I think of first when it comes to vacuums.

The owner was most helpful. He showed me the various choices, in detail. I liked the Miele series but was afraid of spending a lot on another vacuum. So, against his advice, I settled on a Hoover Wind Tunnel for $150. Once I got it home, I hated it! The roller didn't turn off for hardwood floors, the telescoping wand came apart in use, and the cord was too short. Worst of all, it was so loud I needed earplugs. I took it back the next day, not sure if he would let me exchange it. Not only did he graciously take it back for credit, but he also gave me a $30 credit to recycle my previous vacuum cleaner. (He fixes & donates used machines to charity, but only gives that credit for buying the more expensive machines.) Then I bought a Miele 7280 upright. I love it! It is quiet, works well on carpets and floors, and is very easy to use. I have taken it back once to change the belt and filter, which they will do yearly for the cost of parts. I don't expect to ever need another vacuum cleaner. I recommend Cleary Vacuum for their wonderful vacuum cleaners, and especially for excellent customer service.
Description of Work: I had not been pleased with the Riccar vacuum I'd bought years before, and finally decided to replace it. I was looking for a different brand, but not sure what I wanted, even after researching online. The choice seemed to be between buying a cheap one to replace frequently, or an expensive one to last for years. I also hadn't decided whether an upright or canister would meet my needs.

They were able to use the parts to fix it without having to order stuff. There was some dysfunction of the vacuum cleaner. I was satisfied with them. I used it for about 2 or 3 months. They guaranteed their work for 30 days or something like that. I bought a new one though. I would use them again in the future.

My Dyson went bad and was under warranty. I went to Cleary's on 96th Street. Dyson dropped the ball with the repair specs and Chris offered to call Dyson and resolve it himself. I made the call and worked it out with Dyson for Cleary's to rebuild my entire Dyson due to a flaw in the design. Chris had the entire machine repaired and working great in less than five hours. They explained what was wrong, showed me the repaired parts and sent me on my way. Chris was knowledgeable and I will visit this shop if future problems arise.

I arrived at the store with a previous bad experience with another dealer. The Cleary store owner listened to my critique of my previous experience of needing only a new belt for my vacuum, and replaced my belt within 30 seconds, discussed with me possible future attention to my machine, readjusted a cord holder on the handle, and said, "No charge." He carried the vacuum to and from my car. He was so excited and grateful to receive a tip!

Our Dyson was still under warranty and we contacted this company to repair the vacuum cleaner. When we dropped of the vacuum they offered a full detail/cleaning of the vacuum cleaner for an additional $30 so we took them up on that offer. When we got the Dyson back it was spotless and it worked again like new. We were happy with their service and price and would use this company again if our Dyson ever acts up.

I bought my vacuum cleaner 18 months ago from Mr. Cleary. He spent a lot of time showing me various ones, and he thought my needs would be best served with a more expensive Miele ($700). I opted for a cheaper ($150) Hoover, and he was right...I hated it. It was way too loud, had a short cord, was hard to push, and did not seem durable. I brought it back the next day. He gave me a $150 credit for the Hoover, as well as a trade-in for my old vacuum cleaner. I love the Miele! It worked perfectly until Saturday, when it suddenly sounded different and lost suction. Mr. Cleary hooked it up to his strong house vacuum and pulled out....a plastic bag such as newspapers come in! He didn't charge me anything.
Description of Work: After over a year of enjoying my new vacuum cleaner, I brought my Miele in for service because it had lost all suction.

I took the cleaner in to the store. Someone looked at it right away and found a plastic shield that was out of alignment. They fixed that and everything was fine. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. When I expressed my displeasure with Bissell as a brand they shared their experiences with company and suggested a different brand that they feel is better for when I'm ready to replace this unit. They also suggested a product to use in the cleaner as a rinsing agent. The gentlemen there were very kind and knowledgeable. They took great care of me and didn't charge me for their time. When I'm ready to replace this cleaner, I'll buy my next one from them

The whole experience was great ! Mike Cleary of Cleary Vacuum fixed my vacuum cleaner hose for free. He was so kind, professional, and helpful. The hose would have cost me $25 elsewhere. I also had a coupon (from Coupon4Indy.com) that if you purchased 2 packages of vacuum bags, you get one free. I left his shop with a fixed hose and 3 bags of vacuum cleaner bags all for $9.90 !! Mike certainly knows how to run a business. Such great personal customer service. A rare thing to see anymore. I will definitely shop here again and recommend anyone else to go there. I can't say enough good things about him. My next vacuum cleaner will be coming from Cleary Vacuum. Keep up the great job. Customer service really creates a great business.

When I explained the problem (no suction from base and limited suction from hose), he knew exactly what was wrong with it and advised it would be about a $200 repair. He asked if I had called Dyson and when I told him no, he suggested I call them because the problem I was having is a known issue and Dyson had been paying for the repairs (he showed me 4 other Dysons just like mine in the back of their shop!). I went home and called Dyson and even though I had not registered my vacuum when I initially purchased it, they took my information and sent a work order to Cleary to have the work performed! Wonderful customer service from both Cleary and Dyson. I will be taking my vacuum back to Cleary today to be fixed.

Last week while vacuuming, my Dyson starting making a very loud noise and the beater bar quit working. I could not even turn the beater bar while the vacuum was off. I called Cleary to see if they worked on Dysons, and was told they were the only authorized repair company in my area. I took the vacuum to Cleary on Wednesday. When I told the worker exactly how the vacuum was acting, he immediately said it was the clutch. He confirmed this one minute later when he turned the vacuum on. He said this is a very common problem with my particular vacuum. He quoted me a price of $70-120 and said to give them one week to get it fixed. I had a message on my answering machine the next day saying the vacuum was fixed. The final bill was $111. It vacuum works great and they even cleaned it up and made it look brand new!!
Description of Work: The clutch broke on my four or five-year-old Dyson vacuum cleaner. Cleary relplaced the clutch, internal hose, and HEPA filter.
